She also found out that Sawyer, Jin, and Michael were on Oceanic flight 815 and there are more survivors.
Okay, she told Michael she didn't seen Walt, right? If we assume she's not lying, does this mean there's another group of "Others" out there that does have him? And if so, how many other groups are there?
Just a guess, but I'd say that Ethan was not from her group. If he was, then she and "Shaft" would have known about Sawyer, Jack, and everyone else. So there HAS to be at least one more group of "others" out there.
One thing, though ... Ethan was coming for Claire and her baby, but the Gorton fisherman and his crew came for Walt. Did they change their minds, or were Ethan and the boat people from different groups as well?

and he said "hey come look at this" since it was filmed in Hawaii and I'm currently obsessed with Hawaii since we're planning a trip next fall. Anyway... it was this whole thing about how every couple of hundred years, the Earth's electromagnetic field reverses and North becomes South and South becomes North. Which got me thinking about Lost. Remember the compass that didn't point north? And the electromagnetic research being done on the island? The Nova show went on to say that when the flip is happening, there can be as many as 8 magnetic poles (there are usually 2, North & South poles). I don't know that this means a darn thing, but I thought I'd throw it out there for everyone to chew on.
