Oh my! :crazy2:

Or at a theme park during a major holiday. :p

BTW, those rides were added to the park well after it opened. Epcot was not built around them, by any means:crazy2:

Oh I'm well aware of that. I remember when TT was World of Motion and Mission was Horizons. I wish they kept those and added the others instead of replacing them. They were deifnitely dated retro-future, but they had their charm.

Dang. But wait, you forgot to mention the big headliner! Captain EO! ;) :rotfl2::banana:

Dan

Poor Captain EO - he's not getting any love. No matter how many people they pack into Epcot that attraction still has just a 5 minute wait. And I bet you can still get an FP for it at a kiosk! :)

In fact, it looks like he's the only thing left:

Today's a major holiday?

With Easter being last weekend I would have thought the busy period was over?

TP has Epcot at a 7 out of 10 today. Does that sound right?

It depends on when Easter falls in the year. The earlier in the year the week after is busy, the later the week before. I think it mostly has to do with K-12 and few late College spring breaks.

There are a lot of K-12 schools still having spring break this week and next week. We're lucky--our school district always has their break somewhat later in April (this year it's the week of the 20th), so we miss the peak of the mobs.

How is a 220+ minute wait even possible? That is 3 hours. Is the ride not RUNNING? Who would even wait for that? I would think once a rides queue gets so long .. that people just give up going INTO it .. (thus keeping the wait time relatively stable).

Whether people like it or not, the Frozen pavilion WILL help disperse the crowds (not only at Epcot .. but the MK as well) .
Same with Avatar land ..

But until then ... long wait times for the two best attractions at the park.

So if today is a "7" at Epcot according to TP, is this what to expect? Or are they wrong?

I'm trying to visualize (without pictures, thank you) what the crowds and waits are like for an "8" day which is what most days we are considering going are rated at.

Many people had off Good Friday and Easter Monday, and in GA the kids have off all this week, so they take an extended Disney vacay.
Lots of parishes in Louisiana are off this week too. So I'm not surprised with the wait times and crowds.

with wait times over 200 minutes. This is one time TP is wrong. They can only go by previous data. So when easter falls the way it did this year, and the piggy backing on how spring break functioned in a lot of states, they have only to go with an educated guess.

I noticed pretty high waits across parks today via the MDE app. I too am curious if others feel that a 7 is accurate and if so what an 8 or 9 would look like.

Our spring break was last week, and a gal I work with went to Disney. She said the crowds weren't bad. So I guess this week was a more common week to be off.

Alabama area schools are off this week. A lady from my school was going and said "I dont need fastpasses my father in law is in a wheelchair so we will get front of the line access" Curious to hear the horror stories when she gets back. In our very small private school we have 2 DVC owners and 2 very addicted frequent visitors. We all just shook our heads and said "ok then!"
