LOST - Season 2 (No spoilers)

You know what bugs me? The food!

It's so clear they just went to the grocery store and slapped Dharma labels on it! One container looked JUST like Mussleman's Natural Applesauce, the plastic containers. And another looked JUST like the juice bottles. Oh well can't fault them for that but it was bugging me, LOL.

You know the creators are so happy that everyone is so hooked on this show. Who sat around and thought of the idea to create all these different websites too?

Did anyone notice that when Desmond went to the pantry, loaded his bag with a few canned goods, and then scurried out of there, well, Jack was kind of following him around when he was 'packing' and when he was in the pantry, and Desmond grabbed stuff and left the pantry, Jack was still looking in the pantry and the camera zoomed in on a photograph Desmond seeming left behind. I am pretty sure that picture was of Desmond and a girl. Did anyone recognize the girl? Did anyone see the picture in the pantry I am talking about? It was a 4x6 or maybe panoramic (because it seemed wider than a normal 4x6 but no higher than a regular 4x6) photograph just sitting on the shelf propped up against a can.

I heard some speculation that it may be Shannon?

My friend found a screen capture from the finale of the blonde in the boat that took Walt. They have her next to Jack's wife and they look similar. Hmmmmmmmm...

I don't think the woman in the picture was Jack's wife. I'm sure if it was he would have asked Desmond about it. I think it was mad to look like his wife just to drive us crazy :teeth:

If you visit the Fuselage site there are lots of screen caps. The girl in the photo w/Desmond has straight dark hair. She looks more like Kate (it's NOT Kate) than Shannon or Jack's wife Sarah.

Hmmm... that's funny, I thought she was blonde. I'll watch it again tonight with my finger on the pause button.

"You're going to watch it again?"
"Yes. Aren't you?" :rotfl:

What site is that? I can't find it.

I am not 100% on this, but there were a few questions about when Locke was paralyzed a few pages back.

In season 1 he was driving the car he was sitting in last night (red VW, right). He had a big fight with his dad and drove off. He had a bad accident.

The scenes last night with Helen happened between Locke meeting his dad/transplant and driving off and wreaking the car.

He "gave" the adult phone operator the name Helen. This was after the accident which caused the paralysis and before "The Walkabout," which was the episode that introduced us to the fact he was in a wheelchair before boarding flight 815.

I think this is how everything happened.

I posted on the other thread that I think Jin speaking English is a flashback to Korea. The benefactor for the dharma group does look a little like Locke's dad.

Did anyone else LOL when Locke exclaimed "We need to watch that again!" I have a feeling the writers were mocking us!!! :rotfl:

That's exactly what I thought!

Watched again tonight. A few things I noticed:
There was a book in Desmond's bed. The title was THE THIRD POLICEMAN and there also appeared to be a bible, which was upside down and all you could see was an upside down cross (major symbolism, or what!). Desmond also appeared to be taking a book or something from the bunk and stuffing it in his backpack while Locke was confronting him. Not sure if it was a book, but why would you take a book if you think the world is about to end?? :confused3

I was also surprised that Sayid didn't back Jack up and say this is totally ridiculous, it must be some kind of mind game experiment, nothing would happen.

I believe the "Helen" Locke talked to on the phone was a sex phone operator. I think it was pretty apparent that's who she was, but then again, who knows.

I'm wondering if Jack thinks the food is poisoned since he tells everyone not to eat it. Maybe that's why Desmond didn't take any food.

I'm also confused as to whether or not the man Locke gave his kidney to was in fact his biological father. When he said you needed a "father figure" I got the sense he wasn't his real father, but then how would he have known Locke's kidney would have been a match. I'm really confused :confused3

When Locke started crying in the car, I almost cried along with him. That was so sad. I still believe Locke is good, but he definitely has something weird going on.

I think Sayid didn't know enough about the situation and didn't have time to figure it out before the end of the count down so just left it between Jack and Locke to sort out.

I also think she is a phone sex operator. I guess it could be the same Helen and that is her job, maybe she ended it with Locke and that is the only way he can talk to her. Maybe she finally realized he would never get over his obsession and broke it off with Locke. He thinks the walk-about will prove to her he's over it and win her back?

I'm thinking Jack thinks this is all a psychological experiment and there is some sort of drug in the food that assists in the delusions.

That "father figure" had me going to. Locke's "father" obviously has money and maybe used connections to obtain information on possible matches for donors, Locke was a match and having never known his parents was easy to con. The man from the Hanso foundation does look like the "father". Something going on with him to need a security guard outside his house at all times.

I too felt so sorry for Locke while he was crying. That man is a jerk whether he's Locke's real father or not. What harm would it do him to be nice to the man that saved his life?

I think "Shaft" as Sawyer called him is Rose's husband. I definitely think these are other crash survivors and not the "Others". Their rough appearance may be due to not as much luggage and supplies survived the crash with them as "our" original survivors.

Just watched the show on tape.
It actually made me fall asleep at the beginning.....
Glad to see more of Hurley and Sayid.
Want to see more of Claire and Charlie

If that was Locke's father in the tape though, don't you think Locke would have recognized him? He was obsessed with following him or at least staking out his house after what the jerk did to him. Locke is sharp, that wouldn't get by him. And knowing how much pain his father caused him, I doubt he could hide a reaction to seeing his father there.

DW Lauri was thinking the man might have something to do with Jack's family. They are focusing so much on Jack's absolute refusal to believe in the concept that it would be so Ironic to find out that the man in the film is related to him. I don't know if Jack's father would be old enough - maybe an uncle or grandfather? One of the links on the Hanso website was a Life Extension project - sounds like something a doctor would be interested in - the building they showed him in.. could that be a hospital?

The movie says it is orientation 3 of 6. Since "the swan" is the 3rd station does that mean there are 6 station? The logo on the back of the shark didn't look quite the same as the swan logo - was the shark from one of the other stations?

I also think she is a phone sex operator. I guess it could be the same Helen and that is her job, maybe she ended it with Locke and that is the only way he can talk to her. Maybe she finally realized he would never get over his obsession and broke it off with Locke. He thinks the walk-about will prove to her he's over it and win her back?

I don't think he name is Helen.
I think Lock just asked the phone sex operator if he could call her Helen because something happened to lock & the real Helen in a accident and that explains the wheelchair. Just a thought. I'm proably wrong. :teeth:

What if the blonde in the boat is one of the PhD candidates who founded the Dharma Initiative.... :scratchin:
