The close captioning said the radio said: There were no survivors of Oceanic flight 815.

But then they may have gotten it wrong. Here is a link to the audio link from another site:

cliphome.comcast.net/~towhateverend/WeAreTheSurvivors.mp3

It really does sound like "We're the survivors of Oceanic flight 815."

Too freaky. Maybe there are more survivors on the island. That would allow them to add more characters next season. And would allow them more people to kill off.

It sounds to me like he is say "we're the survivors" as well.

Remember there is that one lady (I forget her name) who swears her husband is still alive even though he went down with the tail section. She hasn;t seen him, but she still beleives he is alive somewhere out there. I'm thinking there are more survivors left from the tail section on another part of the island.

Did anyone else notice the issue number for this weeks Entertainment Weekly (with the men of Lost on the cover)?? It is #815 :scared1: :scared1:

Are you serious? Is it really in that order or did they futz with the numbers? that is FREAKY.

It really does seem as if the radio transmission was MUCH more clear in that preview during DH lastnight. It's gotta be a clue to SOMETHING

I thought about that too, so I went back and looked at some of my old EW's and they are numbered 814 and 813. 814 had on the cover Jimmy Fallen and Drew Barrymore for the movie Fever Pitch and 813 is the Star Wars collector edition (where there were a bunch of different star wars covers - ours has Darth Maul on it). So it seems to really be in that order. I was pretty feaked out when I saw it.

Edited to correct EW issue numbers 814 and 813 (originally I mis-typed & put 813 and 812)

I saw the commercial this morning and I would swear that there was an emphasis on the "We're" in the reply. Like the replier(?) was disagreeing with Boone?
I just replayed it twice and ITA with this. And it is totally different from what was played in the episode (no static). Although, in the episode it really sounded like "There were no survivors of flight 815", but that response makes no sense.

Wow! I wasn't even watching the previews for this week. Thank god I didn't erase Desperate Housewives yet. This is so cool. If there are more survivors that would be way cool.

I bet the EW issue #815 wasn't a total coincidence. I'm guessing it just happened to be around that # and they purposely waited for the 815 issue to do the cover.

This is what I was thinking too, but you have to admit it is kinda fun. But I also think it had to take a lot of planning and for EW to have some inside information for the issue to also coincide with Boone's death episode.

I think the same too. They are playing with our minds so much with numbers and all that I bet they could have been on much sooner and asked to be on this particular issue.

And by the way anyone catch E's Steamiest Southern actors (I think that's what it was called) Josh Holloway was #36 and Ian Somerhalder was #17. And Josh got to comment on some of the other people on the list.

Don't know if ABC is messing with us or just trying to clear things up, but the transmission in the commercial is NOT what originally aired on the show. I would guess they eliminated the static somewhat to make what was said easier to hear, but some people are reporting that the voice and the emphasis in the commercial is completely different than what originally aired. So maybe they re-shot it altogether to clarify? Or they just want to drive us nuts?
I think the two transmissions are different also. There were other noises in the original transmission. I listened to it over and over to try to understand what it was saying and I came up with "there are/were no survivors..." Someone else on another board posted and said the closed captioning said "there are/were no survivors...".

I also saw last night's commercial and it was very clear (unlike the original) in saying "we are the survivors..." I wonder if that's what the first one was supposed to say, if it's a different transmission, or if they changed it just to mess with us.

On my cable guide it has this description for this Wednesday's show:
Episode: Special. Michael and Locke clash over Walt's upbringing, which leads to violence and a reappearance of the mysterious island beast.

Does anyone remember which show this was?
ETA: Nevermind. This was episode 14 about Michael and Walt.

Is that the Micheal centered episode?

With the beast making another appearance, is that the episode where Boone dreams/hallucinates Shannon being attacked by the beast?

Latest from Spoilerfix (not a spoiler, though)

04/11 - ABC invites new and avid "Lost" viewers to take a fresh look at one of this season's most talked about shows. "Lost: The Journey" promises to explore the series in a way that will bring new viewers up to date -- but which current viewers will also find illuminating. From the back stories of some of the most interesting characters on television to the mysteries of the island, "Lost: The Journey" will provide an insightful glimpse at the lives of some of the survivors of the doomed Oceanic Airlines flight 815. Narrated in a linear fashion and culminating from the pieces of the back stories told over multiple episodes in the series, "Lost: The Journey" focuses on the flashbacks of a core of characters, illustrating who they were and what they were doing before the crash. In addition, the island itself will be explored - culled from events that have taken place - which may reveal some of its secrets. Source: ABC
03/19 - ABC will air a one-hour "introductory guide" to Lost. The special is designed to help new viewers catch up on the series' sometimes dense mythology as well as act as a refresher course for regular fans. The "Lost" special, set to air on Wednesday, April 27 at 8:00/7:00c (the show's regular time period), will focus on the characters of Jack (Matthew Fox), Kate (Evangeline Lilly), Locke (Terry O'Quinn), Sawyer (Josh Holloway) and Charlie (Dominic Monaghan) and retell their respective backstories in a linear fashion. It's unclear however how the clips will be introduced and if the hour will include any "behind-the-scenes"-type footage. Source: TheFutonCritic

It's Michael's flashback episode.

So, it's hard to tell if these will contain any new information...My guess is no? I don't want to watch if it's just a rehash of what we've already seen.

With this show you never know what we will see so it is probably a good idea to watch just in case. They may explain some of what has happened and/or show some thing they haven't before.

Yeah, Tivo will get it and I will watch at my leisure or if I read posts about new info gotten from it.

I have NO idea what you guys are talking about and I've never missed an episode. I thought that they just answered Boone with a "Hello?" I never heard anything else.

I ran my tape of Desperate Housewives and saw the Lost commercial-Boones voice "we are the survivors of Oceanic flight 815" answer "WE are the survivors of flight 815"
that is definitly different from the scene in the show
Boone,"we are survivors of Oceanic flight 815"
answer " there are no survivors of flight 815"

Whats goin on here????

Right before the plane fell to the ground Locke was yelling at Boone (while he was on the radio) and the plane was making a lot of noise. It was very hard to make out what was said on the other end of the transmission. I had taped it so I re-watched it a bunch of times and to me it sounded like the voice on the other end said "there were no survivors of flight 815." That's also what the closed captioning said. Other people thought they heard "no we're the survivors of flight 815".
There is a new promo for the season finale and all of the background noise has been cleaned up. In that promo, it definitely says "we're the survivors...". Now everyone is talking about it (hmmm...wonder if that was the intent) because many people believe the two transmissions are different.
Here's a link to the new promo if anyone hasn't seen it yet :)
