I needed a new set of luggage for my upcoming trip to WDW and found a great deal on a 3 piece (dark blue) set from LL Bean at one of my local stores. When I got the set, I ended up saving close to $70. Right after I purchased the set, I took a closer look at the big piece (the one that would get checked under the plane) and found some scratches & marks on it. That was the only one they had, so they gave me a gift card for the full price of that piece of luggage, so I can purchase the replacement online.

Here's my question. Should I buy the large piece in the same dark blue color as the other 2 carry on pieces, or should I choose mountain red (a burgandy color) to stand out from all of the other navy or black pieces of luggage that will be going around the luggage carousel?

It doesn't matter, there's going to be at least three other suitcases on the carousel that look just like yours. No matter what, you need to put some sort of ribbon, sticker, colored duct tape or SOMETHING on your suitcase so you can notice which is yours in the airport. I had a huge teal rolling duffel bag that I thought was unique. On my last trip to WDW I found out that someone on my flight had the same one, only after I was taking it off the carousel.

I fly with red luggage and don't see very many others on the carousels.

My favorite carryon is LL Bean. It has given me good service for a couple of years now. I had a rolling computer bag but sent it back after one trip because it wouldn't fit under the seats of the tiny planes I often fly. I found one at a yard sale that is a big smaller and does fit as long as I have a window seat.

I agree with Scrapquilter -- mark your bag with something unique, and pick whichever suitecase suits (intended) you.

This is the set I have from LLBean. It has held up very well, and easy to spot! It is the large rolling duffel. I was able to fit 2 weeks worth of clothes for my last trip.
