Hi, we will be vacationing in Florida for a few days with a rental car. We would like to return it at MCO and then take DME to our Disney resort. Are we allowed to do this, since we would not be flying into the airport? I know we would need to bring our bags, but can we actually schedule the DME ride? Could we just tell them we are arriving on a plane at the approximate time when we plan to get to the airport?
Thanks.

Yes.

You don't need to lie about flight information. Just make the reservation for the day that you need.

There are also places at/near WDW for many car rental companies, which might save you time if you could drop off your car there. There is a sticky thread above that lists these places. I guess it would make a difference how many suitcases you had to lug around.

You might want to consider heading to your resort first, and drop off your bags and the others in your group. Then you can return the car to MCO and take DME back.
Or, you can rent through Alamo/National and return it to the Dolphin. There are other rental companies over in some of the DTD resorts. For instance, Budget is located at the Doubletree. And most will drive you back to your resort.
