Makeup for Disney!

Oh, oh, oh, I asked about the Porefessional the other day. Does it do a good job of minimizing pores? We have very similar taste in makeup. :)

Sorry I didn't see this until now it works great on minimizing my pores. You only need a small amount and it makes your skin feel smooth

Maybe Red Velvet?? Or, is that one of your 11? :thumbsup2

It's not actually. Haha. The ones I have are:

Cup Cake
Cherry Tart
Berry Smoothie
Tutti Frutti
Peach Parfait
Fig Jam
Pink Truffle
Strawberry Shortcake

And of course the 3 I mentioned earlier but I am taking two of them back :) Thanks for the recommendations!

For those that use the UD setting spray, do you put it on before or after makeup,or both? I put it on today after flu ration and powder and it did leave my face looking a little moist and less matte, which I didn't like.

I do both :) Haven't had that problem though once it dries completely. I use the All Nighter.

I used Philosophy's "The Present" under makeup, and UD setting spray on top.

I have incredibly oily skin and have tried everything under the sun. I put my make up on and within minutes I am all shiny: ( I just picked up a few products that seem to be working wonders;

I spray my face first with Urban Decay de-slick - oil control
Put on my foundation (Dior)
Set with Aqualillies for Tarte - Amazonian clay finishing powder
And blot when needed with Urban Decay de-slick Mattifying Powder (it's a compact).

HTH someone!

When I remember, both. It works better that way. With the after spray, I spray before adding my setting powder. It needs about 30 seconds to dry.

I am going to Orlando in 2 weeks (to Universal don't hate me LOL) and here are the beauty products I am taking:

From the top left:
- eyelash curler
- Clinique Superbalanced powder makeup (love this! I have been using it for years)
- UD De Slick - I got this sample from Sephora and I will be using it for the first time
- Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer
- Garnier BB Cream for combo skin - my new favorite product!
- Suave Dry Shampoo - love this! My hair gets so oily in the theme parks.
- Anastasia Clear Brow Gel - I just got this in my Ipsy bag and I really like it.
- Loreal Double Extend Mascara
- Cover Girl eyeliner - I don't like this at all, I won't buy it again, but it's OK for now
- Sonia Kashuk Eyeshadow Duo in Leather & Lace - this is very light and natural looking
- Nars Deep Throat blush
- Boots (from Target) blush in Soft Damson - just bought this and I really like it! The color is lovely.
- my handy sock bun thing I got from Sallies. If you like buns these are great!
- new goody clips- I have side swept bangs but I tend to pin them up at theme parks

This doesn't include my lip products, but I will probably just bring my Color Whispers - love those!

Thanks for letting me share!

I have the same problem with oily skin. I use the Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Stay-Matte Hydrator under my makeup then set it with UD De-Slick. It works great at keeping oils at bay. I still end up using blotting papers but a lot fewer than I used to!

It's kind of pricey but I think it's totally worth it.

You are going to think I am crazy but......

Unless you are a teen, try this....

Step away from oil control products for a while. You may be stripping your skin from much needed hydration. Wash your face with a gentle cleanser and use a light moisturizer. Exfoilate every few days with a skin rejuvinating prodict (Oil of Olay makes a great rejuvinating scrub). Switch to a tinted moisturizer (Bobby Brown is the best for my oily skin) or a CC cream (Clinique is my preference). You can get samples of both) Set with your clay finishing powder. I'm betting in a few days you will see
a remarkable difference.

A friend/cosmotologist suggested this for my ridiculously oily skin and viola!!!!
She explained when you strip your skin of oil and you use oil control products, your skin must work double duty to get back to a balanced state. Once it's balanced, your skin is happy. (My eye lids are so oily I've never found an eyeshadow that stays put for more than 30 minutes.

Can't hurt to get samples and give it a try.

Good luck!

I had to do this because my skin went from crazy oily to super dry so for a month I used Lush's Ultrabland which is supposed to get your skin balanced and it worked really well.

You name it, I have to deal with it.... skin that's dry, oily, prone to breakouts, and beginning to get fine lines. Trying to *find* the perfect foundation that won't cake, dry, break me out and has staying power is like the search for the Holy Grail.

I finally found something that work in the cold dry northeast and the heat/humidity of FL....and I have tried them ALL. Clinique Acne Solutions foundation is by far the best yet. It doesn't break me out and offers full coverage for those, em, not-so-perfect skin days. It lasts a good 8 hours too...also, surprisingly doesn't dry or flake my skin. If my skin is behaving a little more nicely, I sheer it out with Clinique Dramatically Different Gel moisturizer for less coverage, but still get equal staying power. In WDW, I apply a very light finish of Clinique's loose powder with a Stppling brush over it. Never disappoints... :thumbsup2

Beyond the foundation, I rotate all kinds of makeup items depending on my mood! Sadly, I don't love Clinique's concealers...so rotate Estee Lauder Double Wear (I feel this is close to waterproof) and Maybelline's Age Rewind roller under my eyes. For mascara, I always seem to go back to L'Oreal's Collagen Volumizing and just get the waterproof formula for vacation.

Isn't combination skin fun!

Add dark spots to my list of "oh-so-lovely" skin problems

Here is a fun little trick though: Apple Cider Vinegar Toner! It smells somethin' awful but I have already noticed a difference in my skin. It is a lot calmer and looks much better too. I use the organic stuff from Trader Joe's. I use the stuff by itself but you can cut it with some water because it does burn your eyes and nostrils when you apply it. Haha.

Yes- it's a real joy! :woohoo:

I'll have to try the cider vinegar! Thanks for the tip...I actually love vinegar, but it's my poor DH that will probably run for the hills if I try it....lol

Haha! He might. My cat finds the smell interesting. The BF is usually asleep so he doesn't seem to notice :rotfl:

Hey all! I just wanted to share something I have been experimenting with. Like many of you, I really like the Revlon Lip Butters and have about 10 of them, lol. I like how they feel on my lips and the subtle hint of color. However, sometimes I find myself re-applying pretty often, so I began layering them. I have been wearing the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stain Balm underneath the Lip Butters. And have been reapplying much less. The stain feels like a balm, but really puts a lot of color on your lips. The lip butter gives the moisturizing feel and a nice sheen.

One of my favorite pairings for a pretty nude lip is the Honey stain and the Creme Brûlée lip butter. For coral I like the Rendeavous stain and the Tutti Fruitti lip butter.

Anyway, just thought I would share!
