Maple Syrup??

another alternative... order real maple syrup from www.mousehouseconcierge.com along with anything else you'd like to have on board (i.e. wine, case of water, surprise gifts, etc) and have them deliver it to you at the port... easy peasy and no sticky mess!

Yeah, I was all over that idea! Until I saw that the $35 delivery fee. I guess if you're staying at WDW before hand it is worth it. Otherwise, that's some seriously expensive maple syrup.

..another $10 bucks and you can buy a gallon of that liquid gold......

LOL! If you are ordering wine or other adult bevs, plus water, etc it's totally worth it... figuring three glasses of wine can cost $35, you've already realized some savings... of course if it's just syrup you're after, well, then, yeah, likely not worth the cost.

Thanks for all of the responses. I know how I am going to handle the logistics of this now. pirate:

I will buy a bottle from our local grocer (glass bottles only). I will go to our local liquor store and get a wine thingy. :thumbsup2 Then wrap in a couple of ziploc bags, then bubble wrap. That stuff is expensive and I don't want broken glass or syrup in my luggage, let alone someone else's.

I will pack it in our checked luggage for the flight. We are staying the night at AS Sports before the cruise, so will unpack the syrup and carry on board.

Sometimes I just need someone to point out the obvious solution. :rotfl2:
Avoid the glass issue by transferring into Nalgene bottles - local camping store, or even better, ContainerStore for a variety of sizes. I've traveled, backpacked, and shipped liquids in them for years. In luggage, I "belt & suspenders" with a ziplock freezer bag.

DW, from NH, has taught me well, and we never travel without REAL maple syrup, since pancakes or french toast is usually a vacation indulgence. We'll even dose up baked beans if they happen to be on a menu.

Best of luck, enjoy your cruise!!
