Hi Kimberly! That was me! I'm not sure about the southern caribbean (although I don't see why it would be different) but on the Med cruise, we just bought the Euros on board at the customer service desk. Keep your receipt because you are able to sell them back at the same rate - no charge- if you don't use them. That was the best part for us. And it's very convenient.

Love the movie choices! Can't wait to see Tron and I would love to see Secretariat again.

I was hoping for Disney's A Christmas Carol, but we rented it this week and I'm not sure we would watch it again. It was well done, but a little too intense for DD.

I was just curious...I have not been able to keep up with all the posts here, but I have seen mention of new people joining the FE group. I say the more the merrier! I did want to ask, though, if everyone is listed on the google document? I currently see 64 cabins. Is that the final count? Also, I still see a couple with no cabin #'s. Are those folks still doing the FE?

I'm not sure if this helps the non-crafty-no-extra-time people (like me) but we bought this stocking at the store Tuesday Morning for $12 and then the kids just used some glitter glue to write our names on it. I know they had many different ones. It is good quality. Has 3 pockets on the front and the main pocket up top. They are also on sale at Steinmart (kinda like a Kohls) if you have one of those. Here's what mine looks like. It's presentable enough for us.

Ohhhh, I love that idea. Too bad I already ordered a Christmas themed FE. Hubby would kill me if I bought something else to use for this cruise.

Hi Kimberly, I was added as the 65th FE person. I don't know if anyone has been added after me. I am really looking forward to participating in the exchange. It will be fun exploring the ship and leaving pressies.

What is the Google document? Does it have all the names and cabin numbers on it?

I am dreaming of those warm Caribbean nights while I am freezing in Las Vegas. Today's temperature in Sin City is 42! This SoCal girl is trying to stay warm

You wouldn't be much warmer IN SoCal today Lisa ... LOL. It's currently 61 in HB and there's a stiff breeze coming in off the ocean.

I'd love to know if they are participating as well. There's a chance that Stephen and I will be bugging out to FL early (he has to start work 4 days before the shuttle launches), so our packing must be completed by Saturday I'd only be flying out one day early (Dec 2), but he's probably flying out this Sunday

We were watching DWTS (Go Kyle!!) when my DW and youngest DD started looking at the posts on the thread and asked me what an FE was. All of a sudden they got all excited and wanted to know if we were doing it. I told them no since I did not think anyone would be interested in getting all the gifts together and handing them out. They then looked at me like I suddenly grew a second head and said that would be one of the best parts of the cruise.

Bottom line, is there anyway I can get access to the FE list so that we can distribute the gifts that they are now planning? Also, we would gladly accept any extras that people have but are bringing some different things for the boys just in case. We are in room 6536.

As I am typing, my DW has now found a Lightning and Mater FE on EBay so I guess we are getting that next.

After nearly 24 years of marriage I guess I was finally due to make a mistake.

Steve, we're late comers to the FE as well. I have put you guys on my list! We are in cabin 2072. It should be a really fun way to explore the ship and get into the Christmas spirit!

Now--I have a tech question. We don't own a video camera but I thought about getting a little pocket one for this cruise. I am looking at the Flips....can anyone tell me if they have one and if so, which version should I get? The biggest thing for me is I won't have a computer to download so I need for it to hold a little bit til I can get home. Or if someone has a better brand, please let me know. Don't want to spend alot because we aren't big videoers or picture takers, but ya know...once in a lifetime, blah blah blah.

Now--I have a tech question. We don't own a video camera but I thought about getting a little pocket one for this cruise. I am looking at the Flips....can anyone tell me if they have one and if so, which version should I get? The biggest thing for me is I won't have a computer to download so I need for it to hold a little bit til I can get home. Or if someone has a better brand, please let me know. My husband teaches underwater videography and he says....
Those types of cameras require a lot of good light. So shots in hallways and dining rooms may be a bit grainy. Several models of the flip type cameras allow for the use of an SD card, so you can store your memories on SD cards until you get to a computer. With that, be sure to buy a name brand Type IV, V, or VI because the cheeper brands and write speed types of less than IV tend to record choppy video. I saw on blackfriday.net that Target will have some HD flip type cameras on sale. I think compass.com has some JVC HD flip type cameras for around $80 regularly $130. Good luck.

I've added Mdarden and DisneyDash to our FE list as well! The more the merrier! Of course, it's easy to say that before I actually try to pack all of them! Luckily, we drive over, so I don't have to worry about packing.

If anyone is interested, DH said he would make himself available on the cruise to show people how to make a quick 30-60 second video of the cruise to send out to friends/family (via email and/or YouTube) on Christmas. If we get enough people interested we can have a quick "class"somewhere on the ship.....
