Lucky #13 (NEW 6/5 PG.15 Goodbye everybody!)

37 MORE DAYS and……I’m so ready to go!! May is like a nonstop roller coaster ride for pure unadulterated PG-13 terror!!!! My work is crazy. Dh’s work is really crazy. Then the kids, Standardized testing, field trips and concert after concert after concert! Plus they are sending home all the decisions we have to make for next year. Next year? I don’t want to think about next year! I want to think about riding the TTA or walking around the lagoon in Epcot after Illuminations is over, slowly, because the bus will be waiting for us….
Please forgive me. This episode of whining is now officially over.
Anyway, I wanted to share a great thread I found with designs for mousekeeper envelopes, you know, the ones you leave the tip for your mousekeeper in? There’s a sweet lady who shared her designs on the creative designs thread.

I work in a bookstore and after every holiday in the card department, they send back the old cards, but just throw away the envelopes. I’ve been collecting them. (They’re also good to send money to school for things and notes to teachers.) I printed out her designs and glue them each to the front of a card. Every time I get paid, I stick a 5 dollar bill in an envelope and seal it up. There’s ten to do, but I’ll be done before we leave. Somehow, it doesn’t hurt as badly to put the 5 in as it would to have to do 50 dollars at one time.
Visit her thread and say hi! She is very kind to share.
Here’s a pic of the whole lot.

Ok, I’ve got Tshirts. I’ve got envelopes. I’ve got my detailed notebook ready to go. What am I gonna do for 37 more days? (Man, am I a whiner today or what?)

Love the mousekeeping envelopes, and bonus that you get the actual envelopes free :) I hear you on the end of the year stuff. My head is simply spinning. Not only are there field trips, testing, field days, etc. But it seems that every night at least two of my kids have something different going on, so DH and I have to split up with the kids and miss half of what's going on :( I can't wait to be in my happy place!

The mousekeeping envelopes are great!!!! I will have to check out her page also. I agree that putting the money off to the side now if less painful than have it go all at once on the trip.

Hey Lynn!! I can't get over how creative you are. Those envelopes are beautiful and very thoughtful I must say. :)

LMAO@Chuck and the hose. :lmao: Oh, and nice to see Chuck posting too by the way. I love the anniversary t-shirt!!

I honestly don't know about Crocs either. They do look odd. Funny thing is I regularly get blisters but never did in Disney World. I wore old leather sandals both times and had no problems. I tell you this though, can you imagine how many pairs of Crocs were sold just by the recommendations on the DIS???!! Amazing how they took off!

Only 36 days to go? That was fast!!! :woohoo: I bet you can't wait!!

Weighing in on the Croc issue...

I got some for my DD but they were a little too big for her but perfect for me. They are, however, bright pink and I feel really dorky wearing them. I wore them around a while and I like them for doing yard work and think they would be great at the pool. Personally, I don't see how they can last a day of touring, although I know so many people love 'em.

Only 19 more days for you. Oh you lucky thing!!! I'm so excited for you. Glad you like the envelopes. They are fun to do.
We haven't had to split up yet, but Dh is on duty alot and I'm going alone to this stuff! Today was field day at Em's school and Jake's at Carowinds. Next week is PACT. Aren't you looking forward to that?:scared1: Is it time to go to WDW yet?

You must live in North Carolina...We moved from Greensboro in 2003. I miss my snow, but I am closer to the mouse:yay:

Hey! Thanks! I don't feel very creative. I just use other people's ideas. ;)
Glad you enjoyed the hose story! It still makes me giggle to think about it. I wish I could get Chuck to post more often. He is so funny.
I think I've given up on the Croc idea. I just don't have time to think about it these days! I'll stick with my true and true tennies!
I thought of you the other night. We were waiting for Jake's concert to start playing with Chuck's PTA. It can show what time it is all over the world. I checked. It was 12:35 AM in Edinburgh. ( I know that's Scotland, but it was the closest one I could find. Myabe London would have been closer.....) I wondered if you were still awake. :goodvibes
Thanks for posting!

Thanks! I'm so tough on shoes. I don't see how they could ever survive!!

Yeah! Another friend from across the pond! Thanks so much for reading! And thanks for the time update! I'm such a geek 'cause I'm always thinking about stuff like that.
A small confession: When I was a little girl, I thought that all people in England lived in castles! Not realistic, but a fun thought anyhow.

Well Deb and I both live in castles don't we Deb! ;) :rotfl2:

Love your slide show, it's so sweet how even though they're growing up your kids still cuddle each other!

I'll bet you all thought I had fallen off of the face of the earth. Well, I was kind of concerned myself. I have had the nastiest stomach virus ever concieved! I couldn't even get out of bed. I'm just starting to feel better. Still really tired. I am so far behind on everyone's trippie's!
Some good things have happened however. We got a great AP rate and now for the same amount of money we are staying at Saratoga Springs in a suite with an extra day added. We are leaving a day early!!!!!!
I am so excited and a little nervous about Saratoga Springs. I love POFQ so much, you know? Will we like SSR as much? I see alot of research in my future! I've also made some ADR changes, but I'll save that for later. I've got catching up to do!!!! :surfweb:

 So sorry to hear about your tummy lurgy! Glad you're feeling better now!

I hope you like SSR - we love it there! Can't remember your exact dates, but we'll be there from June 8 - June 17.

Glad you are feeling better! I was wondering what happened to you!!

So sorry you've been ill glad you're on the road to recovery :) Every one raves about SSR I'm sure you'll love it :thumbsup2

Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well, I was just wondering about you last night while I was updating, thinking to myself, "Where's that crazy lady and her family what washes in their front yard?" ;)

Hope you feel better soon ...

We've only stayed at SSR once so far, but we really liked it. I'm sure you will, too! :thumbsup2
