Magic in a Winter Wonder World with 1,648 pictures

Congratulations on the new job! :cool1:
Three days a week sounds like a wonderful set-up.
Thank you!
I had the same choice as my old job. I could work 5 easy days or 3 very busy days. The 3 days works better for me. Sometimes I'll go a 4th day to make copies, work on lesson plans, meetings, etc.
Thoughts and prayers that your DD is well soon.

Congratulations on the new job.
Thank you! Emily is better today and is going to school.:goodvibes

My kids still rave about the LMA! They said it was their hands-down fave in DHS. I don't think it'd be my cup of tea, but I know they sure liked it!

Nice call on the ice cream in cups!! Another disaster averted!

Why don't you think you'll like it? It's really cool and it is interesting to see how everything is done. I would see it in September if you have time.
I could picture ice cream falling everywhere and it wasn't pretty. I wouldn't pull a Kate Gosselin though.

After LMA it was about 1:45. Amy really wanted to do a drawing class (she LOVES them) and Emily and Mitch wanted to go to where ever you go on Star Tours. (I know NADA about star wars.) So we split up Amy and I took a drawing class and Mitch and Emily did stand-by for ST.
Walking to our destination.
Anybody want to take these pups in?

Our wait for the drawing class was 15 minutes. We learned how to draw prince Naveen. Amy loved it and of course wanted to take more all day.

Barbara Congratulations! on landing the job!!!!
that is a great family picture of you guys at LMA! I don't know why people have to be so ugly...they could have offered to switch rows with the children and their families if they did not want to move; how hard would that have been.

Have a great evening!
:wave2:

Thanks Connie! I start at the end of April.
I completely agree. The real world would be a much better place if people could be more kind.
Have a good night.

I guess I've just never been interested in cars or stunts so much. I remember the kids saying it was really loud and smoky, so I figured I wouldn't enjoy it so much. But I'm really willing to give most anything a try. If I do have time after GMR, Animation Studio, One Man's Dream and ToT, I'll probably end up here. Especially on my solo day when I'll have some extra time.

If you sit up high like we did it's not bad at all. Hope you get to do it.:goodvibes

Yay for animation class! Can Amy still draw them today if she was asked?
I think she can. She has the fairies and Mickey and friends drawing books that she likes to draw with. We got them this trip. She loves Art and is good at it.:goodvibes

OKay, Barbara!! Just for you, and YOU ONLY, I will put it on my list of "hope there's time for that too"!

You've convinced me! :lmao:

Isn't it funny how random pictures can just make you feel like you are there? To me, I always associate this area with heat, because on one trip we stood in line holding a sleeping baby Brooklynn and we were all dripping wet from the heat. I think that might have been the hottest I have ever been in WDW, and every time I see this section, I think of that.

He's so cute! Do we get to see your pictures?

Amy loved it and of course wanted to take more all day.

That's what is so great about at Disney World vacation - there is something for everyone. She was enjoying simply sitting there and drawing, while there are some who would never stop running from roller coaster to roller coaster to do that. There's just something for every taste and style, and that's why it's the perfect place for a family or friends group.

Another UK diser here. I came across your report by accident and have just spent several hours reading it all - its really great, your pics are fab. Cant wait to read more

I think of heat too in that area. A few years ago we were watching the Stars and Motor Cars parade on the 4th of July. Whenever I see IASW pictures I always think of the first time I took each girl on it. I have some really nice Disney memories that will last more then a life time.
I couldn't find them. Amy must of taken theme on Emily's camera. I do have the pictures from the next drawing class.
I agree! There is so much to do for every type of personality. It's impossible to get much done if a group never splits up.:goodvibes

:welcome: Thanks for all the kind words.:lovestruc

After the drawing class we met up with the rest of the gang. The game plan was to go use our TSM FPs so we marched over there. When we were walking a green army man friend said that the parade was starting in 15 minutes. I asked if anyone wanted to go see it.
Mitch- "It's too hot to sit outside for a parade."
Amy- "I want to go ride the Rockin' Roller Coaster."
Emily- "I don't"
Me- "Why don't we do this? You two can go ride your ride and me and Emily will do something."
All together- "Fine!"
Emily said that she wanted to go watch the parade too so I asked her what pixar characters did she want to stop by us. She said Toy Story so, we went over by Star Tours to get seats. That area was crowded so we went by the American Idol exit.
CMs from through out the park came to entertain the little ones before the parade reached us.

At the part when everyone had to scream the group next to us screamed with bloody murder like they were getting kidnapped. I though I was going to have to get my ears checked out after.

The parade was o.k. I really miss the Stars and Motor Cars parade. How can Disney have a parade with out Mickey in it? I really hope they bring the old parade back one day.

DHS seems like a day you split up quite a lot--at least everyone seems to be getting to do what they want to do. I never saw the old parade of the current Block Party. What was the old parade like?

I know you said you like the old one better, but I think that parade looks like a ton of fun. Your pics are so cute! Bella is in a big Toy Story phase right now, so it will be perfect for her. Looks like a fun day so far!

It is fun for the little ones to get out there and shake, rattle, and roll with the Block Party Bash characters, but like you, I loved the Stars and Cars Motor Parade. :)
