Makeup for Disney!

Hey all! I just wanted to share something I have been experimenting with. Like many of you, I really like the Revlon Lip Butters and have about 10 of them, lol. I like how they feel on my lips and the subtle hint of color. However, sometimes I find myself re-applying pretty often, so I began layering them. I have been wearing the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stain Balm underneath the Lip Butters. And have been reapplying much less. The stain feels like a balm, but really puts a lot of color on your lips. The lip butter gives the moisturizing feel and a nice sheen.

One of my favorite pairings for a pretty nude lip is the Honey stain and the Creme Brûlée lip butter. For coral I like the Rendeavous stain and the Tutti Fruitti lip butter.

Anyway, just thought I would share!

Thanks! It's funny because I was thinking about this the last time I was at the store! :)

Thanks for sharing. I've been layering some of the
Butters together too such as fig jam and creme
Brûlée and Cheryl tart and ceamsicle. I'll try the
Stains too!

I am thinking about getting eyelash extensions before we leave for our trip and I was wondering if any of you girls here had them and how you liked them. They say you don't need mascara which I cannot even fathom bc I am obsessed with mascara. I wonder if you can still use it if you want. I have blonde hair/blue eyes and without mascara my eyelashes look pretty much clear so I am thinking this might be the best option. I have done the eyelash tinting before but didn't really make much of a difference.

I used to have eyelash extensions. Like you my eyelashes are pretty light and I have blue eyes. I loved them while I had them, I did not need mascara. Like others have said there is a special mascara you can use if you feel you need to. (basically it is mascara that is not waterproof). Also like others have said in order to keep them longer you need to avoid rubbing your eyes. The person who did my extensions moved so I either had to find someone else or try something different. After some research I decided to try latisse. And so far so good, my eyelashes are darker and added bonus so are my eyebrows. I naturally have almost blonde eyebrows, I have using the leftover latisse from after I put on my eyelash line on my eyebrows. It is actually ending up to be cheaper then maintaining eyelash extensions. And I can rub my eyes again. lol

Is it changing your eye color? My eye doctor would not prescribe it to me because he said I have too pretty of a eye color and he will not risk letting me do something to change them. I thought I heard there is something else out there that is non Rx and helps them grow but does not cause the change in eye color. I guess I will wait and see how I like these...I say this as I rub my eyes. That will be so hard for me bc I do it every evening, lol.

Elizabeth Arden/Allergan make a lash serum that is sold online and in department stores, though I don't know of anyone that has used it. May be something to look into though :)

I've been reading this thread in awe - I'm a makeup dummy and had never heard of a lot of these products! In summer I usually just wear Chapstick w sunscreen during the day.

Quick question for you gals though - how do you deal with reapplying sunscreen ?
I burn very easily, so I have to wear sunscreen and be good about reapplying every 2 hours even when wearing a hat. How do you do that without messing up the makeup?

Great question! Haha! I have been wondering the same thing although I haven't had much of a problem with my face burning when I have all my make-up on.

I just purchased some of the ELF makeup setting spray this weekend and I'm LOVING it! It was $3.00 for a small bottle but it doesn't take much at all. I'm a teacher and my makeup used to be gone by lunch but it lasted all day today!

Of course, I use sunscreen under my moisturizer and makeup. To re-apply throughout the day I use either spray sunscreen (I like Neutrogena) or I use a finishing powder with SPF ( such as Bare Minerals mineral veil with SPF 25). HTH!

Great idea! I am going to pick up the stain balm and try this.

No, it hasn't changed my eye color. That is why I was afraid to try it at first. And lol I think they eyelash extensions made me want to rub my eyes more just cause I wasn't suppose to rub them. I did really like how they looked though.

Ulta is finally coming to my town! Along with Lip Butters, do they also carry Shiseido??
Are their perks and promotions better than Sephora?

I don't think they carry Shiseido :( Their points can be used for dollars off your purchase.

Thanks! Shiseido is the only product that doesn't turn my Asian skintone orange! Does Ulta have a good return/exchange policy?

Some areas of the country still run the old levels program, where each $50 you spend in the quarter bumps you up a level to receive your choice of a certain grouping of products for free.

Forgot that I use Anastasia gel and powder on my eyebrows! Yes I know I use a lot of different products, but a little bit of each makes a big difference in helping my face not melt!
