Lots of Qs - Please help!

Hi

We're off to HRH in August - we're Disney addicts and new to Universal. Hoping someone can help with some questions we have! .....

1) Have heard lots about the cabanas you can hire. Do you hire them all day/how long can you rent them for?

2) We're staying Club level, do we get a separate check-in?

3) Ages ago I found a link to the weekly schedule at HRH, advising of character breakfasts, what day and time games were being played at the pool, that kind of thing, but now I can't find it - can anyone help?! I'm trying to get organised!

4) Dive-in movies - do they just show at the weekend; does everyone just crowd round the pool to watch?

You rent them for the entire day. The cabana is yours from the moment the pool opens to pool closing.

2) We're staying Club level, do we get a separate check-in?

I haven't stayed at HRH, but am assuming it is the same as RPR and PBH - no separate checkin for club. You just check in at the front desk.

The schedule varies. Last time we reserved a cabana, Movie night was on a Friday. We had cabanas 7 & 8 and could comfortably watch the movies from the cabanas. However, the kids took the floats into the pool and watched from the pool. If you don't have a cabana, then yes, everybody gathers around and in the pool to watch.

We love the cabana option! It is so nice to have a place for larger groups to meet. As for the movies, we saw that on our last trip they ended up having unscheduled movies every night. The pool was not crowded for this. The screen was smaller than it was from our previous trip in 2004, and was more difficult to see from our cabana (clear view, just a small screen), but you could see easily from within the pool. FOTL can't be beat, so if you figure in the cost of buying FOTL separately, the price of the HRH might seem more appealing!

My opinion - I will never go to Universal without staying on site! I hate waiting in line!

Oh boy, its been a long day.

I just realized I responded to your post and Beck's Mom's post about whether the HRH hotel was worth it, with my one response!!!!

Either way, maybe my cabana opinions will help!
