Magic bands and split stay

I have a split stay in August. MDE is telling me that they are sending my magic bands for my BW stay and for my AoA stay. Obviously we do not need both sets, especially since 3 of us already have specialty ones that we will probably use anyway. I have customized the colors for all of the first (BW) stay. Should I also customize the second set? There is the option to decline them for the 3 of us who already have the specialty bands. Should I call Disney and tell them we don't need this set? I hate for things to be wasted!

Decline the ones that you don't want in MDE. Decline both sets if you don't want them.

When they initially rolled out the magic bands, they didn't have the option to decline them. They have since put that option in, so you can just decline the ones you don't want and don't have to worry about wasting them.

I know that I can use my magic bands that I already own for my next stay, so I am assuming that I can use my 1st resort stay magic bands for my 2nd stay as well.

The only ones that have the option to decline are the ones with magic bands from previous trips. I will get on there and see what I can figure out though.
