Magic in a Winter Wonder World with 1,648 pictures

Great photo update! we love TSM!
We are going to try the POP; we really like the POFQ because it is quaint, quiet, and a prettier and cleaner version of New Orleans. Lisa (mickeystoontown) only does the CBR and raves about it. I wanted to try it out but we need two rooms...so we are going to give the POP a try. I need to find the POP thread to see where I should request.

:wave2: Connie
I'm thinking since it is only for 2 nights to just do value. I really do want to try CBR however. I just think I should save it a trip when I have time to actually explore the resort. I've stayed at POFQ before and loved it.
I think it is interesting to watch men watch the green Army guys. Even the ones who won't look at Mickey or Winnie the Pooh or whoever - they all seem to stop and look at the Army men. They are fascinating, no doubt, but I think the men who played with those as boys get an extra kick out of seeing them. We had only one man in our group in October, and I remember him thinking the Army guys were just the coolest things. I noticed the onlookers in your pictures, and there were several men stopped and really watching the Army guys. I just think it's cute.
It is! I think Mitch would of really enjoyed them. The girls didn't know who they were at the time and still enjoyed chasing them!:goodvibes
Yippee!! I was close!!! :yay:That's a pretty funny one. You heard that on the bus, right?

I hope we run into those army guys, too. They sound incredibly funny! :rotfl2:
Yes, we heard it on the bus. They were hilarious. I was trying to find the lamp too but couldn't find him. I just learned that he likes to hang out on top.
That was really sweet of you to help her out! :thumbsup2

Wow, you've trained them well! They got tons of great pictures!

That's great that you can still go! Are any of those resorts new to you? I vote for something new.

:lmao: That's so funny!

How was jury duty? Did you get chosen?

Denise

It shocks me how many people go to Disney world and know nada about it! They know what they need to do to survive!:rotfl2: Totally kidding, dude.:goodvibes
POFQ is the only one that is not new. I just don't think a room at POP will be big enough for us, but is it honestly worth it to splurge almost 100$ if we won't even be in the room hardly?
Yes, I was chosen! (green aliens from TS:lmao:) I had to wake up at 5 in the morning two days. I was stuck in Ft. lauderdale rush hour traffic and onethe way home one day the car broke down.:sad2: So not magical! The second day the main witness didn't show up so they just released the case.It was nothing to serious just someone hit a car. I was scared it would be something really scary like what Mitch had a few months ago. A guy stabbed a lot of people and he was scared to be there!

We went to Magic of Disney Animation via gift shop.

How many hidden Mickeys do you see?
DSC01346.jpg

It was about 10:15 and the gang from UP was due at 10:30. I hadn't really planned to see them since me and Emily saw them in May but the girls wanted to so I said they could go and explore the area and I'll wait in line. There was about 4 parties in front of me. You see this could be a problem. It was about 10:35 and the gang was not there yet. Emily brings her phone with her everywhere but is always on vibrate in her bag! Big help, hugh? Finally our boy scout friends come out and my children are no where to be seen and there is now way I am getting out of this line with about 15 parties behind me.:scared1: I just figured hopefully I'll find them when I get closer to the up characters. I knew they were in there. Now there in only one person in front of me and still not spot of mis nenos. Finally I go up and there they appear out of pixie dust under the rope to meet our Up friends with me.:cool1:

Find your stroller. We were going to go ride the great movie ride next but Mitch called and said he just got on the bus so we met some more friends instead.
Everyone was back since HSM ended. I went to go get a spot on line for the Duck and the I sent the girls off to go meet chip n' dale. (only 3 people were in line) I also told Emily that taking her phone out of her bag and putting the volume on might be a good idea.

It looks the chipmunks were accessorizing.
Coming up next: Who's number one and who is number 90?

Hello Barbara!
Great character interaction! don't you just love the strollers...it took us a little bit to get accustomed to parking our stroller in one place to have it moved by the CM's but I loved how all the strollers were in one place and you could hit all the attractions and not worry about it!

Hey Connie,
The best character interaction comes next! I'm so glad my stroller days are behind me. All the fun memories of having things stolen, having it pour, children wanting out, CMs moving them. One time Emily was 3 and Amy was 2 months and we were at MK. We had lunch at CP and we parker the strollers outside. We came back and both were gone. Turned out one was in Toontown and one was parker at IASW. How did they end up there? No one knows but it was so much fun finding them with a cranky newborn and a sick toddler. Yes, it is nice to just leave them and go do a whole area.

Oh my word!!!! I have been neglecting your TR for some time now. Yall have done so much and looked like yall were having fun doing it!

I have played the stroller game and am happy we no longer do. Even though Cooper is only 3, he is a tough kid and has not used one in over a year.

I love Epcot as well. Sam wants to do a Kim Possible mission this summer.

I look forward to reading more.

I'm all caught up, Great updates!
I love the characters of UP! :lovestruc
Thanks!

I have been neglecting your PTR too! I was just saying the other day how I haven't seen you or read your PTR in a while.
Wow, 3 and no stroller! He is my idol.:rotfl2:
KP missions are fun. Your boys are the perfect age for them!:goodvibes

Emily has a softball tournament next weekend so we can't got to Disney. Good news is......

We are now going in May!
Dates aren't set in stone yet but most def. May 12-17th. Mitch couldn't turn down a 99$ 4 day ticket after all. We'll be crashing at the Dolphin.:woohoo::yay::dance3: We'll be celebrating Our 20th anniversary 2 months early. Mitch's birthday 3 weeks early and Emily's graduation 2 weeks early. So lots to celebrate!:goodvibes

My total pet peeve- CM's moving your stroller to a place that may as well be on the moon!

love the UP characters!

AND congrats on your May trip coming up!! YOu're right- lots to celebrate coming up!

Hooray for a May trip! :cool1:

If Trent ends up moving down there, I may try to get down there for a day or two right at the end of the school year, but it'll be later than your trip. We still have to see what is going on with making up snow days for us.

What a great deal! and lots to celebrate!!!!
you guys are getting to be as bad as our family with all the date changes :rotfl2: I'm still hoping to convince Danny into a bounce back for Dec...but
I really don't think it will happen...need to get one trip completed first I guess
the older the kids get the harder it gets to plan together!
you need a new ticker!

I understand CMs moving them a yard or two but is across the park really necessary. (O.k, maybe I'm exaggerating a little on across the park.)
We'll be sportin' more then one different kind of celebration button this trip.:cool1:

Thank you! One year after Hurricane Wilma we had no school for 2 weeks and we didn't have to make it up. Now though, we have a list of hurricane make up days on the school calendar. :guilty:
I loved living in the Orlando area. We lived right out side which was nice right out side of Mickey Mouse town. I loved in Orlando the first few months and when everyone works at a themepark peoples' IQs aren't the highest.
What a great deal! and lots to celebrate!!!!

I couldn't believe it when I first saw the JC commercial with the ticket deals. We could upgrade to PH for 25$ or waterparks for the same price.

:rotfl: Thanks. Our actual anniversary is the week of the 4th. After what happened when we went the week of our 15th I don't want to experience that kind of 'magic' again.
Love the pics with the Up characters; glad the girls finally showed up! Phew!

Woo Hoo! Can't wait to read about it!!! You ARE going to do a report, right?
Thanks, Denise. I think I might want to use those harnesses for May.:lmao:
Yes, I'll do a report for May. If I ever finish up this one that is. I had to finish my last trip report the night before this trip.:scared1:

HI! :goodvibes I love the UP characters! Doug is too much :lmao:

That is stroller craziness!!!! I really do not like the stroller system...even though I know it is the only way to keep them in line and nice looking.

Your daughters are adorable! I am going to read your TR from the first page now

I already have a question :) I was trying to research the castle lighting performance (with the characters and the fairy godmother that you reported about). I wanted to see the castle light up with the lights! My question is do they only do that during the MVMCP? What about the holiday parade? Thanks SO much!

Hi and :welcome:
I loved the movie and Disney did such a great job on the characters. I agree with the stollers. Thanks for the compliment on my girls.
:rotfl:
We saw the castle lighting show on our first night. Last year it started November 10th (always around the start of MVMCP) it is every night at 6:30 regardless of if there is MVMCP that night. You do not need a wristband to see it. It is so magical! You HAVE to see it!! For the holiday parade for MK they have it during the day the week of Christmas/NYs. During MVMCP they have it twice a night. We wanted to go to MVMCP on this trip but they didn't have it going on during our dates.:headache: I'm hoping we can take a short trip for it in either November or December.
Have fun reading.:goodvibes

I was in line for Donald (about 12 groups in front of me) and I sent the girls of real quick to go see their chipmunk friends. Thankfully, they came back right when the people in front of me was finishing up.:woohoo:
As soon as Amy started handing her book to Donald for him to sign the CM handler takes out his radio and says "Donald,it's for you. It's Daisy she took your credit card and went shopping again!" (my kind of girl) Donald was not happy he stormed off to retrieve the 'phone' and walked a few feet away from his area towards the hat. He starts shaking his head no and jumping up and down. It was so funny!
I had given another CM (There was the PPP, the make my duck mad guy, and this CM) my camera to take pictures since I went up with the kids.
While Donald was on the phone:
Me- Can you take a picture of Donald?
CM- gives me a did you take your crazy pills today look. "Donald?"
Me- Yes, please.
CM- Are you sure?
Me- thinking honestly? "Yea"
CM- Only the PPP can. (he was changing his memory card or something)
Me-:headache::mad:
Donald handed back the phone to the CM and the CM said "Looks like you're going to have to do more autograph sessions, Donald, to pay for your credit card!"
This is what the CM took

DSC01368.jpg

I completely agree!
As soon as we walk away from Donald Mitch walks up to us. Go figure. First stop was the pin shop under the hat where Amy got a pin.
And then we walked.
