Magic Bands are live on DME!

another small update...We are 19 days out, and this evening the status of my MB's changed from "Hurry! your order may ship at any moment" to "Your MagicBands are being processed and will ship soon."

I have not received any communication that we are part of the test yet - and IT insisted it was just a mistake they were working on fixing 2 days ago. Until I hear otherwise, I'm assuming we are part of the testing and have booked some FP+ selections.

I think I did not have any communication due to the face I use a TA and they got all the communication. I stumbled upon the magic bands by accident when signing on to the website. Mine also now says "Your MagicBands are being processed and will ship soon." I can no longer make changes. Crossing my fingers. I spent a long time learning ow to adjust FP+ to get them to times that work for my trip Finders are crossed that all works well

Same here. This morning I'm no longer able to make changes to the bands. Says there are "shipping soon" I'm staying at the Contemporary from the 15th through 19th.
 
My magic bands are supposed to ship soon to but the website changed my shipping address to the resort I am staying at. Has this a happened to anybody else?

our status says shipping soon now too...not sure about changes because I don't really care anymore

My question to Disney IT why didn't Disney issue a statement to the news? That would clear up a lot of confusion!

I can no longer make changes to my order either. I'll be at Pop on August 4th. Mine still says shipping to my home address.

shipping to home...do you have a PO box maybe?

I think it is because I am in Canada or I didn't pay attention to the shipping address when I made my order. I looked at my order and it is the bands that I customized so no worries.
 
I know the original plan was that 10 days or more, you can customize and ship to home (although nothing was definitively said about international shipping - certainly in a lot of cases they won't do it), 5-9 days customize and ship to resort, less than 5 days, no customization and "iconic gray" for all (guess who will be buying the coverbands?)

Right now, it seems there may be a 17-day cutoff or something...

Edit: Actually, now that I think of it, once you customize, they probably lock it within a certain amount of time to get them sent, whenever you customize it - they probably don't wait until 10 days.
 
Mine also say shipping soon and I can't make any changes. They are still showing my home address as the shipping address. We arrive to YC on 8/17/13.

For me, I am 25 days out from the part of the trip I could book FP+. Up until yesterday I could change the bands. Today it says they are ready to ship.

I'm surprised they let you select your home address. From the MagicBand & Card - FAQs:
Q. My MagicBand has been shipped. How long should it take to reach me?

A. MagicBand fulfillment and shipping should take about 10 days. However, it could be a few days more or less depending on factors such as holidays, weekends and inclement weather.

If your MagicBands have not arrived and your visit to Walt Disney World Resort is nearing, please contact us.

Don’t worry! If you are eligible and you do not receive your MagicBands before you have to travel to Walt Disney World Resort, you will be provided with MagicBands or cards when you arrive. MagicBand shipping is only available to United States addresses.

MagicBand are currently being tested by a limited number of pre-selected Guests. Due to the nature of the test, we are unable to accommodate requests to participate.
 
That is very interesting. I wonder if they will also change my shipping address to the resort since I am also from Canada? The website sure was set up for a Canadian address, it let me confirm canada, listed the provinces, and was set up for a postal code rather than a zip code. I made all my address changes and confirmations in the magic band area of the website.

Apparently someone decided no international shipping for MagicBands, but failed to tell the ones coding the ordering process. I guess I really shouldn't be surprised and I was going to edit the post to reflect that.
 
Same here, by accident I went in the website to find out that it was my last day to customize my MB, so I did and by the end of the day it was locked, I couldn´t make any changes. I am from Mexico so I wrote my home address for shipping, but no it changed to the hotel address for shipping.

I wrote an e-mail to Disney to find out if my customized MB will be available when I arrive, and where can I pick them up.
 
Hello there, yesterday we managed to get the MDE website to agree to send our magic bands to our UK home address, however when checking on it today it stated that our magic bands have shipped and they have sent them to our Disney resort.
We have not received an email invite to take part in the testing but the MDE website did say that our booking was at a participating resort for the dates included in the testing. It has allowed us to choose 4 FP+ for Mk and 3 FP+ for the other parks for each valid date.
 
Guys! I got this reply from Disney:

"Dear Marco,

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort.

You are correct that Magic Bands are not available for international
shipping due to Customs restrictions so your Magic Bands will be shipped
to your resort. They will be available for you to pick up at the front
desk of your resort when you check in. You will receive the colors that
you customized online.

If you have any additional questions about your participation in our My
Magic+ testing, please contact the phone number that was provided on
your invitation email for assistance.

We'll see you in August!.

I just received and e-mail from Disney Destination stating my Magic band order would be wait at my resort when I arrive. The e-mail did not mention the test. The only other thing it mention is i could go to my disney experience to manage my bands.
 
I got my invite email and ups letter yesterday for my August trip. I ordered my band last night as well as my FP+ selections. This is a solo trip for me, so I went ahead and decided to participate to see how it worked prior to a trip with family. It does give one the option of going in and changing FP+ times on an individual basis. That was cool and I got to change my times to the times that fit my touring style. It even recognized an overlapping ADR that I had. I have some concerns, but I won't borrow trouble! I pulled my FP+ for the rides I normally pull a FP for if anyone wants to figure that into the calculations everyone is making. And it worked on my computer and my app (Android).

I called the number on the e-mail and yes I am part of the test. When I went on to the MDE app and on the web site my magic bands where there for me and I could activate them. My husbands magic band only showed up on his account.
