Magical EBTA 2017

Thank you for the welcome!! My wife and I have had this cruise booked for a while. We've done a Westbound TA, but this is our first Eastbound. This cruise could not have come at a better time for my wife and I. I lost my Dad on April 5th and its been a hard couple of weeks. We have a memorial service on Saturday. He was 92, a WW2 Veteran and a good man. This cruise will be great therapy.

Nice picture. I am sure the EBTA is a good therapy. See you in 17 days. Greetings A&R

For those in the know:

I would like to have some bottled water on board but have no way to buy it since I am flying in and do not have a car when I get to Florida. Should I order it
now from DCL and have them put it in my room?

Thanks for your help:flower1:
We also bring empty bottles (at least 4, sometimes 6 depending on luggage space. 2 are 1 Liter Evian which are a harder, more durable plastic) to refill at the beverage station. We have bought the water package from Disney in the past, but the water on board is excellent, so it is difficult to justify the extra expense of buying the bottled water. Refilling is quick and easy. Works for us!!!

I'm so sorry for your loss and I completely understand. I lost my grandmother 2 days before last year's ebta sailing. She and my grandfather cruised frequently (never made it to DCL, though) and since her traditional cruise indulgence was always ice cream cones. So whenever I had ice cream, I had a nice little salute to grandma. That grandfather is also a WW2 Veteran, btw.

I emailed my TA yesterday and today she said she has my docs and will be mailing them today....Makes me wonder how long she has had them....o_O
(as I bite my nails wondering where they are...):scared: (she is not with Dreams Unlimited)

Last night while battling insomnia, I was (of course!) thinking about our cruise (in just 3 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!). One of my train of thoughts led to the time we sailed (sadly) away from Castaway Cay and noticed a little bird on our veranda. He would hop back and forth, going under the dividers, and occasionally stop to drink from a tiny puddle of water. He also had a blue band on one of his little legs. As we sailed farther and farther away, we realized we were far enough from land that there were no other birds flying around the ship anymore and our new little friend was going to have to stay onboard until we neared land again! So, we fashioned a little bowl of water for him and set out crumbs, which he often and eagerly dined on. A few times, we found him at our veranda door, waiting for us to come back out! Naturally, we named him Castaway. He wasn't at all skittish so we were able to get close enough to get good photos of him and the numbers on his band. He was still onboard when we docked at Port Canaveral, presumably to say goodbye and thank us for our hospitality. ;) When we got home, we researched online and emailed the organization we thought may have tagged the bird to let them know where he was but never heard back from them. We often wonder if he didn't just hop back onboard to continue his world travels. :)

Sounds like a nice plan.

On another group on social media, there is some buzz about possibly moving piers in Copenhagen from Langelinie to Oceankaj on the 27th. Just as a heads up for possible planning.

Go here - click on May 27, then click Disney Magic and in the notes it talks about departing from Oceankaj.

Assuming this is Sunday......What time for breakfast? Is it ladies only or are kids invited?

Don't have any particular preference, anyone who wants to meet others is invited. The main dining room that is opened for breakfast usually has hours like 8:30 - 10. I will check past Navigators. What time suits you? Is 9 good?
Like you are saying it's Sunday, sometimes a CM holds a Sunday non denomination service. So, if meeting on Monday is preferable, I would be fine with that. I am interested in meeting as many of you as I can. The more familiar faces I see on the ship, the happier I am. ( I am not particularly good with names, please understand!)

I have also been to "last sea day luncheon meet" to say goodbye. Most often noon on last sea day.
