Magic in a Winter Wonder World with 1,648 pictures

We have had 1 decent meal at SCC and one not so good meal there. I think this trip we are just gonna bring lunch with us.

WOW. Even Muppets were 30 min wait! It sounds really busy!

Nice pic of Mitch!!!!!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2
This was our first time eating there and I was not impressed. Next time I know to go to ABC or Pizza Planet.
It was crowded! We should of flopped our Epcot and DHS days.
Thanks!!:goodvibes
Hmm...you know your family best--will you miss going to DHS if you do not go on this one trip? I, personally, LOVE  Epcot!! We are planning two days in September and may end up there another night to watch Illuminations.

I am so jealous of your weather!! :sad2: I am so ready for Spring!!

Great to know about Studio Catering Company! Lilian loves Kookie pens for some reason! :confused3 I think I might try to get her one before go down for her treat bags. :)
This is my first trip with out park hoppers so the planning is a little harder. The only thing we will really miss is TSM, but I like the idea of riding Soarin' about 6 times.:cool1:
The day I'm thinking of doing DHS there will be Fantasmic at 9 and EMH until 12. That day the flowers from Festival and Garden will be coming down so I'm hoping it means something for crowds. MK will only be open until 5 that day. We have a few nights planned to watch Illuminations from our balcony.:cloud9:
It is cold here too again. Our high for today was 55.:scared1:
Emily and Amy love them too. We now have all of the fab 5 so when we go to character connection all the characters will be happy.:thumbsup2 I think my park outlet store has Disney Kookie pens. If you want I could send a few your way.
Mitch is soooo cute!!!!! Emily too, of course!
the only time we have ever eaten at DHS we ate at Pizza Planet. I have to agree with Stephanie on weather to skip DHS...my family would want to do the first half of Epcot and DHS in a day if I gave them an option...just for the few thrill rides each offer.

I love the baby clothes!!! and last year was our last year in the cutsie stuff.
:wave2:
Thanks Connie! The 3 of them are definitely keepers. I would like to do add park hoppers so we could DHS for a few hours and go to MK for a day and a half. But then that would be the money for MVMCP or MNSSHP tickets. If we'll be going in January too then PH are out. I miss buying cute little matching pink dresses. I did have the girls wear matching dresses for the party last weekend.
Love your report:banana::banana:
:welcome:

I think I have our raid plan for May.
Wednesday- May 12: Pick the girls up from school at around 2:30. It is late but they'll already be missing 3 days of school. Get to the resort at around 6:15-6:30ish. Walk over to the Beach Club for dinner. For dinner we are going to try to tackle the kitchen sink.:cool1: Nothing says first night in Disney World like ice cream for dinner.:cloud9: We'll go the the BC arcade play a few games and get the pressed penny drawfs that they have at BC. (Thanks all7ofus)
Then we'll watch Illuminations on the Boardwalk and then go back to room, unpack, shower, and fall asleep to top 7 must sees.

Thursday- May 13: This day depends on the weather (learned my lesson last May.) If the weather is nice and barely rainy we'll go to Animal Kingdom. Then when it closes we'll bus to POR, explore, and then take the boat to DTD. Dinner at Earl and shop. I'd like to be back in the room in time for Illuminations.
If the weather is bad and rainy then we'll go to the Magic Kingdom. AM EMH and it closes at 11 with Wishes and Spectro. We'll go back for a rest when the weather gets really bad and I'll probably explore the monorail line resorts too.:thumbsup2

Friday- May 14: Epcot for rope drop. Epcot EMH at night. Lunch at Sunshine Seasons. We'll go back at around 3:30, nap in the room, and have a quick dinner at the Dolphin. Probably a pizza from Peekabos. (used to be Tubby's) Get back to Epcot by 6:30 and the plan is to stay until around 10:30. Probably no Illuminations for us.

Saturday- May 15: The park we didn't do on Thursday.

Sunday- May 16: Either Epcot or DHS. Flower and Garden festival comes down and there is a concert. At DHS there is Fantasmic at 9 and EMH until 12. So it will probably be crowded.

Monday- May 17: Breakfast at either Cape May or Chef Mickey's. Not sure what we'll do before laving at 2.

So what do you think?

I just made 2 ADRs!!:woohoo:
May 17th- Ohana's best friends breakfast- 9:30 AM
and
Cape May at 9:10.
I know, I know 2 ADRs at the same time. I just took them both because I couldn't decide but I will cancel one.
Any opinions on where to eat?

Barbara your plans look great! can't help with the dining choices but what I have heard both are good...so, which characters do you and your girls prefer. Thats how I would choose.

Cape May would just be a short little walk but Ohana we would have to take a bus and then monorail. Of course, I would like to see Donald in his beach gear. Out of the characters at both places they like Minnie the best. Also Cape May's buffet would be nice for my picky eaters. I'll have to look at the menus for both.

Hmm...TSM would be hard to miss but is it really worth not being able to go into another park that day? Do you do DTD or any other nonpark activites? Could you use a day like that to go to DHS in the morning, knock out TSM and continue on with nonpark activities or go to a water park?

55? cold? :lmao: I would LOVE 55 by now ;) It was a whopping 15 degrees today (before the wind chill).

Hmmm...Would you mind sending some Kookie pens? I may have to take you up on that offer :goodvibes:

:woohoo: :woohoo: for making ADRs for May!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Just out of curiosity--how close are you to FSU?

We'll probably do DTD the day we leave. I like the idea of going to a water park. I'm concerned about crowds since this will be the only Fantasmic day. If we do DHS we'll stay until around 3, take the boat back, enjoy the Grotto pool, and then go back for EMH and Fantasmic.
15!!?!?!:scared1: Mitch is in NY now and is supposed to come back tomorrow but probably won't be able to with all the snow.
Sure, no problem. I need to return some shoes at that mall soon anyway. Hopefully they'll still have them. :goodvibes
FSU is far from us. I'm in South Florida- about an hour north of Miami.

Your plan looks really do-able and fun!! Weather may have to dicate some of it, like you say. Touring mono resorts sounds heavenly!

I'm really excited for this trip! I'm hoping I get to explore a lot of resorts this trip. I already have plans for POR, BC, YC, BW, WL (maybe), Poly, GF, and CR.

Thank you thank you thank you!! I would really appreciate it. They are never on sale up here at the regular Disney store and I have not seen them go on sale on the website either. No outlet remotely close to here.

Hopefully Mitch got home safe and sound!! The snow has been crazy around here. I am SO incredibly ready for Spring but unfortunately we have to get through March.

That's fantastic, Barbara!! It'll be especially easier if you plan a meal or two at them! Then you "have to go". ;)

I was hoping to go this weekend but I have a sick child.
Mitch's flight was supposed to be canceled but it did end up taking off. He switched it to this afternoon 12 hours in advance just to be safe. If he didn't he would be stuck there for days.
Me too! I'd like to be walking around Epcot in shorts and sunglasses (no umbrella) looking at all the pretty flowers.:thumbsup2

If I had an ADR at all of those resorts I would never make it into a park.:rotfl2:
We'll have 2 meals at BC and so while there we'd have to check out the YC. Maybe I'll skip CR since I went there recently and go to my WL instead.

After some shopping we went to go get our seats for LMA. It was about 12:30. On the way we stopped to get the kids some frozen yogurt before the show. Right when I was placing my order this man walks away with his ice cream cone it completely falls of the cone. Um, cups for us please.
We stood there for a few minutes before they opened the doors and let people in. Both kids were just getting over a cough before the trip so I wanted seats high up from the smoke.
We sat in the middle, more towards the left and I was view was awesome.

Oh yea, when we were waiting these people who seemed to be in a tallest people in the country convention came and sat right in front of us. Out of all the rows, plenty closer a few rows to the left and right were still open. We all couldn't see at all. One of the men turned around and heard Amy say she can't see. He then said to his friend "That girl can't see, lets move.":thumbsup2
Another 3 members of the group said pretty much all together. One of their exact words were, and I quote. "Tough noodles, I'm not getting up or moving an inch." All of them agreed. We were here first. Our row was full but the convention's had the whole row to themselves and they all sit in front of kids. There were about 7 year olds to the left and another group of them to the right of us. I gave the man the glare and then we all moved up 4 rows. O.K rant over. It wasn't so bad just the heat was getting to me and I forgot my sunglasses in the room. Mommy needed some ice cream.
From our new seats, still good view.

These guys finally came out and I was really excited. Me and Mitch were really looking forward to the show.
Followed by these guys, well not really people, but you get what I mean.

The action started quickly after.

With that the show was over. My family loved it and I would totally recommend seeing it if time allows.
Once down we took a few pictures
DSC01424.jpg

A woman asked me if I wanted to get in. I did.

I then took a picture of her crew.
Where to next?

I'll write a full review for you!:goodvibes
I've never tried Tutto Italia but I've heard great things about it maybe I'll book a ADR there for Just Mitch and I.:confused3;)

I have been reading what seems like a lot of rude people stories--so horrible! Why can people not be nice--you are at Disney afterall!! Great family photo after LMA. My DBIL will love that show :thumbsup2

I hope whichever daughter has been sick is feeling better!!

I have too. Some people just need to tell themselves that they are at the most magical place on Earth and be magical to others.:thumbsup2
Thank you. It's a great show. I know he'll love it!
Emily was the sick one. Her fever was down to a 99.2 and her cough got a lot better today. Hopefully, she'll be back at school tomorrow.:goodvibes

As most of you know I was an art teacher and got laid of last May. Well, after searching and searching for a job I got one. I'll be teaching at a local Art at a local charter school.:yay: I start in April. It is only 3 days a week but I'm going to start after school sessions at the JCC.
Have a good night everyone.
I have to go find out who Jake pops the big question to.:flower3:
