Hi My name is Nicole and my husband Lars and daughter Karianne will be on this cruise. We currently live in Norway but I am American. This is our very first Disney cruise and first actual cruise. We are super excited.
We would like to sign up for candy exchange. My husband signed up on FB for the fish extender( or so we think he did) but we would like to be added to the candy exchange too. Our room is 5012.
You only have this one post....I cannot confirm your interest in the Candy Exchange. Can you post some more?

I have sent a conversation to candy exchange participants!

For those in the know:

I would like to have some bottled water on board but have no way to buy it since I am flying in and do not have a car when I get to Florida. Should I order it
now from DCL and have them put it in my room?

Thanks for your help:flower1:

I do not see why you would not order it now. I do not know of any specials on water.

Who is interested in meeting for breakfast in the sit down dining room on the first day at sea?

Meeting for breakfast interest?

You can order a six pack or a twenty four pack of water through "Gifts and Amenities" (My Disney Cruise/Before you go) from the DCL website. I do not recall the exact price of water bottles onboard so don't know if there's a discount. I suspect that it's the same, or a slight (10 cents a bottle) discount. On the other hand...it's waiting for you in your cabin! (where you can put it in the fridge!) So my answer is, sure, why not?

Thanks. The water is a ridiculous amount (like 9.00 for a 6 pack) but it is better than lugging it on board as I will be toting a big old bottle of wine
that I will have paid too much for from the Boardwalk Inn store! Just weeks away now!!

So when should we expect our cruise Docs? I got my newest Magicband yesterday (yes for that one night at WDW!, but it is the MB 2.0!)

We're the opposite... we received our cruise docs 6 days ago (April 13th) but haven't received our MagicBands (and we arrive at WDW 2 nights prior to the cruise). From past cruises, it seems really arbitrary as to when cruise docs arrive... absolutely no rhyme or reason... whether or not you live on the east coast, west coast, or foreign lands. The only thing that consistently factors in is whether or not you use a Travel Agent that receives the docs first and then re-mails them to you. We use Dreams Unlimited, but our docs always come straight to us (love, love love working with Kelsie at DU!!). As for MagicBands, I've been tracking ours and they were mailed one week ago (April 12) from FL and have traveled north, way over and past us, to Illinois, and are now east of us in Pennsylvania! They are definitely taking a round-about tour of the country before landing in our mailbox!!! They're so off-track that USPS Tracking hasn't even given us an expected delivery date! :lmao:

It's so true that water is exorbitantly priced on DCL!! I know that when you buy bottled water onboard, they also tack on an 18% gratuity, which is really ridiculous! They also have a package deal onboard where you get a DCL lunch-size cooler bag in addition to the bottles of water, but they still add the gratuity to that, as well. I just checked, and even if you buy it online ahead of time, it's $9.75 plus tax and gratuity! :crazy2: Overall, I guess it's still cheaper than buying it in an airport at $3 a bottle, which is what I would have to do everytime we fly because I get migraines unpredictably and have to take meds immediately to off-set them (no time to wait for the beverage service onboard!).

We only travel with carry-ons, but are planning to bring four empty water bottles to just re-fill onboard. TSA will allow the empty bottles through (I always pull them out and put them in the bin so they can take a quick peek to validate that they're empty). The ship's water tastes fine and is safe to drink, even from the tap, but we fill the bottles from the drink machine and keep them in the fridge to chill. At the end of the cruise, we just toss two of the empties and keep two to refill at the airport for the flights back home. :thumbsup2

We've gotten cruise documents, but not Magic Bands for pre cruise trip. However, we have gotten the Magic Express luggage tags.

Hi, I flew Norwegian Air round trip to and from NYC a couple of years ago. I hate flying, I highly recommend this airline. I upgraded myself to include all extras. Super. I will be flying home with them after this trip, but from Bergen, as I will be headed to Norway to visit family. As an aside, anyone who has done the EBTA this time of year, can you help me with what kind of temperatures we may experience. I'm having a devil of a time figuring out what to pack. I took the WBTA from Barcelona a few years ago and the weather was warmer. It's been so chilly here in NY I can't think. midgie5

My wife and I have flown Norwegian Air from Orlando to Oslo RT a couple years ago. We did the Premium Cabin and it was wonderful!! We've booked them again to fly from London to Orlando after an extra week in Europe after the cruise. As for the weather, I'm OK with a little bit of cooler weather. Living in Florida, I am NOT looking forward to our hot & humid summer!! :-)

Thank you for the welcome!! My wife and I have had this cruise booked for a while. We've done a Westbound TA, but this is our first Eastbound. This cruise could not have come at a better time for my wife and I. I lost my Dad on April 5th and its been a hard couple of weeks. We have a memorial service on Saturday. He was 92, a WW2 Veteran and a good man. This cruise will be great therapy.

I am so very sorry for your loss. This hits home for us because my wonderful (also WWII vet) father-in-law is 91 years old and beginning to slow down a bit. We know every moment we get to spend with him is to be treasured. He lives 1,540 miles from us, so we try to fly there at least two times a year. Thanks so much for sharing that photo... we can see the special bond the two of you had. :lovestruc Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
