I think for costume I am safe since I'm just wearing Minnie/Epcot themed running gear. Stuff I'd be able to wear inside the theme park without anyone batting an eye. Even though it sparkles.
But I was looking forward to seeing all the wacky costumes other people come up with!
I'm thinking that I will be bringing my magic band, couple $ for my pocket, my throwaway jacket w gloves if needed, and my cell phone only for the 5k. No headphones this time...I've liked my no music races the last two times even though they were accidental no music races. I like running better without them in my ears too...and this may be the only race that I care so little about pace that I probably will just use the actual time on my cell as my cue if I should wait for a picture or not at any given time. So weird for me to think about because of how closely I follow pace all the other times I run. (now if Santa somehow gifts me a running watch then of course I will wear that and use it!!!) Do they play loud music at the corrals anyways for me to get pumped up to before the races if I don't bring any?
Should I slip a driver's liscense in my cell phone case too just in case I want a post race beer?
All of my sweat may be perceived as a youthful glow right, and make me look years younger?

And probably stop promoting their races using pics of people in costumes in the meantime, until their official stance is sorted out and communicated to everyone.
I retell this story all the time, because that weekend seriously scarred me for life, lol! I wasn't running, but I was at WDW that 2010 marathon weekend and happened to be up and out early the morning of the half... I'll never forget getting into my car at the resort and trying to make sense of the little blobby, crystal-y things pelting down on my windshield... and the 20+ year northerner in me finally pulling it out of memory, "OMG, it's SNOWING!!!!!" Then getting to the TTC and seeing some half finishers on the monorail; they literally looked blue-toned, they were so devoid of color, and shivering harder than I thought was humanly possible. I couldn't even imagine being in their shoes. Since then, I've amassed a huge collection of potential throwaway race clothes, plus a lifetime supply of mylar blankets, just in case, lol!
