Octoberbride-

Since you are keeping track for us, I vote that you do it any way you want! Your idea for Basic and then an email list sounds good.

TiggerPooh- Thanks for your countdown! My children love checking it out each week!

Right now I am training for a triathalon for Team in Training, but after that is done I might come over to the WISH board to keep myself going. I have lost a lot, but still have some to go! Encouraging and friendly folks always help!

Hope to start posting more!

Since I've only had 1 cruiser answer I'll the opening post the way it is for now. If y'all decide to change it later just post here.

Has anybody booked rooms at the port for the night b4 yet? I am trying to decide how to get the best bang for our buck outside of Priceline. Neither Dh nor i like priceline. And we don't need the kids suite at CI&S anyway. Trying to decide whether to book the room with a combo of goldpoints and cash or straight cash and use points somewhere else on the way down or back:confused3 We are driving down BTW.

Any thoughts?

I just love hotel shopping:rotfl:

We usually fly in the night before the cruise and stay at the MCO Hyatt. We try to miss the least amount of school we can. Sorry I can not help you with the hotels at port. Good luck with getting a good price.

Maureen,

I've stayed at the Radisson at the Port twice before cruises and have been very happy. The rooms are nice, the pool is beautiful and there are plenty of places to eat within walking distance, which is important for us as we never have a car there!

They have a free shuttle to the port which has been very easy and I've seen mention that you can park your car there during the cruise at no charge.

I haven't started planning yet, but we'll probably be there the night before this cruise!

We haven't discussed where we are staying before the cruise yet. For the cruise this year, I had gotten a pin code for 40% of Deluxes, so we are spending the two nights prior at Animal Kingdom. Depending on the funds next year, we may do the same. However, if the funds aren't there, I would probably stay close to the port.

Oh man! I just got a quote on a Feb Mexican Riviera cruise cause it's kids sail free. I REALLY want to go. I know I shouldn't, but it's a good deal. Especially if I can convince one of my single friends to go with us.

I can just hear my Mom now though..."Oh my God! Don't you ever get tired of Disney? And how many cruises do those kids need to go on in a year?!"

Sigh! Decisions, decisions!

Its not how many cruises "the kids need" Its how many cruises MOM and DAD NEED:lmao:

I may not have kids but that's my total philosophy right there. You need a cruise in Feb. and a cruise in Oct.:thumbsup2

Oh Maureen! That is EXACTLY my thought on the subject. I don't really care of the kids want to go to Mexico. I WANT to go on that cruise, so we're going!

And their Dad never takes them anywhere, so I'll just have to make up for that with twice the vacations. :thumbsup2

Great to see you out there. We need to get this thread moving. Have a fantastic weekend! Pretty hot here and supposed to get a heat wave next week.

We do need to get this thread moving. 68 weeks will go by in a finger snap. It still doesn't seem like almost 2yrs. since I got off the Magic the last time.

Happy Father's Day everyone.

Can't wait to see this once again on embarkation day. Can get enough of it.

I was looking into the prices for renewing our vows on the ship (our anniversary is 10/12) It looks like if you took the most basic package they offered, and got married on the ship and not on Castaway Cay, it would cost about $2,500.00.

So, unless money falls from the sky, I don't think we will be renewing our vows next year!

I am thinking of adding my mother to our reservation and upgrading us to a Cat 4. We are currently in Cat 6. It doesn't look like it would cost too much more to do that. She went on a 4 night Wonder with us last year and she loved it.

Oh boy. I knew it wasn't cheap, but didn't know it would be that high. good thing I never think about renewing vows on board. Of course if i win the lottery then ya never know:rotfl:

It is not cheap but the experience must be one of a kind. Having the Wonder/Magic as background while your on CC. Priceless. Here was a wedding going on back on a 4 day we were on back on 10/30/07.
