Lunar eclipse tonight

Here's mine, about the same as everyone else's. ;)

We stayed up till 3:45am then it got too cloudy to see anything. I got a few good shots. The only lens I have is the 18-105 kit lens, so I could not get to close.

Hats off to the brave souls who went out and made the attempt!

I think I was catching up here that night, and it ended up being close to 2am by the time I finally hit the sack. When I saw how late it was, I toyed with the idea of staying up a little bit longer... then promptly said "heck with it" and went to bed. :teeth:

I'm a bit ashamed that I didn't attempt this... I just figured that my lenses wouldn't be up to scratch, but maybe I should have given it a go...

Here it started about 6:30pm, there were no clouds and it was 26 degrees celsius (70-80 fahrenheit) :rolleyes1

Great photos everyone.

It was a reasonable night in Melbourne...temperatures of mid 60's.
Unfortunately, it was cloudy and we missed out on seeing the eclipse.

There are two lunar eclipses expected for 2011. Hoping for the opportunity to shoot!
