LOVED your memories. They are all so sweet and special.

Your son riding TOT for money is so funny. I wish we could've had video of it. You'd win a prize.:goodvibes

And honestly--- anyone know of anything that has had such a positve effect on so many lives as all that Walt Disney created???

It is mind blowing when you think of it.

Okay so let's see- some of my memories from my life....

* The Christmas after it opened- my first trip to Epcot holding my Dad's hand walking thru the park and splashing in the puddles with him, even though he was wearing his cowboy boots. :lovestruc It was the only time he went to WDW with me and mom. It was really neat for me, even at 13, to be there with him and listen to him give his opinion on that park- (he was an engineer).

*Our honeymoon........:cloud9: I look back at those pictures and we were so young.

*Our first time taking the kids-- and they hated it b/c it was Christmas and they were miserable from the crowds. I promised them that I'd take them back when it wasn't so crowded and they'd love it. And they did.

* Our visit in October 2006 when Mickey Mouse took Belle by the hand and led her to his house in Toontown and we had a meet and greet alone with him for about 15 minutes. The image of her and him walking hand in hand is imprinted upon my heart and will never ever fade.

*Drew being chosen to be in the play at Belle's storytime- and he couldn't enjoy it b/c he knew his baby sister, Belle, loved that Princess so much and hadn't been chosen to be in it. The next yr, he was chosen again---- and he was visibly worried- until they chose his sister to be with him up there. It was such a sweet snapshot into his personality. Always looking out for his sister, even though she gives him an awful time.

*MCat, my oldest, in 2008 waking up and seeing the tickets that "TinkerBelle" had left the kids, along with new Halloween costumes to attend MNSSHP that night. She was so excited, even as a stinky "I'm too cool for this" preteen and couldn't contain her happiness. All three kids jumped up on their beds and did a dance at 7 am in CBR in their PJ's.
And then seeing her transform from that Stinky preteen into a costumed, beautiful Alice in Wonderland.....:lovestruc

* That MNSSHP--- it probably was the best night of our lives in all the times at WDW. It was just magical and special and we all hold it dear in our hearts as a time of togetherness.

I think we all could go on for hours about all we have each experienced while there.

It's why we'll always keep going back for more.

Thanks for sharing some of your favorite memories with us JO! :goodvibes Those are some pretty fantastic memories. :lovestruc

You really have me wanting to go to MNSSHP sometime! ::yes::

Anyone else have any wonderful Disney memories they would like to share with us? popcorn::

Great post idea Shelly!

One of my favorite memories was in May 2007 when we walked into on to Main Street at Magic Kingdom. The four of just stood looking at the castle for a few minutes taking it all in - we were really there. Now, our family are die hard Disney geeks (we read about Disney history. we go to Disneyland weekly, my wife worked for WDC Burbank, etc.) But this trip was so special - it was seeing and experiencing Walt's vision realized in Florida.

It made me think that if he could accomplish his dreams and visions, I could do the same.

It is amazing when you think about what one person can do with their life whose goal was to make other people happy is probably one of the best business ideas ever.

Thanks for sharing your memory Sea! :goodvibes What a wonderful moment that must have been for your family after having been to DL so many times, to finally be standing on Main Street USA in Florida. :cloud9:

Shelly - I just talked with my dad, he is about 75 miles east of WDW and he says it has been nice and mild the last few days. Some rain in the afternoons, but it stops after a while. Low humidity! I hope it stays that way!

Whoa, that is a lot of clothes! You will be the best dressed in WDW that week, I am sure.

Reminder - just don't dress like a tourist in Florida - remember what the police officer said to me: "Be careful out there, they kill tourists in Florida!"

:lmao: :cool1: :lmao: Sea :cool1:

Close enough for weather reports! Love it!!!!

I loved reading all the memories. I can only think of my most recent trip right now- I just finished scrapping the page for it which is why it's fresh on my brain. When we hopped on the monorail to go to MK on our first day last Jan Andrew put his arm around Em to keep her safe and they sat like that staring out the window for a glimpse of the castle. I just love the way Disney brings families together and makes everything so magical.

HI SHELLY!! I just found you:banana::banana: I love al of your plans..and jealous that you leave a week before me;) I am so in love with your Osbourne lights!!! I have been to Disney at least 20 times and that is one thing I have never seen!! I am beyond excited to see it.
What did you ever do about the photopass???Sorry I never go back to you..its been a crazy few months with unemployment, a trip to Alaska etc

Welcome Andrea! Long time no "see"! I wondered where you had gone off to and if your trip was still on. We waited awhile for you but eventually went ahead and got the photopass all worked out.

I am so excited for you to get to see the Osborne Lights for the first time!! :cool1::santa: It is so awesome!

I'm hoping the weather is great for your week too! :wizard: Going to check on mine now. . . :surfweb:
