magic bands question

if you book a trip, get magic bands, and then cancel the trip, but online the magic bands are still listed as "active" (although never been used) - what does that mean?

Long story short, I had a trip planned with my now-ex-husband and during the divorce the magic bands got lost. They are definitely never going to be found, so now what?

Would anyone be able to explain or clarify? If I want to book another trip with my mom would Disney make me use the now-lost magic bands? I'm super confused.

Nope, you get new bands each trip. You can log in and deactivate those old bands.

Log in and deactivate the lost bands. We had to do this on our trip last year as DD lost hers. You will get new bands with any new reservation.
