OH doesn't that pic look beautiful. I remember passing by the island the night before St. martin and seeing all of that lit up at night. It was soo cool. Hope we actually get to see it in the daytime this cruise. Still kind of bummed about missing out last time around.

Off to take Onslow for a walk. Will edit first post when I get back. Time to suck up the head cold and get a move on.

Greetings cruisers

Standings have been updated and the scoreboard is thus:

1st Place is TIGGER/POOH4 with 2:bride: and 2 pirate:

2nd place is yours truly Octoberbride03 with 1:bride: and 1 pirate:

3rd Place is MintJulep with 1 pirate:

As stated in the first post game is open to ALL posters. PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED at the first meet and greet on board. If you'd like a prize then get your little fingers typing, cause though I may have brought the game over to the thread I am NOT disqualifying myself from a prize:rotfl2:

And first post is updated with current cruisers and game standings. :wizard:

Just saying hi. Just off the Wonder about 4 hours ago. The Panama Canal was great again. The cruise had it's bumps. You could tell the Wonders crew was not ready for such a long cruise. We did miss the Wonders last stop at Castaway but we overnighted in Aruba instead so that was cool. Honestly I did not care about missing Castaway due to the fact I have been there 8 times before and I don't think it is all that. So now I can focus a little more on this group.

Glad to see you

I tried to catch the passage through the canal but the webcam wasn't working at 1 of the locks so I only got see a few minutes of it. Add to that I wrecked my car, and I was extremely jealous of you being on the cruise. Would Absolutely love to see pictures from your trip when you're ready to share them.

And I'm glad you aren't too bummed about missing Castaway Cay. I've only been once, but me and DH agree that if on 1 of our cruises we can't dock, it won't destroy our trip. Its very nice but its not why we cruise with Disney.

Since I have so few email addresses from here and also because life has been getting in the way, I decided to put it all on a Google spreadsheet. I discovered this handy feature going through other cruise-meet threads, and decided today that it would be great for our group.

OK, wound up just doing it by hand instead of keep trying to upload off my hard drive cause what's on my hard drive never looked the same in google, go figure:confused3 .

Here is the link. If you create an acct you should be able to edit your own info. If it doesn't work just let me know, OR you can always send me your updated info and I'll add it.

So everybody take a look see and make sure I've got you right. :thumbsup2

Hi Everyone! :yay:

I just want to jump into your group here.

I will be sailing with my two kids Cory (DS15) and Courtney (DD13). (At least those are their ages at the time of sailing, which makes me a little sad. They grow up way too fast!)

My mom and stepdad will be traveling with us, but in another cabin.

This is our third DCL cruise, but our first Eastern Caribbean. We are all very much looking forward to the extra sea day. Those are our favorites!

I need to go back and get caught up on this thread, but wanted to say hi first!

Thanks for adding me so quickly, Laura!

I love, love, love the logo and cruise name! Perfect!

I will come back later to get all caught up!

:welcome: aboard. You will love the Eastern. Both St Maarten and St Thomas are beautiful islands. If you have any questions, please ask away. Our kids will be 12 and 10 on this sailing and can't agree with more that they grow up way too quick.

Good morning fellow cruisers. It is that time of the week again. Another week has gone by.
We now have only

weeks to go to the Magic. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Afternoon cruisers

I am back on my every other weekend rotation, after 2 glorious weekends off. It is wicked cold here. Hasn't even hit 30 today here. VERY unusual.

Hope everybody is having a great weekend. I am off to peruse the home made FE gifts thread. That's gonna take me awhile to get through

Hello, anyone with teen girls sailing? I'll have my 15 year old daughter on board. I worry there won't be many high school girls on a Disney cruise, especially during the school year.

HI katems.

We don't have kids, but we've cruised in Oct. before and there will be plenty of teens on the ship. Some districts get a fall break in Oct., other parents home school and use the trip as a unit, and some parents say we're going anyway. You may not find as many as you would during the summer, but your daughter will be able to find friends her own age. She'll have a wonderful time:wizard:

And though we may make it seem like the DISBoards are only people who are do DCL, there are a lot of people who don't visit these boards who will sail with us too.

Funny you you should ask this question. On our last cruise (10/16/10) another DISser (mylittleprincess) shared the same concern. We were on the same flight down to MCO and had concerns that her DD would not meet anyone her age. Well that lasted about an hour on the ship. She met several other young ladies and boys and off she went barely to be seen again. I will say that the October cruises you will a lot fewer children then what you would see on a summer or spring break cruise. Even with this there are still a bunch that I am sure your DD will be fine. I would make sure she attends the teen meet at the Stack (teen club) on the first night. The kids bond that first night so it is important to be there.

Good evening fellow Cruisers!

DH and I have been snowed in for days are hoping we can get back to school tomorrow (we're teachers). All of this snow & freezing cold has made us long for the warmth and fun of our upcoming cruise!:beach:

We were chatting about what kind of excursions we might like to do at St. Maartin/St.Thomas. I know several of you have sailed the Eastern before, so I thought i'd ask your opinions. Which excursions do you recomend and which ones should we pass up?

I know it's kinds early to start thinking of excursions, but i need something new to dream about! pixiedust:

Snowed in for DAYS:scared1:

Oh that's not good. Personally, I think its a perfect time to talk excursions. Wish I could be the voice of experience, but the last cruise went on we did not do any excursions except for in Nassau because we were diverted from St. Thomas.

I definitely am planning on doing excursions this time around though. Not sure whether we are going through DCL or private though. May go private for St. Martins. Can't remember the name I'm thinking of. Will have to look it up tomorrow.

What kind are you interested in?

Page 3?!

This isn't good at all. Gotta bump this back up.

Just popping in to say hi everybody and to please check the spreadsheet link at your earliest convenience. I want to be sure it works for everybody. I know 1 person has had trouble with it I seem to have got it fixed, but please let me know if i didn't. Playing with Google is a bit new to me.
