Major waits in Epcot!

The Apocalypse is nigh! Captain EO Fastpasses are all gone, it was the seventh seal.

Now we just wait for the end to come. Any guesses ladies and gentlemen? Will it end with a whimper or a bang, in ice or in fire?

Or perhaps it will end with a horrifying dance number featuring the "ketchup" and "mustard" dancers cavorting about to a song about how they are going to change my mind and then abandon all reason or discourse and just shoot me with a ray gun?

Nemo was listed as a 10 minute wait while LwtL was 35.... We walked over and it was actually a walk on. Another thing that surprised me was no waits at all for any of the flower and garden food booths. It was brutally hot in the middle of the day, but once the sun started to set it got quite comfortable. Here's a couple of shots from today at Epcot:

Thanks! Most of us LOVE pictures!!!

Poor Captain EO - he's not getting any love. No matter how many people they pack into Epcot that attraction still has just a 5 minute wait. And I bet you can still get an FP for it at a kiosk! :)

In fact, it looks like he's the only thing left:

Too funny!!! :rotfl2::thumbsup2:laughing:

7 is not accurate. Today is a 9 or 10. I have been in many parks on 8s and 9s and this is the busiest it's been for me. Surprisingly, There was no wait at all for my avocado margarita!!

Perfect!!! :drinking1

We were there last weekend on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The crowds were much lighter that expected. Pleasant Surprise. Largest crowds we encountered were are DTD on Easter Sunday evening. WOW! Shoulder to shoulder!!!

Alabama area schools are off this week. A lady from my school was going and said "I dont need fastpasses my father in law is in a wheelchair so we will get front of the line access" Curious to hear the horror stories when she gets back. In our very small private school we have 2 DVC owners and 2 very addicted frequent visitors. We all just shook our heads and said "ok then!"

Not all AL areas. Some were last week and others the week before!!

For the last couple of days, Touring Plans has said that they predicted crowds at level 7 but that they actually saw crowds of level 10 at all 4 parks. So, their predictions have been off.

We are here this week because the district where my daughters teach has their spring break. I think most schools in Wisconsin are off this week and we have seen a lot of people with T shirts indicating allegiances with things from Wisconain and Michigan. A lot of high school senior trips from various parts of the country too.

They said that wait times at Universal yesterday were outrageous too, and that was apoarently before they started wanding and patting down guests at some of the coasters.

Seems like I've been hearing that a lot lately. Is there a way to know how often they are correct or even close? Like do they benchmark themselves somewhere on their site with something like "75% of the time we are right on the mark" ??? Otherwise, it's no better than a weather forecast in terms of accuracy.

Most of the schools in my area of WI had break last week.

I don't know if they summarize or benchmark their accuracy, but you can go to the "historical crowds" link under the "crowd calendar" tab on their page. Choose a year and month and then click on any individual day and they will indicate what their prediction was and what the actual crowd level (observed) was. I'm not sure if that information is available to anyone or only those with a subscription. I currently have a subscription because of an upcoming trip.

I was wondering about that yesterday. Do they not adjust their predictions for when holidays/special events fall or is it strictly data from the same date last year? If they don't adjust, then they don't seem all that reliable to me. :confused3

Good grief!! Soarin' is always packed. LOL at Captain EO! I really is kind of weird to go back and watch it as an adult.

We were at Epcot yesterday and it was crazy. We had FP for TT and the line was way out of the building. We waited at least 20 mins with a fast pass.

Crowds have been way higher than we anticipated. We were at MK Wednesday when it was a level 10. They quit selling tickets. We managed to get everything we want though with the help of EMH and FP. Hoping crowds die down this weekend....Hoping lol

I would need a few avocado margaritas to get me through a 9 or 10 crowd level day :)

We were at the MK this morning at 7 and stayed through the early FOF parade.

We'll see if this is supported by Touring Plans report, but it seemed less crowded (while still very crowded) than it was on Wednesday. It didn't help though that Splash Mountain went down shortly after it opened. We were going to ride it at about 8:45 after riding BTMRR, but the ride was down and they were evacuating people stuck on the ride. IT still wasn't open after a few hours but apparently did open later.

I think that, while MK was the recommended park on Wed, I bet that DHS was beyond crazy that day too .... We did DHS today and it seemed less crowded than what I was expecting, even as a recommended park. I have a feeling that many vacationers went home today....

Wow. 7am. I applaud your ability to get up early enough to be there at 7am and take advantage of what I would think would be lower crowd levels, but I don't think I'd ever be able to get out of bed while it's still dark outside when I'm on vacation :)

Smart move! I was looking at wait times earlier today and DHS looked like it had the lowest for sure!
