Charlie SHOULD'VE put his scuba gear on first...THEN messed with the buttons. DUH. However if he didn't close the door before the explosion, the change in pressure after the grenade went off would've caused the "moon pool" to implode up into the station, flooding it and killing them both.

I was saying that to the TV last night when Charlie went in to play the Beach boys song "Charlie,put on your scuba gear first!!!" He could have gone on the other side of the door and locked it from there and he would have been safe.
After watching the 2 hours of Lost last night, then coming on here to the disboards and talking about it, I had a dream that I was one of the Losties, and we were hiding from a bunch of people with guns and helicopters chasing us and I was going to hide in a volkswagon bus (kind of like the one hurley used to rescue everyone) and Sawyer popped his head in and asked if there was room for him. this show is really getting into my brain!

Another observation I had: Ben didn't seem to be phased by the fact that Locke was alive and came back. Ben shot him and left him for dead in the hole.

I was wondering what ever happened to the "numbers". They were so focused on them in the begining seasons but we haven't heard much about them lately.

yeah they have vanished I guess since the hatch explosion they are irellevant but to have them tied to so much of the start of the show and then nothing....weird

They always put big beards on the people who they want to show have gone crazy. DH and I call it the "Craaaaazy beard". I even said to DH last night "Whoops! He's got a crazy beard!".

Whew!! I think it took me almost as long to read the new posts as it did to watch last nights show!!

My DD13 & I think that the woman & child in the accident could be Claire & Aaron. That would put them 8 years in the future. I looked and looked at her in the bed but couldn't figure it out for sure. What do you think?

We had to TIVO back and watch Hurley saving the day a few times just for the fun of it. What a scene!

The "space time continuum" (sp?) thing has got me wondering, I really do think it is some kind of a loop and times are mixed up.

When Jack was talking about using the "golden pass" to fly every week to Asia I thought he was talking about the fact that he wanted to die in a plane crash.

But after thinking about today, it seems like Jack was hoping that there might be another plane crash and he would end up back on the island with a chance to make things right.

It bothered me that no one was at the funeral. I was thinking that the person who planned and payed for the funeral would be there. Maybe they paid for it secretly, and that's why no one came.

Maybe it was Dharma who paid for the funeral. Maybe the person who died was a treasured employee.... hmmmm......

I immediately thought that too. But I am pretty sure they actually used her name at one point and the name did not sound familiar. I'll have to look that up. I think the dr. Jack was talking to called her by her last name.

(Ijust finished renting the 1st season after getting addicted to this show after Season 3's 4th episode so forgive any stupid comments)

What did Naomi mean when she said, "Charlie's just been rescued" right after he drowned? (And, I hope more of the characters aren't going to be "rescued" the same way.)

I'll add my vote to Locke's body in the casket. Jack went out of guilt for "saving" everyone when all bringing them home did was destroy their lives. I think Kate had to get back to Sawyer and their baby. Jack knew what a huge mistake he made by turning on Naomi's phone.

And while I don't think of the island as pergatory, I do think everyone was allowed to become better people being there - whereas I think of pergatory as PAYING for sins. JMHO

Claire and Aaron being in the car crash??? WOW. I just thought it was Jack being so Dr. "No one-can-do-it like-me I -have-to-have-total-control"

Right and also remember in his apartment he was sitting among many many maps like he was trying to figure out where the island could be located.

I don't think that Charley is dead. I think Desmond is over in the corner and while he is doing what he is doing has another premanition(sp). I think next season will start up there showing Desmond saving Charley once more.

Your right what is up with Mikel always dying and coming back to life. When he was holding the grinade(sp) he showed no fear and also seemed to be having no problem staying under water for all that time.

I think also that since they have killed off so many "others"(that is if they are all really dead, they seem come back to life very easily) that the new people as Ben mentioned are going to be worse and who knows maybe Ben teams up with the losties and helps because after all Ben knows the Island better than anyone.

Ben than could be in the Casket and Jack saying the person in the casket is neither Family or friend but puts his hand on the casket as to say "I should have listened to you".

They made Kate look tranquil or something at the end. She looked great but strange. Also she said something about that he should not have contacted her and that she had to go before "he finds out". Also Jack said that he is do tiered of lying ...wonder what he is talking about.

I don't feel like I have gotten any further than I was in the first show. Each show feels like the first...like were playing a game of 20 questions. Gee Sometimes all this thinking gives me a headach

As for the funeral. When a body is found and is not identified the State pays for that body to be cremated9not placed into a casket) and first they put an obit in the paper so to see if anyone identifies that John Doe. Maybe the "J " is for John Doe. Maybe Jack Identified the person through the News artical and that is why he showed up. The Casket was also a cheep casket not a very nice one. Looked like it was one step above a pine box.

Heres another thought....maybe the J is for Jack and it is him in the casket...who knows with this show.

In last summers LOST Experience online game the revealed what the numbers mean.

According to the 1975 orientation film in the Sri Lanka Video, the Valenzetti Equation "predicts the exact number of years and months until humanity extinguishes itself." In it, Alvar Hanso also states that the radio transmitter on the Island, will "broadcast the core numerical values of the Valenzetti Equation." The numbers, 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42, are explained in the Sri Lanka Video, as the numerical values to the core environmental and human factors of the Valenzetti Equation. Alvar Hanso also states in the video that the purpose of the DHARMA Initiative is to change the numerical values of any one of the core factors in the equation in order to give humanity a chance to survive. However, Thomas Mittelwerk reveals that as of 2006, they have failed to change the values through manipulating the environment, as the equation continues to arrive at the same six numbers. It is unknown how or if the most recent calculation of the equation is automatically reflected in the radio transmissions.

Charlie's definitely dead. There were several interviews with Dom and he pretty much cleared up any confusion or possibility of him coming back

Can anyone seriously see Sawyer and Kate living a suburban life with a Volvo? Not their style, so I don't think they are together in the flash forward. Kate definitely looked afraid her absence will be discovered, which makes me wonder if she is with Henry.

The obit said it was a man named Jo from New York. We know Sawyer isn't from NY and neither is Henry.
