Just wanted to step in and give my vote for Boone as my favorite. I, for one, really didn't want him off. He had some funny-sarcastic-tickedoff lines, and, let's face it, beautiful eyes. Superficial reasons? Maybe. But no moreso than those who swoon for Sawyer.
But here's my question: does anyone recall Locke's conversation with Charlie when he told him the island would give him what he wanted, but he'd have to give IT something too? I know you do.
So here's my discussion - there's plenty of speculation as to what Locke's "sacrifice" or "betrayal" or whatever you want to call it means and how it fits in with Boone's death.
But what about Shannon? Not to say she caused his injuries (obviously), but I wondered if she had any affect on the outcome. When speaking to Sayid, she said something like, "we're both here until God knows when, and so is Boone."
I knew at that point he definitely wasn't going to make it, but I wonder....is she secretly wishing Boone wasn't in the picture?
