Made hotel ressies last night (free dining mentioned!)

Hey all, my dad made our reservations for September last night! Woooohoooo!!

4 nights at Fort Wilderness Cabins and 3 nights at Grand Floridian concierge! Soooo excited here!!!

Anyway, when talking to the CM my mom asked about the free dining being offered. While I know this is only as good as the CM who said it, she said they are definately offering free dining this year!

However for us, we have FL discount so she said that would be a greater savings than the dining plan even with there being 11 of us for the first 5 days and 13 for the next 3 days. What do you think?

So unless we can't get the FL discount at one of the places we are staying, I guess we won't be doing the dining plan.

Thought I would let you all know!

It would depend on how much of a FL resident discount they will be offering during that time. We have done the free dining the last 2 years and feel like we saved quite a bit, but we stayed in a value resort. It becomes much less cost effective if you go moderate or deluxe where the discounts are generally larger.

Not to rain on every ones parade but Disney has already offered free dining to the UK guests and with the bounce back offer - it is possible this is what the CM was referring to.

Thanks for your input! I think the FL discount will work out to save us more money.

Also, my mom asked specifically about the free dining being offered in September for people booking before June and the CM said that was going to be offered. I know she could be wrong, but I don't think she was talking about another offer.
