How long before the parade at the party do you need to grab a spot? My kids are not much for waiting. And I really want to see this parade!!

I am pretty well packed. Just need to pack my shirts & dresses, but they are all picked out and ready to go. And throw in a few bathroom things -- curling irons, combs, brushes, etc. at the last minute!

I took next Thursday & Friday off to get ready!!

If I recall there are two parades. The later one is less crowded. I could be wrong.
I would say at least a half hour prior to the parade. That and Holiday Wishes are just spectacular! If there are two parades,the fireworks will be in between. So during the first parade you can go ride rides etc. We didn't do much in the way of the little dance parties. Rides were practically walk on! We had a harder time getting a great spot for Wishes though. I would have liked a better location. I just hated to "waste" time sitting and waiting when the rides were wide open!
It will snow on Main Street, but otherwise you may wish to watch the parade somewhere else.

This will be my 4th WDW trip as an adult, and I BETTER find time for relaxing by the pool! We still get caught up in the parks and the excitement. Although our mommy and me trip, I did listen to my body alot more and took breaks, and there were some areas of some parks we never saw!

I was told I am allowed to NOT please everyone on this trip - this is what cause me stress!

Looks like you will have great weather, and you do have a great resort location!

I love your top 10 list! As I was scrolling down, I started trying to guess what would be #1. My guess was #4 - Osborne lights. So then I tried to come up with another guess. I should have thought of the Boardwalk and MVMCP. Hello! But I mostly love what your #1 was! And that is a great family picture!

Also love the pics of your boys.....DS11 being cool outside of RNRR and DS8 chillin' by the pool. So precious!

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the top 10 list and it kept you guessing!! We are just so looking forward to getting out of here for a week. You know how much my DH has been working lately, he sure could use the break!That is why quality family time was #1 on the list!!

I think you should make it a game where they have to guess.

Wouldn't it be fun if you could get the front desk involved in it somehow? Like leave an envelope for them with their names at the front desk and then maybe they could call and say there was a pkg for the boys that they needed to pick up?
And they could go down and open them.... it would be so cute.
Of course then you'd have to record it and send it to WDW for them to use as a commercial.................

Hey girlie!!! Congrats on Single Digits tomorrow!!! I may not get to check in tomorrow,crazy Thursdays!!!!! Yep, if you can, go to the 2nd parade~also, I think they 'light the castle' at 5:15? Maybe 5:45? Cant remember,...make sure you ask a CM...if you have your party tix, you can come in with those as early as 4.We like to ride stuff during the first parade. Oh, yeah - Shawna mentioned the castle lighting. They do a really cute show first and in December it was at about 6:15. (While we were eating at CP the first night!) They do that every night, not just during MVMCP at some point. I'd double check with a CM. I really liked seeing it. Very Magical!
We were able to get in the park at 4 p.m. with our party tickets only. That appears to be the common practice, although they will "officially" tell you that the party is not until 7 (I think that's so they can turn you away if they want!). It was jam packed the night we went at 4 (ask Shawna she was there then too!) but it emptied a bit by party time. It was still pretty crowded. But I bet your night will be better since it's earlier in the season and no Pop Warner people are there!

Hey Shawna!! It's almost time!! We've got to get a plan for our meet up soon!

I really want to see the castle light up show this time. They were doing it last year when we were there, but we didn't know it. I thought it was only on party nights. We were there when they did it, but we were behind the castle and didn't even know it.

I have heard they they will let you in at 4:00 with the party tickets! We will probably head to MK around 4 or 5. We won't be using tickets anywhere else that day, so if they happen to not let us in with our party tickets early, we can just use our regular tickets.
