Here is a veryyy longshot of a theory. We have seen that there is a lot of references to some great literature.. whether it is Sawyer reading books or storylines that have hints of things that happened in other books. What if this whole story about plane crash survivors, crazy things happening on a possessed island, etc. is the work in progress of a novelist and we are just watching it being played out in his mind as he writes his book. And the novelist is Rose's husband. After all.. she is sure he is just fine. (cue creepy music.. doo do do do doo do do do..)

I will be MAD if this is correct! I hated the final episode of St. Elsewhere and this would be similar.

Since we don't know what happened to Jack's wife and Jack seems to be so sure that Locke murderedBoone.. do you think that maybe Jack's wife was murdered after they were married?

Plus another connection - Boone ran a Bridal emporium for his Mom.. would that be where Jack's bride got her dress from?? (everyone is connected somehow they say!)

Wow, I like your theories!! I guess the only way we'll find out if the novelist theory could hold a possibility is when the show is finished, over, done with for good. That would be a great ending instead of a Gilligan's Island ending where they're all rescued.

I wrote something like that on another board as a joke. After I wrote all those Stephen King references, I speculated that maybe they were all just characters in a Stephen King book. :rotfl:

Boone, or the actor who plays him, was on Regis and Kelly today and he said to not miss the 2 hour finale. He didn't say way but the look on his face made me think that he will be in the finale. He also said we would get a look at the monster or whatever it is that's on the island.

oh - and yes, he will be in the finale.
From what I've read...everyone gets one last flashback in the finale...I've seen alot of guesses of it being an airport/airplane scene before they crash.

He was also a reoccuring character named Gavin on Angel...he was a real creep on that show!

The guys from Lost are on the cover of the new Entertainment Weekly with profiles of all of them inside. It's an interesting read with a few more "hints" about how the season will end.

Claire was also on Rowell(as one of the aliens) and I'm sure I spotted Sayid in some British movie

What was Boone first name?? I was justing thinking again about what (I think) OB1 Pinobi was saying about names having hidden meanings.

His first name was Boone. Boone Carlisle.

If anyone could check again - I think when the light came on it was night time.

I went back and checked again episode 19 and at the end when Locke was back at the hatch and the light came on, it was nighttime, as seen here:

Did anyone else notice the issue number for this weeks Entertainment Weekly (with the men of Lost on the cover)?? It is #815 :scared1: :scared1:

The voice on the other end was immediate and definite in saying there were no survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Kind of like it had happened some time before (longer than the month or so they've been on the island). I don't know if I'm making sense or not.

This scene was just shown again on a commercial for Lost, and in the commercial, I cleary heard Boone say "We're the survivors of Oceanic flight 815" and the voice on the radio responds with the same phrase "We're the survivors of Oceanic flight 815". Did anyone else see this?? I honestly did not catch what the voice said on the original airing of the episode, but on this commercial I saw tonight it was very clear. :confused3

Still sounds there could be some sort of rip in time, because it did sound like Boone's voice on both ends of the radio. But if Boone is dead, how can he be talking to himself?? Or there really are other survivors on the island and he was talking to one of them?? Or Boone some how isn't dead and is alive in the future to respond to himself on the radio?? As always just more questions and so little answers.

Just wanted to see if anyone else had seen the new commercial and the re-play of that scene.

I saw the commercial this morning and I would swear that there was an emphasis on the "We're" in the reply. Like the replier(?) was disagreeing with Boone?

The close captioning said the radio said: There were no survivors of Oceanic flight 815.

But then they may have gotten it wrong. Here is a link to the audio link from another site:

cliphome.comcast.net/~towhateverend/WeAreTheSurvivors.mp3

It really does sound like "We're the survivors of Oceanic flight 815."

Too freaky. Maybe there are more survivors on the island. That would allow them to add more characters next season. And would allow them more people to kill off.

We saw that commercial last night, too. DH and I both looked at each other...we both thought it replied "WE are the survivors..." Emphasis on WE like someone else said. Gave me the chills!!

Glad to know I wasn't the only one who thought this when seeing the preview last night on ABC. And remember.......NO ONE knows about this, so if it is 'real' and not just something that the island 'did' to keep Boone in the plane, none of our castaways know about it. I suppose they could go back later and say/show that Boone said something to Locke or Jack before he died. :confused3

Don't know if ABC is messing with us or just trying to clear things up, but the transmission in the commercial is NOT what originally aired on the show. I would guess they eliminated the static somewhat to make what was said easier to hear, but some people are reporting that the voice and the emphasis in the commercial is completely different than what originally aired. So maybe they re-shot it altogether to clarify? Or they just want to drive us nuts?
