Our crew: DH 38, DW 36 (me), DD 10 and DS 8

We also joined Grandpa (64) and Grandma (60), sister 28 with cabin next to ours. We opted to go cheap room and spend away on everything else. We had rooms 7001 and 7003. Not much to complain about the rooms other than the rocky and rough seas on first two days lead to DD motion sickness that would not let up. Was good that we didn't have a window or the light would have made her headache worse for sure. Was more room than we thought, but tripped around our 6 large suitcases the whole time. We ordered beach buckets from the perfect gift for kids. They loved them and used them both at Blue Lagoon and Castaway Cay. We also had two bags ordered for extended family. We had one for us, too. Was nice to have snacks for later WDW trip to finish out week. The over the door shoe holder was the best tip yet. Wonderful idea - we hang it outside of the door so it can be accessed even while bathroom is occupied. Okay now for some reorganization to the trip report....

Took flight from BWI to Orlando and took the DCL bus to port. No problems there - quick and great. Had two carryons and the kids brought backpacks each to carry teddies, bathing suits and gameboys. Got to terminal by 1115. No problem with check-in. Watched people get pictures with Chip and Dale and Minnie Mouse. Was fun to watch families - some so happy; some so not. Cute kids. Interesting mix of ages and people. We registered kids for lab in terminal and got beepers. Waited for the rest of our group until 1230, but our empty stomachs got the best of us and we boarded without waiting. DD loved to be called onto ship and have an applause. We went to Parrot Cay for first meal. Had buffet and welcome aboard drinks in souvenir glasses. Guests never arrived at table. (Turned out they were sent to Beach Blanket Buffet) Met back at stateroom. Went immediately to pools. Went to get Palo reservations. By 330 all for Weds were taken. Ilana gave us great advice to try for Sunday night because it was least booked and you get more attention - great idea!!! We made Sunday reservations. Hung out at Goofy Pool for good bye party and danced in the heat to all the fun songs. Headed for back of the boat for sailaway 9th floor- no one was out there, so we had plenty of room and seats. Saw dolphins and turtles next to and behind boat. cool. Kids were getting antsy. We went inside to await bag arrival. Daughter starts to complain about being sick around 600. She is usally the cheerleader of the party. We lay her down and do everything we can to get her equalibrium okay. Storm starts and the boat rocks a lot. We decide to send some to go to dinner and let her stay in dark room I will join them at Palo. Right after we order, she calls restaurant. She is feeling better and joins brother in lab. We have a fabulous wonderful meal with all the desserts. We laugh like we are full after a thanksgiving meal. The souffle was amazing, but I was hooked on the cappacino cheesecake. Grandpa loved the tiramisu. They say we can come back anytime for dessert - we take them up on that ofer. We sat on deck for awhile, but headed back to check on kids and go to bed at 1000. Made the mistake of staying up too late to pack the night before. Only had 2 hours sleep.

will continue tonight........

Thanks for the report. I didn't know you could register for the kids club and get pagers in the terminal. Is this new?

They did this in the terminal until 1200. Anyone who came up for paperwork while I was getting mine was directed to wait for registration inside.
