Home is actually VWL! We LOVE Wilderness Lodge!! But are certainly excited about staying at ALL the DVC properties!

We stayed at WL once (not the villas) and yes, it is a masterpiece of a resort! Welcome Home again!

Sadly, we aren't going this year in December but we are booked for Mardi Gras 2009!!

Any LA DVCers at WDW for June, DW and I are thinking about doing a Welcome Home Wednesday on June 4. We have PPP tix for that night so may be unable.

We usually go a couple of times a year. We went for Mardi Gras, 2008. We are going June 5th - 10th. And we are going again for X-Mas.

Are the Welcome Home Wednesdays worth it for us IYO, we have a 4 year old (almost) and a 1 year old.

We'll be there for our first DVC trip on Wed. June 4th, but I don't know what a Welcome Home Wednesday is.

Originally from St. Bernard. Relocated to Mobile, AL in 2005. Here's the kicker, we moved 10 weeks BEFORE Katrina annhilated our home town. Our families are still in Mandeville, Abita, Destrehan, Baton Rouge, and one still in Chalmette--who will be with us in June (6-13) at WDW.We still love LA and infuse Purple and Gold all over Mobile. There are a lot of LSU fans here in Mobile, so I have hope for this city. Anyway, just wanted to check in with people who know how to live and how to eat!

Just checking in and getting caught up. Been too busy to do that lately.

I was in line at the McDonald's (BR near LSU) over the weekend (?) and the car in front of me had a very interesting Louiana license plate DVC OKW Was that any of you?? It did make me smile

Any of you planning late November, early December trips? Like week after Thanksgiving. I'm toying with the idea of a solo trip, but I haven't made up my mind yet.

DH and I will drive if we are staying at least a week. Drive it down in two days and drive home in one. We've stopped in Tallahassee a couple of times, in Gainesville once (right after putting a thumping on the Gators - how sweet that was !), and Lake City a couple of times. I'm not always a real good car traveler, but it does allow me to bring really yummy stuff to fix - jambalaya, gumbo, red beans and rice, etc etc You get the picture.

We have ADR's at Chef Mickey's for 5:35 pm June 8th. We're wide open early and mid day.
