He gave us some too! And we were Shocked! I just asked him if he'd have time, told him we had 3 cabins, and oh my word...went above and beyond. He's definitely talented, very generous, and very 'overused'. And like I said, I just said "If you have time for anything, don't care, do whatever you want" and he just sent some great stuff! "So here's hoping MUCH comes his way!!

And speaking of magnets...been reading on the thread how that ppl are stealing them. Sad huh?

Advice on the Magnet stealing: DON'T put anything you absolutely want to keep on the front of the door. Just use it on the inside. Personalizing does help, but if ppl think its pretty they'll take it. If its something that you don't mind re-homing then put it on the front

Speaking of theft (though I HATE having to say it), I wonder if FE participants are gonna be tying down their FE's? And if so, what do you take to 'cut it off'? Any thoughts towards that one?

Oh no! Don't EVEN asked me that! I'm not sure WHEN he sent them, but I noticed his message late, late last night. He sent us all personalized ones (look like maybe license plates?), and then several individual cabin ones (I think)..ex. one for both my kids, one for my dh and I, one for 12dd, and one for inlaws. Quite generous, when all I asked for was 'whatever he had time for and wanted to do'. I thought he might send me 2 or 3.

This chik was quite surprised (now I just have to figure out how to do it she says laughing hysterically!)!!

Another sweet friend sent me some and I haven't done those either. Still got to find the magnetic paper. But I will!

I may do the same thing this time. I think it was cheaper to do the laminating and tape than to buy the magnet paper, but i did not have a printer back then.

Anyone on here ever done the Parasailing at Castaway Cay? I am really wanting to do it with my DD. I would think the views and pics I could take from up there of the Magic and Castaway Cay would be incredible!

So you just print them up on reg computer paper and take them to OM? I'm sure that'd make me feel a little better...I'm a tad nervous about hurting dh printer.. But I know how to take them to somebody to laminate

No, its a thought, but I don't think I'll ever do it. I hear its amazing though. People talk about it on the main boards quite a bit.

I know there are people who use zipties to keep the FE attached. it seems to work. I'd take a good pair of craft scissors or something similar to cut it off on the last night.

Our FE made it through the last cruise just fine. Maybe it looked too homemade or something. I don't know if we'll bring anything this time to tie it down.

How do you ruin a garden hose

I only know of 1 way to ruin it and you ruin the lawnmower when you do it And no, I don't know this from personal experience, I just people who did it

I tried the magnet sheets in both of my printers. You just have to run one sheet at a time, you put two in they will stick together that can damage the printer. They worked perfectly in the ink jet and the laser printer. The sheets say they are for ink jet, but I read up on using them in the laser printer and the trick is that you can only print one or two sheets. Then let the printer cool down completely. There is no danger using them with ink jet printers. The danger with the laser printer is that the drum gets really hot and if you run too many through, you WILL melt the magnet sheet onto the laser drum.

My sister and I did! It was great! The only issue was that my knees kept nudging my sister in the butt when we were in the air. It wasn't me I promise! It was the wind.

I'll be tying mine down my FE due to my 23dd making it and I really want it as a keepsake! But here's the deal, and I'm not sure how we'll do it. My FE gifts are a good 8 1/2 x 9 so I'm sure they are NOT going to fit in everyone's FE. So I thought about bringing ties and figuring out some way so that they wouldn't 'walk' off, but if ppl don't have 'tie' cutters (fingernail clippers work?) then I'm not sure how to work it. I didn't intend for it to be so big...they just grew and grew and grew... Any ideas?

Shes fine it was over 4 years ago now I've just a fear of little fingers & doors
Thanks for the tip for the magnets I didn't expect to get so it's been a bonus I have a few left from our last cruise that I will be able to use again
