Magic Bands are live on DME!

Just wondering where everyone is finding magic bands on their reservation. I look up mine but don't see any where about the bands. Very confusing any help would be great. Our trip s in sept.

Wouldn't worry about it unless you get the test email.

In MDE website under my experience there is a 'bands and something I forget what it is at this point' to click on. I think we've figured out it is only showing for people staying in certain resorts for August......

I don't think you can access it if your trip is in Sept. Apparently the test period is most of August. However, it's on the right side of the MDX website. It says "personalize MagicBands".

We are going in October and I am thinking about canceling the trip. I am so stressed about all these changes that I am seriously considering pulling the plug on our trip.

I wouldn't consider canceling. It is unlikely that your trip will be affected that much.

With all due respect, this is a bit extreme. If the bands are in place in October, they will only add to your vacation and the ability to personalize it. If not, there's little effect. If you find yourself stressing over a new upcoming technology, I'd suggest not reading all of these threads. Many people enjoy picking things apart, assuming, etc. before the facts are out and the final product is up and running. That is what you will find here on the boards.

Relax, breathe, smile. You are going to WDW this fall!
 
Guess I should have read all this before I started playing on MDE. Ugg. Saw another thread that alluded to fastpass+ and bands being available and went right over there. Now I have AP will-calls linked. Not only am I now concerned they may be in the netherworld, I also have the extra issue that the purchase was for 5 passes and we will only be using 4 of them for this trip. I have an order in for 4 more 10 day hopping/WPM passes that have not been linked yet. I hope we get more information soon, really don't want to have to deal with this the first day we are there. (My band order also shows as placed) Also separated the tickets to each party in the group and I am concerned we will have issues getting fastpass+, if it happens for us, for the same times. I can access each as they are listed as family members but they aren't together on the same list.

I am right there with you. I just tried to link DH and our youngest DD annual passes and it kept putting them with the wrong name, and only put on one annual pass, as opposed to two that I paid for. My older DD and I have no expiration tickets that are stuck on our old room keys so we can't put those on. I am not even trying to link the AP's again, as you said, I don't want them lost out there in cyberspace!!! We leave in 8 days for FL so we shall see
 
But honestly, why is anyone pressing buttons that may not work?

Especially those here? All I hear about when debating FP v FP+ is how "90% of the guests are not like us" and "generally uninformed" and "we are the commandos". And since its inception there have been BILLIONS of questions surrounding MB.

we all should have known that MB testing is still going on. Heck we even know the dates and resorts of the next round. Why tempt fate and start booking things if you do not fall in that category?

Because it's fun and exciting. To see something new and working on the site is nice. At heart, even with dis members, we are all still excited fans waiting anxiously for our trips.


I will say, however, that there was NOTHING about the process that made me suspicious that it wouldn't work. I was able to customize magicbands for myself, dd and dh plus my parents whose reservation I linked to ours a while ago. No errors, no redirects, took everything the first time, etc.

Well that last bit is what makes it suspicious. :)


They're going to need all the rest for guest recovery when this all goes bad.

I would recommend just not reading the threads. Our trip is October too, and I figure it'll either be active or not. If not, I'll either be selected to test it...or not. Even if I philosophically disagree with the concept and join in discussions, I'm not letting it stress me out about the trip. I will be running 10 miles our second night in town... That's stressful enough. :). Join me in not letting it mess with your head, ok?

I guess I should have said rescheduling our trip until all the kinks are worked out. We have been going to Universal lately because 1) the kids are all about coasters and 2) we stay onsite for express pass. No stress when we go to the darkside. However, I miss Mickey. But I am wondering if the stress is worth the hassle until all the bugs are worked out. That's why I thought about postponing the trip. I guess I will just take deep breaths and see what happens in October.

I have the exact same problem. I called it in last night and was told that they can't help me until I recieve the email to say that I'm part of the test. The CM did say that it was highly likely that I will be part of the test if I was able to customize my MB and book FP+. She said to watch for the email.

I have the exact same problem. I called it in last night and was told that they can't help me until I recieve the email to say that I'm part of the test. The CM did say that it was highly likely that I will be part of the test if I was able to customize my MB and book FP+. She said to watch for the email.

Did you speak with a tech CM or regular reservations? When I called I said fast pass + to the automated computer when asked the nature of my call and was immediately directed to an operator who answered as "Disney tech support". This person told me unless I received an email I am not part of the test. I'm wondering if conflicting info is between CRO and Disney tech?
