Is it possible to get magical express transportation without having a disney resort stay? Do you have to pay? How much? I ask cause DH has talked about doing an early flight into Orlando and then a really late flight out that same day for a quick Disney fix. So is this possible or do you have to find other forms of transportation?

Not to my knowledge. It is a perk for on site guests.

There are Mears shuttles or other shuttle services he can take advantage of for his short visit.

Pretty sure it's a perk for resort guests only. So, yes, you have to have a resort resie.

ME is a perk of staying at a disney world hotel.
you cannot take it unless you have a room reservation.
its a free service but only provided to those who are staying in a disney world hotel.

what i would recommend doing is setting up transportation through mears transportation which is the same company that disney has contracted to run ME.
i've had good experiences with them in the past when wanting to travel from a disney hotel to an offsite theme park.
here is their website:

I would book a car service. That way there are there when you want them to be there, and you don't make any other stops along the way. It is just you.

ME is licensed as a hotel transfer service, not a bus service. That means they can only transport people who have a resort reservation. I'd book a car service or a rental car.
