Thanks RadioNate for the picture, I didn't think it was her either. I think Jack just looked at the picture, because he just realized that Desmond had someone special in his life. I think it was Jack feeling sorry for Desmond having been down there for three years separated from whoever that woman was in the picture.

I asked this question before, but no one has answered, does anyone watch ER? Desmond looks a lot like the pompous surgeon that was on ER last night.

I'm confused how anyone could think that Desmond was the husband to be. That's just not possible. Jack interviewed the fiance, as someone mentioned. And don't you think that Desmond would have said something when Jack was telling him about the patient that he couldn't help (at the stadium)?

When did he interview the fiance? I don't remember seeing that at all. No, I don't think Desmond would have said anything. Maybe it was part of a "plan".

Maybe the girl in the photo was on the tail section of the plane and is with the other survivors. That would be interesting.

He interviewed, or spoke to the fiance before the surgery. That's when he told him that Sarah could need life-long full-time care.

When he was talking to the fiance the guy asked if she were to be paralized could she still have sex. I think it was the only thing he asked Jack.

I was rewatching the scene were Desmond is grabbing stuff in a hurry and you see the book and the upside down cross but he doesn't grab those. He grabs what appears to be a stuffed animal (maybe a bunny). Did anyone else notice this?

Since someone commented way back about Katy Segal, I was thinking of the actors from flashbacks that I've recognized. So far I've known Jack's wife from the tv show ED and the Clairol commercials. I also knew Jack's mother from Hill Street Blues - I want to say Veronica something? Locke's "Dad" was from "Emergency".

In thinking about the dramatic way they showed Locke's scar. I'm wondering if we're going to see a similar scar showing at some point from someone on the island. Locke's "Dad" was a rich guy who needed a kidney and found someone who needed a father figure. At this point, do we know that the "Dad" was the recipient? It did seem like they were hinting that he wasn't the real dad. However, I remember a hospital flashback - but I don't remember if they showed the Dad having had surgery.

I thought they had showed Locke and his "Dad" lying in twin beds in the same room right before the surgery and after the surgery when Locke woke up, is when he saw his "Dad" had left. I don't think you actually see them going into the operating room, so I guess it's possible the "Dad" never actually got the surgery, but I get the feeling he did.

It's been a while, but I recall them in the room together prior to surgery. When Locke woke up after surgery he was all alone. Locke thought he was gone for tests or still in surgery and the nurse told him he had already been released. Locke then went to his home.

Ana-Lucia. Jack met her in the airport bar prior to boarding, so she was on the plane. we don't know anything else about her, though.

Can't answer that one. She was down there long enough to get the gun and find out who they were.
