LOST - Last Season (NO SPOILERS)

Ooops! Slowness caused me to double post somehow.... Move on...

Okay, 3 more thoughts today.....

First, did anyone watch Law and Order Monday? I'm wondering if there were a couple nods to Lost or if I am just curently Lost obsessed... First they mentioned a "John Locke school..", which I would have just put down to coincidence. But later someone said very pointedly "What happened happened..." Maybe the writers are Lost fans?

Secondly, I just want to say the music for Lost was truly some of the best storyline music I've ever heard, for movies or TV. It just became a part of the story so perfectly and those touching moments were made heart wrenching and bigger than life thanks in large part to the great music.

And thirdly, I re-watched the finale today, and to the poster here who highly recommended that, you were so right. Watching the sideways world, now knowing what it was all about, was wonderful. I so much more appreciated how well done it was and, whereas the first time I sniffled here and there, this time I was openly sobbing. The remembering and the realizations and the true happiness just got me. Thank heaven no one else was home. And later this morning I teared up thinking about what the time would be for me in a sideways world.

So at first I really liked the finale. Now I think it was really a work of art.

I didn't watch Law & Order so I don't know what context the comment was, but John Locke was a 17th century philosopher - he's considered the father of liberalism. :thumbsup2 So it would make sense if someone talked about the "John Locke school of thought" ... or even a brick and mortar school called John Locke School, because both exist.

I agree with you about the music, though. It was absolutely amazing and added so much to the show. :goodvibes

I know about John Locke, and I'm sure there are schools named after him. It was just curious timing when there was also the "happened" comment.

And I'm still hearing the music in my head. I think I am obsessed. Gotta let go...:goodvibes

Boy this was a great run.

I will miss that show. I was left with a million questions, of course, but it was still one of the best shows on TV. I'm sad Kate and Sawyer never got back together, I always wanted more from them.

Last night's episode stuck with me even today. I found myself thinking about it at work and got choked up all over again.

I love that there weren't definite answers to everything. I thought that would drive me nuts not knowing, but everyone can take away from it their own perspective. It ended just as the show existed, making you think! Oh, and I almost cried at the Sawyer/Juliette reunion. :sad1: It was nice to see a softer side of him every once in a while. I am wondering what the heck I'm going to do tonight without Lost to watch! I don't watch much tv but always made sure to watch this.

Everyone was jumping on the Lost bandwagon this week. Even Sports Illustrated had an article from a Sports Perspective, including a bar graph of sports stats during the six seasons of Lost, A rise and fall chart of four characters, two from Lost and two from the sports world and finally this stat line:

Stephen Marbury from 3/29/05: 4 def. rebounds, 6 of 8 3PT ,15 of 16 FTs, 2 Off. rebounds and 3 fouls over 42 minutes.

I definitely agree!! I have re-watched the finale twice...and each time I seem to tear up more and more...knowing what happens at the end brings so much more emotion/meaning to the sideways timeline and the final happenings on the island.

I am really, really going to miss this show.

Has anyone heard anything about Kate's clothing being different in the final church scene? She had gotten out of the car with Jack wearing the same black strapless dress she wore to the concert...and then when Jack walked into the church for the final scene she had on a silk sleeveless blouse and a skirt?? Was this an error on the production.....or did it have any meanining?

Yeah, I think basically Des was wrong. Though it is a bit ackward...how could the person reminding everyone what was really happening be wrong? I guess he didn't understand what was going on in the purgatory line?

He thought that it didn't matter if they "unplugged" the island, because they would just go to a better place, but Jack was right - it did matter because the island was real and unplugging it would mean all of their friends on the island would die (or even worse if that darkness could get off the island).

Jack's "see you in another life, brother," was one of my favorite lines in the episode.

I noticed that too. I think that may be what she was wearing on the original flight.

Can't wait to get this on dvd in august. One of the best series finales ever made period. I wish I taped it so I can watch it again and again and again.

Thanks! That's what DH told me too! I get it now. :goodvibes

This guy was debunked by ABC. They said he did work for Bad Robot, but was let go over three years ago.

Still makes his take on the explanation just as valid as any of ours.

His trying to say it's an 'official' explanation is very problematical though, that's for sure, as it's repeatedly been said that there won't be one.
