Magical Express Return and Southwest Participation

PHL/SWA does seem to have a problem with luggage. The last time I flew SWA from PHL to Orlando, my plane was delayed 3 hours due to a bad storm. I knew this was not the airport or the airlines fault so i just made the best of it, however, my feelings changed when I finally arrived in Orlando around 11pm and claimed my luggage. My luggage was soaked,I mean I could ring out my clothes into a puddle of water, apparently it had been most likely left outside the whole 3 hours of our delay. Luckly the only valueable item I lost was sleep, since I had to use the resorts laundry facility that night at 1am to dry my clothes.

Other than price and getting to avoid a crying baby with open seating, the flight attendants do make the flight more enjoyable. My first flight with SW was on superbowl day out of Indy to MCO. I think each of them moonlights as a comedian!. On a plane of mostly colts hats and jerseys, there were three Bears fans. One attendant made an announcement asking the gentleman with the bears hat to see them, as they have a special seat for them in the back of the aircraft i.e. in the lavatory! The rest of the aircraft erupted in applause. Upon arriving at MCO, another one non chalantly got on the pa and welcomed us to Tampa and proceeded to give us gate assignments to other cities. Just for a few seconds they had me!

Does anyone know if Southwest is Participating yet? Is there a web-site were we can find out?:confused3

to my knowledge, they are not.

in my head, the current list is American, Continental, Delta, United / Ted, Jet Blue, Northwest, Alaska and AirTran (piloting through March, non-values only).

the easiest way to find out, as every list I've seen is rarely kept current (especially if you still see Song listed), is to call DME directly at 866-599-0951 and ask, which I think I will right now for kicks.

i think people just confuse that evil misnomer 'participating airline' with being able to use DME at all or the yellow tags when the two are actually kinda separate.

(BTW, I tried calling but the office is closed)
