Magic Double-dip "SCOOP AWAY THE POUNDS"

Yes, Owen Wilson, and I think the porsche was Bonnie Hunt, if I remember correctly. I really liked Hudson (? the old car?)...was it Paul Newman?? I always liked him better than Robert Redford, anyway. My mom always liked Robert...hmmm...Glad you liked it!

Chances your DH will come on this cruise?? It sounds like your geek and my nerd (label of choice in our house) would get along fine...

(And, not eating cake yesterday was NOT difficult. Didn't even sound good and I was a little annoyed that TWO were purchased, when I nicely mentioned that one was plenty! DH is doing his part to make them disappear:) Such a giver, he is!)

Yes, it was Paul Newman...and yes, now that you mention it - it was Bonnie Hunt!

Ok, I'm going to let the Robert vs. Paul thing go by...

I know what you mean about days where the cake can be brought out and you just do NOT care. That's awesome.

No, DH won't be joining us on the cruise... it's me and sister time - and he'd not (ok hang on - :rolleyes1 ) a big Disney fan. I know I know - but this is a good thing - it's something my sis and I can share ... he's not AGAINST it - just not that interested. Actually he said to me the other night while I was Dis'ing- are you becoming addicted?

Geez - men. :stir: maybe I should stick something in his juice! Just kidding...

Such restraint! Peg is the WORLDS BIGGEST ROBERT REDFORD FAN!

Unfortunately, that was NOT me yesterday. Had my first bites of chocolate cake in a loooooong time. It was a modest portion with a little ice cream and so very yummmy. I belive it will 'hold me over' on the dessert craving arena until my Disneyland trip, where I'm sure I will indulge myself a bit.

Have a great day everyone....time to hit the shower!

It's hard - but you shouldn't deprive yourself, a couple of bites when you want is the best way to go (so they say!)

i fell in love with him during Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid. My first husband reminded me of him - although not as handsome - (blonde - blue eyed) and I did see him turn many a head in his day. Too bad about his inability to get help (anger issues). I have Bob on my screen saver on my laptop (home computer is disney Castaway Cay) work is a beautiful photo of California Coast (ok, I'm flapping....

Oh, Peggy, I'm glad I didn't really express how much I prefer Paul over Robert. And, really, for me, it's just looks...don't know much about either one, so I won't malign the less attractive one:)....I still like my mom, so I guess I can separate crush from reality!

I really liked Ed Harris for awhile, until I saw him on some talk show and he seemed a bit 'out there.' Better to just look pretty and not talk sometimes...I have a friend who was REALLY into Tom Cruise (it was a little intense!). I need to ask her if she still feels the same way...

It's humid and a little thunder-y today and a little cooler. Yesterday about did me in and it was only 101!

Don't get me wrong Paul is a very fine actor, and wonderful husband and good person (from what I've gathered). Just didn't catch my heartbeat - the same way. And FORGET about THE WAY WE WERE!!!! Even old and wrinkly I LOVE THAT MAN!!!

ok, (big sigh) - I know what you mean about them openening their mouth... although Bob is very smart and into saving the planet -

I think some of the big actors really don't have much to say without a script in their hands.

I did Ed Harris - what did he say? Out there? As in whewwwwwwwwwwww whewwwwwwwwwwww? Like seeing ghosts? Or out there as in Open marriage?

I never was into Tom - and even less now - talk about WEIRD!!!

Not really out there as in seeing ghosts or open marriage (both of which would also classify as 'out there' in my book!)...and, I don't really remember what he said, it was just an immediate deflation of infatuation! They're all human, I guess, but it's fun to believe in the image. I never got Tom, either, and I never liked the characters he'd play (spoiled brats, mostly...not very manly in my book), but he started to lose me with Vanilla Sky. He completely lost me with the no woman needs medication to cope with post partum depression thing. And, the I LOVE KATIE thing is not cute...just gross...to me. Ok, enough Tom bashing from me...

Nope, those are sitting on my desk unopened... I'll give em a shot tomorrow maybe!!

Congrats Peggy. I look forward to that day myself.

On one of our trips to get rid of stuff I had DH stop by work so I could weigh in at the meeting. I am down 1.8 this week. After all this moving maybe I will be down even more next week.

I will be shut down tomorrow and hope to be back up by Saturday. I will check back in with you all then.

Keep losing ladies, after all we have a family to create.

Yeah, Dee!!!!! Hope the move goes well!

Adding 2 pounds to Bubba (name by default?) this week (total: 18:))...

Carolyn

I need to get on the scale to see how much I can contribute to our family! But... alias I am in the pants!

I got a comment already this morning! I'm feeling sassy today!

Funny how time re-creates new emotions. I think at some point when I reach my goal I won't be so hard on my body as I was previous to the weight gain - always complaining about my butt (bubble). I look at photos and think - WHAT WAS WRONG WITH ME? I had a JLo butt - before she was born. Hey I was hip before hop and didn't even know it!

ONWARD & DOWNWARD LADIES - good luck with your move Miss Dee - we look forward to hearing all about your progress when you can. YIPEE FOR US!

Carolyn, good job! :cheer2: I updated page one.

Bubba's family is off to a good start 119.2....that would build a nice petite wife for Bubba....or we can just wait and see how big Bubba gets!

My weight has been floating a bit this week, what with a chocolate cake episode earlier and a bit of bbq with a couple of french fries later one....but this am weight was where it was when I last reported. I must be ever deligent through this weekend. I'd like to see some PROGRESS here! ::yes::

ONWARD AND DOWNWARD ALL!

I have been running / riding my Tail off. It is tough though my daughter lost 4 pounds last month and her Ped. told us that she needs to put weight on and I am trying to take it off. I have to make two separate dinners one high in calories and carbs, but still healthy she told me to giver her more snacks and peanut butter. There is a lot of protein in but a lot other things as well. Anyway, and one with low calories and keeping the carbs under control. But we are tring really hard.
This week has been busy with hauling motorcycles around and less than 12 hours of sleep sense last Sunday, because of my crazy brother enlaw getting rid of his brand new Victory 8 Ball.
Hopefully next week will be better but I do have to work in Windsor CT all week so lots of travel time :car: . And I eat when I drive, and a lot less time to run.

OK, you lost me here.....what's a Victory 8 Ball?

Isn't being chained to a chair (car) just a "pissa" when you are trying to get fit? I still haven't gotten myself moving like I should.....how am I ever going to hike around the Mayan ruins....how is that poor dolphin going to 'push' me if I don't get cracking here? OK, I must start using my 'remember the dolphins' slogan more and perhaps not allow a morning visit to the DIS until I've done 30 minutes of movement...........ohhhhhhh, that's so cruel, but it must be done ::yes::

REMEMBER THE DOLPHINS!

Well Mister, I know next to nothing about motorcycles, but that sure is one fine looking machine ::yes::

I'm not getting ANYWHERE near a scale today. Way too many carbs have been consumed over the last three days and I fear that carb bloat will just dishearten me. So I'm doing a two day low carb 'kick start' and then loading up on fruits and veggies after that. And another thing.....I pulled the receipts out of my purse from a week of eating nearly every meal out....OUCH! Could have paid for a cleaning service for that $$$ and I wouldn't have to be doing housework this weekend :scared1:

Have a great weekend everyone....don't overdo with the sun and the fun!

Good luck with the kick start, Jackie! Eating out is fun, but RTD (Remember the Dolphins)....

Devin, thanks for posting the pic of the Victory 8 Ball. I didn't know what it was, either...sounded like an extremely potent adult beverage to me! Is your daughter sick? Or just in need of a calorie boost? Good luck with the double meals...that would be tough to keep up on...

Peggy...as I age, ahem...I think that I am really less critical of my body and it's more a matter of wanting to feel good and be healthy. Looking good would be a fun by-product. (That written...I do like, however, recently fitting into the shorts I bought years ago, without trying on, in a size I "was sure" I could fit into, but couldn't even get up over my "aft!" It does feel good!)

O and D...Bubba's waiting...
