You should totally do the 5K with us. We're the "Back of Pack" crew! If we all take our time, run as much as we can, walk when we need to, laugh, and have fun it will be a great time!

Now--I have a tech question. We don't own a video camera but I thought about getting a little pocket one for this cruise. I am looking at the Flips....can anyone tell me if they have one and if so, which version should I get? The biggest thing for me is I won't have a computer to download so I need for it to hold a little bit til I can get home. Or if someone has a better brand, please let me know. Don't want to spend alot because we aren't big videoers or picture takers, but ya know...once in a lifetime, blah blah blah.

Flips are really easy to use. You can check out our YouTube site - check out the U.S. Mission Uganda channel. All but the last Ambassador's message were done with either still or flip cameras.

We don't have the SD models, so find that you can only store about 1-2 hours of video before downloading. If traveling without a computer, this is a problem.

If anyone is interested, DH said he would make himself available on the cruise to show people how to make a quick 30-60 second video of the cruise to send out to friends/family (via email and/or YouTube) on Christmas. If we get enough people interested we can have a quick "class"somewhere on the ship.....

DH would probably be interested after Christmas...

It is so cold where we live that I have been staring at pictures of Guadalupe and Martinique all day. The day we spend on that itty bitty little island off of Guadalupe is going to be amazing. The water is the most beautiful color I've ever seen.

I've added Mdarden and DisneyDash to our FE list as well! The more the merrier! Of course, it's easy to say that before I actually try to pack all of them! Luckily, we drive over, so I don't have to worry about packing.

I have added them too. I hope kids like Silly Bandz, or whatever they are called! Definitely the more the merrier. It will all work out.

My internet was out yesterday (while I was home sick with a cold!) so lots to catch up on today. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Thanks my DW always said I belonged in the "special" pond. I got your PM and updated the spreadsheet to include our information. I then printed out the list and told my family that they will now be able to play Santa.

HP was awesome last night. It was very dark but with just the right amount of levity to lift your spirits every now and then. Can't wait for the finale.

Lisa - sorry to hear it is so cold in Vegas. Very unusual for this time of year. Glad we headed south to Florida. It's been pretty nice here. We actually sat on the beach the other day and hope to get out there today too! Been foggy in the morning the last two days so getting Brittany in was a pain yesterday but she finally got here!

DWTS was great and I loved the results show!

Not positive but I think our cruise director will be Brent. From what I have been able to read on the main thread board it sounds like he will still be on the ship for our cruise.

First, I have a couple of ideas for FE gifts but I not sure about FE etiquette. How many gifts do we leave for each cabin? Do we put our names on the gifts or do we do anonymously? I saw the FE map but do we have a list with names and cabin numbers?

FE gifts are all about the fun and there is no set requirement for them, so what you choose to do is up to you. Some give one gift per cabin, some give a gift for the kids, and some give a gift to each person in the cabin. Again, putting names on them is also up to you. Some put names and/or cabin numbers on the gifts and some do not. So whichever way you want to do it is fine. Melissa(tinkmischief) is the master of the FE list and I believe I saw where she was going to send you a link to the goggle doc.

HMoral - You have my husbands attention! He will be diving solo and loves videography as a hobby. We do not have any underwater equipment so we'll have to talk, especially if you are diving.

I believe I saw our diser military pharmacy supplier had some nice underwater pictures too.
If you guys are diving I'd love some emails or footage after the trip. Maybe we'll be buying more expensive toys after the vaca.

FLIP - we have a flip and Rob loves it. He was trying to make his first home movie from it recently and there was lots of cursing going on. Apparently we need a new computer to work with the HD capacity. Too bad were spending everything on this vaca!

5K - maybe I'll join the caboos 5k, I'm not in shape, but we'll see.

Love the Christmas FE stockings, thinking of leaving our official holder home and using our stockings too.

Thanks for the Flip info--just don't know which one to get. They have an ultra, ultraHD, mino, slide, and certain gigabytes and some have rechargeable batteries and some don't and there are 3 generations now and on and on and on. I'm not techie and hubby can't even turn a computer on (it's not made of wood) so I'm swinging in the wind here. Walmart has one for $99 tomorrow on Black Friday but probably (heck, WON'T) brave that mess.

I guess I will download a French translation app on my iPhone for the trip. I was in the French National Honor Society in high school but that was too many years ago to count. "On va a la plage?" - my one and only phrase remembered, although apropos for this trip!

If any of you iPhone-ers out there also play Words with Friends, I'm
2sugarplums. I'm addicted to this and would love to play you. I randomly typed in "disneycruiser" for a game and there is actually someone with this name!! Sadly, they never made a move
