We are DVC members but own at BW and AKV. For the first time since we own we decided to head to Vero Beach the end of next month. It's just hubby and I. We could only get an inn room. I have some questions about the room and the area and I am hoping some of you could help (thanks in advance).

1. We will be renting a car. We are flying into Vero airport. We want to do a minimal shop for snacks, water, coffee and milk and a couple of breakfast items. What grocery stores are nearby?

2. Restaurant recommendations for lunches and dinners off property...

3. Will the room have a keurig coffee maker, toaster, mini fridge, sink? I usually bring my own coffee pods.

4. I will go on the DVC site to take a closer look at resort offerings, but does the resort rent out beach chairs and umbrellas? The beach is my main goal!

5. What attractions are within an hour or so drive from resort?

That's all I can think of at the moment. Appreciate any info you can provide!

Thanks,

Dee

1. The closest grocery we went to was Publix, about 4-5 miles away. If you need just a few things though, CVS is not far. There is not much of anything you can walk to near the VB resort, it's good you have a car unless you just want to crash in your room or the beach the entire time.

2. Our favorite is Marsh Landing in Fellsmere. It's almost a half hour away, but worth the drive. There's a lot of closer places in Sebastian.

3. I forget if there was a Keurig or regular coffee pot in the inn room. But everything else, yes. The inn rooms have everything the studios do. The only difference is they have two regular beds instead of a bed and sofa bed, and they are located in the main building.

4. Yes they do. That's all I know, we never sat on the beach. We like the idea of the beach and looking at it, but we are not much for hanging out on the beach or swimming lol.

5. The National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum - 30 minute drive down the coast. There's a lot of nature preserves nearby. Rent bikes and ride on the jungle trail at least once.

We don't own at VB either, but we've been twice, once in an inn room, and once in a villa. We enjoyed both stays. Hope you have a nice trip!

Thank you. Is the jungle trail accessible from the resort?

It's a quick walk or bike ride from the resort. It's not directly attached to it or running through it. You can actually see it on Google maps because it is technically a road, even though it's not paved.
