I hope everyone is staying cool. It is a beautiful sunny 101 degrees here. Wow is it hot. We went to the YMCA pool today. Pretty crowded but the water was cool and refreshing. We're going to cooking here for the rest of this week.

OH goodness, I don't know what the temp is here now:sad2:

Onslow insisted on going for a walk with DH. I fell asleep on the couch after my workout. woke up just a minute or so b4 they got back. 30 minutes of walking a stubborn doggie:lmao: My Dh is a good doggie daddy:rotfl:

I like your plan of cooking out at the Y. We don't belong so we're huddling inside our air conditioned house. Cooking leftover meatloaf in the slow cooker tonight. So we won't make the house hot and we still get to eat.

I hope you and your doggie stayed indoors today. It was 102 degrees hot, blast furnance hot :scared1:. Wow. I am glad our air conditoner worked all day. I could not imagine not having ac today. I hope this weather breaks soon. Everyone stay cool.

Well if you can call working at Target staying indoors then I was there all day. Got in the car a bit before 4pm to see the temp display in our rearview mirror hit 101. We really need a heatwave smilie on this board.

Onslow stayed inside until around about 7 when he snuck out the front door which mommy didn't close well enough:rolleyes: He had daddy watching him the whole time though. Then we took a walk after supper. Tonight's supper was Freschetta pizza. I tell ya though, this heat really takes it out of a person:sad2: Brought home a pack of gatorade to help get through it. Its just been ridiculous. We went from winter to summer here and no let up in sight.

I hear you on the heat! It's been high 90's here and we're not used to that so early in the summer.

In my job, my weekend is Tuesday and Wednesday. I usually spend about half those days at the barn with my horse. Yesterday I stayed in the house all day and today I'm taking the DDs to a friend's pool for the day. It's just too hot to think about being that active in it. And the poor horses are all sweating without even moving. It's not nice to make them work in this heat either. We might stop at the barn on the way back just to hose off the poor boy and put some sunscreen on his nose!

I'm all for warm temps, but give me 75-80 any day. High 90s make me melt!

Another hot, hot, hot one here today. it 98 now and was 85 at 8am:scared1:. Whoever got mother nature mad at us, please refrain and make up with her. We are either under 2 feet of snow or melting in 100 degrees. Hope this breaks soon.

You are not kidding. It is obscene down here with the heat. Just obscene. It was 98 here at 11:40AM!! Onslow insisted on going out right b4 my workout so i took him out. Did he have to pee? NOPE. I told him we were not going for a walk, and 2 trees later at the next door neighbors he agreed, but thought he'd sit his stubborn but in the shade. OH HELL NO!! I picked his but up and we went back inside.

I feel so bad for y'all up there. Our air alert is ORANGEI see yours is RED:eek: I really hope your horse is doing ok in this. I can't imagine what it must be like for him.

On the bright side headed for quick trip to Rehoboth tomorrow. Have to come home Sat. cause some moron scheduled me for my Sun. off, but i really didn't want to cancel the trip. I feel the need to go so we're going.

I hope Onslow is small Maureen! My ex's aunt had a 125 pound Rottweiler who used to do the same thing. When she was done, that was it, she would lay down and there was nothing they could do to get her up. It was pretty hysterical!

Dandy (my horse) was fine today although quite sweaty. They keep the horses in the barn during the day when it's so hot because there's no shade in the pasture. They'll let them out overnight tonight to get some exercise. The girls and I hosed him down and then took him out into a shaded area to graze. He was very happy with that!

When we got home, the girls decided they wanted to have a car wash to earn some money. They made a big sign and I let them practice on my car. They earned $14 total. $10 from their Dad and $2 each from two neighbors who didn't need a car wash but wanted to donate. I felt a little weird about those, but they insisted.

I told them they could put the money away for our cruise. To which they replied, "No, Dad says he can't afford to take us out so we want to take him out for Chinese!"

Fortunately he's a Lhasa Apso mix. So he's about 23lbs right now. Easy for mommy to pick up when she needs to:lmao: I'm glad the horses are good. That is funny about the girls' car wash and taking their dad out. I thought that was great.

Here are some pics of my Onslow. The first 1 is the day we adopted him:cloud9:

This one has him stealing daddy's yarn:rotfl:

OOOOH He's so cute!

We had to put our chocolate lab down last week. :sad1:
I had him for almost 13 years, so it was really hard, but not unexpected. The girls are asking for another dog and I keep saying no. But every time I see a cute one, I think about it. I'm sure we will be getting one before summer is done. It's just too quiet in the house when the girls are at their dad's. That's when I really miss my Hobbes because there's no one to snuggle with on the couch!

Good morning fellow cruisers. It is that time of the week again. Another week has gone by.
We now have only 65 weeks to go to the Magic. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

This thread has really slowed down. We need to pick it up. We are currently in Orlando vacationing. We went to Downtown Disney on Thursday, Blizzard Beach yesterday and going to the Magic Kingdom today. We did hit two Disney Character warehouses here at two outlet malls and picked up several DCL shirts and polos at a discount. :cool1::cool1::cool1:
Everyone have a great day.:banana::banana:

yes we do need to pick it up. Not even a year and half till the cruise. Its time to plan the party:

And I envy you being in FL right now. It is HOTTER up here. Scheduled high for today 103. Tomorrow is 106!!!!

I think the world needs help when you go to Florida to cool down. :confused3 We did MK today. It ws hot but nothing like what you saw. It was not very crowded. I guess the economy is still hitting WDW. There were more Basilians than Americans. Tomorrow we are heading back to Delaware so I hope it cools off for the drive from Philly airport to Delaware. Stay cool everyone.

Its STORMING:banana::banana::banana:

Big fat rain/ lightning and probably thunder( I have my my speech processor off). I sure hope this means bye bye 106 degree days.

Officially it hit 105 here yesterday, today we went to look at sofas and saw the temp in the rearview mirror hit 107:scared1: I've never seen it that high before in my life.

Sorry I haven't been on that much. We are taking the October 30, 2010 Western Cruise and I am neck deep in planning that. I get to book our excursions, Palo and spa ressies at midnight August 1st!

I was getting concerned about St. Thomas after those recent reports of violence there. I am wondering if DCL is going to change the route at all on Eastern as a result....

Still deciding how to spend our 15th wedding anniversary on board. The vow renewal is definitely out due to the cost, so I am thinking just a nice dinner at Palo, etc.
