Ok, I picked up the wii active. I am going to look at it tomorrow and hopefully get started. Too late to do it tonight.

Just finished wo #10 - halfway through they say. It was an easy workout - mostly arm workout today. I think I need to get a stonger band - I am always trying to step on it more to make it tighter.

I just noticed that the last workout will be on the day we leave - 6/21 - that sucks because I would love to finish it officially. As I type this I am wondering if I can get up early that Sunday morning and do it.

Two weeks to go - I plan on doing both the treadmill and the Wii on the days the Wii tells me to wo and completely rest on the two rest days of the week. Any other tips for the last ditch effort to meet my goal weight in two weeks? Time to start packing!!

:cool1:Lisa, I just noticed that we are going at the same time. I will be at CSR Sept 17-28 so all of us big losers going at that time need to meet up for a group pic as you suggested. It sounds like a fun time & I would love to meet all of you who have been so supportive.

Yes it would be some much fun. IF anyone is going around Sept 19th - 25th So far 2 of us will be there. If you would like to meet for one pic group picture give a big :thumbsup2!

:thumbsup2I'm in!

I have been skipping some of the rest days (ex: today) if my body feels good and rested. I also do a lot of cardio.
I know there's people who do clleanse/detox. GNC sells a 7 day detox/cleanse kit its $35.oo. Here's the link to the product.

I purchased one to do about a week prior to my vacation.... on advice from my sister who did it prior to a wedding and she said its kinda difficult but showed results she wanted/needed. She told me to follow the pamphlet and review other 7 day or 2 week cleanse to help the process.
She also advised this is not for anyone with underlying HEALTH issues.

Hey Lisa, I had one of these in my hands yesterday at the local CVS but put it back. How much weight did your sister lose doing this? I'm just not sure about the 'process' if you know what I mean. How bad is it really?

I have also been thinking about detox/cleansing thing. Not to be gross but I always feel bloated and constipated. At times I feel I need a good cleansing but the "process" as you say seems scary. Sorry if TMI - but you would think eating healthy (meaning lots of fiber) this would not be an issue.

I did a little bit of 'research' online this afternoon and the process is disgusting. I don't know what's worse ... leaving that stuff inside or having it come out!!

:thumbsup2 I'm in too.... we'll be there 9/16 to 9/23.... we have a few days over-lapping.. lets make some plans.

I'll be walking today... still don't have the Wii Active... where did you purchace it? I'm assuming toys r us or target would have it? I haven't seen it, but then again, I never looked for it..

I know one person who did the detox thing... but I honestly don't think I could do it myself.. It seemed so extreme. I don't know... I really need to tone up and I think the exercise would help me more. And of course not eating ice cream... :lmao:

I'm in pretty good shape now but still need to work on flattening the tummy. I want to be able to wear a two piece in three weeks! When I do jumping jacks my belly still jiggles a bit so I need to tone up. I've been doing some pretty hard core abs and core workouts and just thought maybe the 'cleanse' would help but the process is scary!! Just imagine how much better you must feel afterwards though! What to do ... :confused3

Ok, so I'm getting ready to do day one of the 30 day challenge on wii active! I'm really excited. I have ate well today so I'm really siked!

Ok, done, that running at the very end made me out of breath. LOVED IT! Why didn't they invent this sooner? I burned 154.5 calories. Better than 0. Disney here I come. How possible do you think it would be to lose 30 pounds in 3 months 4 days and not deprive myself of everything?

I LOVE TO EXERCISE! - Can you believe I can say that? I am really getting addicted. I have never ever exercised this long and consistently (about 5 weeks) and I feel great. Just finished wo#11 on the Wii Active and then 45 min on the TM.

I have not lost a pound in TWO weeks though. I keep saying that the scale will catch up to me but everyday it is the same.

Hi Guys,

I have not been here in a while. I have been in kind of a funk lately, not really working out and not eating right. I think I have been a little down since my trip is over and work has been stressful. :sad2: I really have to get back on track and I feel like I am ready to do it.

I do these workouts on FitTV by a woman named Cathe Friedrich. Her workouts are intense but I love them. If you want to check out her website it is www.cathe.com

I just found out that she is going to be in NYC for a free event and I signed up to take a class with her on June 25th. :cheer2: I am going to workout with her and get to meet her. I am so excited. :cool1: I am nervous too because I don't know how well I will do in a class like that. I am used to doing the same 8 workouts over and over that now I know them so I know what to expect. I usually do her cardio workouts and some of her cardio workouts have weights so I do them too but she also has some workouts that are all weights and I never do ALL weights. If that is the type of class it is I don't know how I am going to do.

Anyway...just wanted to share. This is exactly what I need to get me back on track. I feel so much better already.

The scale WILL catch up with you

What's important is that you're working out on a consistent basis, you feel great and I have a feeling your clothes might be fitting a bit looser these days too , keep up the good work! :cheer2:

Good for you for fighting your way out of the funk! On the days that I don't feel like it and have to force myself to work out I end up feeling fantastic afterwards. Exercising releases endorphines into your system that put you on a natural high so to speak.

The class you signed up for sounds like a lot of fun. Don't worry about not being able to keep up. Do the best you can and most importantly have fun doing it!!

KidaniMom, I'm in the same boat as you, I finished workout #10 yesterday & am still stuck at 176.5 which is only 1.5 lbs less that when I started. I think we are building muscle & it weighs more than fat. It's kind of discouraging I know, I lost 30 lbs in 4 months without exercising five years ago. Now I can't seem to lose much at all with exercise,:sad2: oh well at least I feel better even if the scale doesn't reflect it.

Although I know Wii Active is fun and I do sweat (which is a good sign) I wonder if it burns enough calories. That is why I added back the treadmill. According to the TM, if I put in my weight, I can burn 500 calories in 45 min on an interval hill program. With the Wii, even at hard it is never more than 200 (course it is only 25 min or so)

On cool thing - the TM program used to be a challenge for me - some days harder than others. Now I do it after the Wii and I dont get tired at all. I gues that mines I need to step it up a little :upsidedow

She said the worse part is you do just the restroom a lot (you EAT!) and she felt really bloated, gassy, and was well "pooping" more than she ever had (Sorry).

She dropped an easy "7.8lbs" she quoted it cause she said 8 lbs if you wanna be nice about it.

Apparently you just watch your calories and take the vitamins and drinks that are in the box. She said DON'T eat too much fat or grease you'll be very sorry.
So mostly if you're following a good diet you shouldn't be too scared.
