Losing weight for our weddings!! See new thread.

I have had those before... they do bigger pizzas too! hehe

hey I just found this post. It is nice to know that I am not alone in this battle! I started JC in March. So far I have lost 18.5 lbs. I want to weigh 120 by my wedding date of 5-22-2010. I was 180 when I started JC. Thats the heaviest I have ever been. Finally being able to wear some of my smaller clothes has motivated me even more than seeing the scales every week. Congrats to everyone who is trying and succeeding!! Let's keep it up!

Aww Stacey, don't worry about it - Like Victoria said, today's another day so just concentrate on eating good today!

Even though it's allowed, I still feel bad about what I had for lunch! I woke up too late for breakfast, so me and DF had 1/2 baguette (5pts) and 3 thin sausages (5pts) for lunch! Not too bad though, as I still have 12pts left for the day. I'm having a WW ready meal for dinner - spaghetti and meatballs which is 6.5pts, and 2 slices of Light Choices garlic bread for 2pts - 18.5pts. I'll probably have a WW Rich Toffee Bar as a snack after dinner for 1.5pts for 20pts.

I'm joining in.

About two months ago I switched doctors and had blood work done and the results weren't that great. One issue was a thyroid issue, which explains why I gained 50 pounds in 2 years and can not get it off. It also revealed insulin tolerance and high cholesterol. So needless to say my doctor has put me on a strict diet and exercise plan until my insulin balances out then I can start incorporating things like wheat, which I am unable to eat now.

Now for my stats:

I started in Feb at 245 :scared1: my heaviest and I am very angry at myself for letting that happen, when my DFi and I first started dating, almost 7 years ago, I was about 135-140, I would love to see 150 again, I liked that weight. So far I have lost about 27 lbs, I'm down to 219. My August goal would probably be 20 lbs, I want to hit 40 lbs off before my first dress fitting in July and get below 200 by the end of the summer.

I think it would be too stressful to try to get to 150 before my wedding (in Jan) since that means I will need another wedding dress, my dress can only be taken in 3 sizes, I ordered a 20, luckily I did since I tried on a 22 and the ladies at the shop told me to order that size, so we'll see if that becomes an issue. I'm about 10 lbs away from a true 16 so we shall see.

So I call my diet a strict organic diet. I have to eat protein at every meal, I can basically eat any green veggies (no peas, corn, potatoes, or squash), I can have one fruit a day, no beans. Here's my food yesterday:

Breakfast: Glycemic Protein shake with soy milk and blue berries
Snack: Assorted Nuts (walnuts, almonds, pecans)
Lunch: 1/4 chicken breast and chicken tortilla soup (mostly chicken & veggies)
Dinner: 1/2 chicken breast w/ raw carrots
Snack: Strawberries and blueberries (I cheated with a touch of whipped cream)

I did not eat enough yesterday so it's not the best overview, but you get the idea.

I think I am done writing my novel now

Welcome aboard LLLBelle.

You've done great so far!!! Your diet sounds so healthy! :)

I will add you on to all the charts, I'll be making a big one too for total loss. Probably tomorrow now though as I had to go out unexpectedly all day today and I really wanted to get everything up to date!

Lean Cuisine makes pretty good pizza..But when they first came out, they were the size of a paper plate..they shrunk! Leave it to Lean Cuisine to hook you with a pizza then shrink it up when you fall in love!

Oooooh, PIZZAAAA!!!!! Okay, guys, today is your lucky day! I'm going to share one of my biggest secrets for success and #1 super-delicious and super-filling way to kick a pizza craving. It's a recipe I invented and my family really loves it. It's one of my 11 year old son's favorite foods ever! You will sooooo feel like your cheating, but this is really really good stuff!

Pizza Pasta

Ingredients:
2/3 box Ronzoni Healthy Harvest Whole Wheat Penne Pasta (9 oz)
1 can Hunt's No Sugar Added Pasta Sauce
2/3 package Hormel Turkey Pepperoni
2 cups Kraft Italian Shredded Cheese Blend made with 2% milk (or any variety of lowfat mozerella)

How You Make It:
- Preheat oven to 350
- Cook pasta according to instructions on the box
- Mix in pasta sauce with pasta
- Spray a square or rectangle baking dish with Pam
- Place one solid layer of turkey pepperoni on the bottom of the dish (about 28 or 30 pcs)
- Top with 1/2 of the pasta / sauce mixture
- Top with 1/2 of the cheese
- Top with another layer of pepperoni
- Top with remaining pasta / sauce
- Top with remaining cheese
- Top with a few pieces of scattered pepperoni so that it looks like a pizza (about 12 or 13 pcs)
- Bake for about a half hour, until cheese is melted

Nutritional Facts (calculated based on the packages of the ingredients):

1/6th of the recipe contains:
- 310 calories
- 10.2 grams of fat
- 6.5 grams of fiber
- 6.5 POINTS per serving

One thing about this dish is that it is very very filling. You will be stuffed! It's calorie density, based on ingredient labels, is 0.72, which means there are 0.72 calories per gram. Anything below 1 is a really good choice - you will fill full before you've had a chance to eat too many calories.

I also love to add fresh veggies to the pasta and sauce mixture to bulk it up - onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, a few sliced olives. My family doesn't like it that way, so I normally just prepare it the way shown above.

So, I hope some of you are able to try it out and let us know what you think . . . Enjoy!

ooo..can I join? My wedding is December 14th, and I would love to lose at least 24 lbs, but more hoping for 30 lbs. I'm not big on diets so I haven't really been doing anything with that, mainly just trying to stop the major snacking!!! I've mainly been using our treadmill and just recently started using the EA Active, let me tell you that game will make you hurt!!lol! I started in April at 154 lbs.( I'm quite short, so this is too much for me) and would like to get down to 125 lbs. I'd settle on 130 lbs though. So far I've lost 10 lbs, but then we went to Disney for a week and then this past week that I've been home now, I just have been losing all motivation to keep working out. I'm hoping this board can be of some motivation to me!
So recap: Starting weight 154 lbs. Current weight: 144 lbs, Goal Weight (by mid-August): 130 lbs.

Everybody else sounds like they are doing great, and I only hope that I can keep up! Oh, I wanted to add from an earlier conversation about workout videos. I really loved the Slim in 6 videos and so far the EA Active for the Wii really seems like it's going to work. It's much better than Wii fit, in that you don't do one exercise and then have to pick another one. You either set your own routine or take one of their custom ones, and then it goes straight into each exercise, so more like an exercise video. It has you doing normal exercises and then it also adds in things like tennis, basketball, volleyball, inline skating, and dancing to make it a little more fun. The inline skating made me so sore!! Well, sorry this was so long, but I hope it helps someone! Good luck everyone.

Woop woop, I've lost 2 pounds this week!
At a BBQ this afternoon though, so best not go wild to celebrate ;)

Right ladies, I've done the summer chart. :)

Please let me know of any mistakes, and if anyone would like the join in the more the merrier!!

That's so cute! I love it!! You've done a fantastic job!!

Boring lunch for me today - Bagel with cream cheese and some wafer thin turkey, with a chinese chicken noodle cupasoup (4pts)

I want tea already!

My lunch was only 3.5 pints today which I'm really pleased with. :)

I made a huge salad of lettuce, cucumber and red pepper, and then had it with ham and some lush spicy cous cous. :)

Think I might have a bag of walkers baked though, the only trouble with salad is you don't stay full for very long!!

Love the chart, it's awesome :thumbsup2.

Just one correction is my goal is 175 (at least before the wedding) :) Thank you my dear!

Also I'm down 1.2 pounds this week!
