Well hello all live from the Disney Magic! It is Sunday evening night two of our 7 night Western Double Dip cruise. The trip so far has been amazing. I will attempt to catch you up.
Friday
Our trip begins by being given an upgrade on our early morning flight to Orlando. What a way to start the trip!

We enjoy a peaceful flight and since we are functioning on about 3 hours of sleep due to last minute packing and excitement, it is nice to be able to relax a little on the flight.
We arrive right on time and pick up our luggage and the rental car. Decide to go ahead and check in since we are DVC members and got the dining plan for the 1 night. We are staying at Saratoga Springs in a 1 bedroom for the night. We had points left that I didnt roll over in time so we splurged a little. The 1 bedrooms there are beautiful. They have a HUGE Jacuzzi tub and our room was on the 1st floor with our patio facing downtown Disney couldnt have asked for a better location perfect! (Now of course our room wasnt ready this early so I am speaking a little out of turn).
Anyways, we head over to Kona Café our favorite day of arrival lunch and enjoy a nice relaxing lunch. We have
MNSSHP tonight so figure we will finish up here and go see if the room is ready. After a little shopping, we head back to the resort and take a quick nap so we can enjoy the party tonight. After a refreshing nap we head back over to the Poly for dinner (okay, I know you are thinking wow, these people must REALLY like the Polynesian yep we do). We go to one of our favorite restaurants, Ohana and get lucky to get the perfect window seat. DH can gaze right across to see the castle perfect. After a filling dinner, its off to the MK for the party!
We walk in and notice people lining up around main street. I figure we must have missed the first parade and folks are lining up for the second but NO! Here comes the parade PERFECT timing. The park really was not that full so we had a prime spot right at the top of main street and got some good pics and interaction with the cast members. The rest of the night was great we end up watching the parade again on our way out this time it was soooo empty that one of the cast members came up to us and literally POURED candy into a bag I had done some shopping with. Hmmmm can you say extra stuff for the fish extenders?
Then back to the resort to pack and get ready for our cruise!
Saturday
After a delicious breakfast at Boma, we head out driving to the Port (we rented a car). We brought our own GPS but forgot to turn back on the do you want to take toll roads. Needless to say, we took the scenic route

and ended up getting there a bit after we intended but oh well! Check in was very quick, maybe 15 minutes and off we are to board our home for the next 7 days. As we walk across the gangway, the excitement is building after a year, we have finally arrived!!! DH has decided to video tape us entering the ship so just as I am about to board I notice he is MIA. Then I see him going backwards through the line!!! What!

DH you are going the wrong way worse he is looking down a the ground for something uh oh, not a good sign. Next thing I see is security looking at his id and handing him his KTTW card yup, he was so busy videoing he dropped it a long the way. Phew, crisis resolved.
After being announced, clapped for and welcomed, I head straight to Rockin Bar D to try to add our friends to our Palo ressie. DH decides to go see if the room is ready. I got our ressie changed but still no brunch we are on a waiting list darn. Next down and surprise the room is ready a little early!!! It is hard to describe the feeling you get walking into that stateroom it is the best! We have a porthole room and when we walked in we see that our friends have sent us a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I will try to post a pic later.
After settling in, we meet up with our friends and head to Parrot Cay for lunch mmmmm there is nothing like lunch on the Disney Magic!!!
Next, we head back to the rooms for a bit and I have work to do. Unlike all the super organized folks I have all the stuff for my F/E with me but havent put them together. So I spend quite a bit of time finishing those up and getting the gifts ready for my Secret Mickey. I have to say that so far this has been the best trip EVER when it comes to F/E. Everyone has done an amazing job with the thought that went into their gifts. Once I get home, I will post a pic with everything received but I am writing this on Sunday and already have been blessed with SO much stuff and goodies!
The rest of the night is pretty standard, we go to the show and apparently the entertainer that was supposed to be there missed his flight so they brought in another guy. He is a comedic musician pretty good. Looking forward to seeing his adult show Monday night should be funny. After the show and a short stop in the stores, we head on over to dinner and find that the servers we had ( and absolutely love) are back on the Magic. So we talk to the head server and get switched back over to them I have to say, these servers are the best we have ever had it is a year and a half later and they remember details about our preferences, things that happened on the trip, etc. Amazing! To wrap up the night, we go watch the Match your Mate show and get a good laugh. Finally, its back to the room to finish up those fish extender gifts.
Okay, thats it for today stay tuned for our day at Castaway and how we managed to spend 3 ½ hours at Palo!
