Osceola looks the same - I agree that the extra distance seems to be in that out-and-back just before AK, like in this year's W&D. And the DHS section is like Dark Side.

Something that's been bugging me is how are they going to know who has race retreat for people getting into the expo early? I bought mine but I'm driving in after picking up a rental car for a day. Is there going to be a list of names or something? I know usually we don't get race retreat stuff until were at the expo and so far I haven't seen anything to indicate how they are going to know if you actually have Race Retreat.

I'm SSR this year too...great spot for hopping over to Disney Springs for post-race refreshments!

OKW for us, so easy access to Disney Springs as well.

I literally just received an e-mail from runDisney on this - and I'm so happy to have info on this before race weekend:

It’s almost time to celebrate the 2017 Walt Disney World ® Marathon Weekend presented by Cigna! As a participant of the VIP Race Retreat Package you receive exclusive early access to the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, from 10:00am – 11:00am.

Your early access provides you exclusive entry into:

• Jostens Center, for official runDisney merchandise
• HP Field House, for packet pick up

You will receive a Race Retreat check-in pass the week of December 19 from runDisney. This Race Retreat check-in pass will be used to grant you early access. Please bring the Race Retreat check in pass, printed or on your mobile device, with you to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex when you check-in. The Race Retreat Early Access check-in area will be near the Box Office. This area is to the left, at the bottom of the ramp, before you enter through the ESPN Wide World of Sports gates.

Check-in begins at 9:00am, however race weekend transportation will begin at 9:30 a.m. from Walt Disney World ® Host Resorts.

Hmmm. Here's a question. The e-mail, above, says we'll have access to Jostens and HP Field House from 10-11am, before expo opens at noon. It doesn't mention Champion Stadium, and the event guide says 5K packet pickup and race retreat pick up is in Champion Stadium. Since it's an open air setup in the stadium, I hope that means they are distributing race retreat bracelets and 5K bibs at 10am. Or maybe that's obvious and this is a silly concern.

The half is a bit different inside MK, last year the half did not go through new fantasyland.

After a chat with @FFigawi, I think we're in agreement on "hosting" a meet-up at Beach Club!

Friday, 2 p.m., at Hurricane Hannah's - it's the pool bar accessible from the Boardwalk loop. We'll be in the bar area, but can also spread out into the table area.

I'll post updates closer to the date if there is inclement weather.

If you're planning to drop by, please let me know so I can give the bar a heads-up!

I should be there. I get two whole days solo before the family comes over. I'm not going to know what to do with myself!

Looks like in DHS you'll go in from behind ToT. Used to go in the backlot way of course but of course the backlot is now dirt.

It looks like you run Sunset blvd. inside of DHS,any chances of runners getting on ToT.There's no singles line at ToT but if you run with your magicband and get a FP+ for ToT for your estimated time to run into DHS the wait might not be too bad but then again thinking about it with the preshow and loading its not a very fast ride to get on and off but I have a feeling if its possible runners are gonna ride it.
