You still need Wii Fit right? We have a Wii but not the Wii Fit. Can't decide if i should spend that much money - course DH would not hesitate to buy something he wants so maybe I should

You do not need wii fit at all. In fact, I think this is better than the fit. It seems to be a harder, sweatier workout. Don't get me wrong I love my fit, but active gives a better workout.

Hi Guys,

I just wanted to say that I just got back from my 8 day trip to the GF. We had a wonderful time and I enjoyed myself food wise being on the basic dining plan. I got on the scale this morning and it said I gained 3 pounds. Not too bad considering all the deserts and snacks I ate. The bad part of the trip was the weather. It rained most of the days so we spent most of the nights in the room. I think if the weather was not so bad we would have been in the parks more at night and then I would have walked off those 3 pounds. :lmao:

I will be posting a trip report with pics...hopefully I will start it later today.

We had a great trip but I am a little sad it is over. :sad1:

Saturday weigh in time -

started 195.6 (i think)

today 188.4
down 2 more lbs - i do wish it was more than 2 lbs I ate great all week but with my husband out of town all week i did not exercise once - next week maybe i'll lose 3.

I am still doing this and for that I am happy. The eating healthy seems to get easier as time goes on.

4 weeks from tomorrow I am on my way.

GOALS - 180 lbs - 2lbs a week will get me there -

(178 was my prebaby weight - 3 babies age - if I can be 178 or close to that I think that is an accomplishment)
Sorry for all the random thoughts - have a good weekend everyone

I have been working with my trainer all week. I feel amazing and somehow think I look better too, though that's probably a mentality thing. I stepped on the scale this morning thinking I would be down a pound or two. My scale decided to tell me I was about 10 pounds heavier than when I started. I laughed. Silly Walmart 5 dollar scale, you lie to me!! It's a good thing I didn't take that literally, I'd be on the verge of quitting.

I've been eating amazingly well this week (which really isn't that hard because I LOOOOVE healthy foods, but I also LOOOOOOOOOOOVE cookies and candy) and do believe that without all the sugar and processed materials not to mention grease of any kind, I feel less slumpish. I did eat some fries today with my chicken sandwhich. But in my defense, I walked around Chicago from 10:30 this morning until 6:30 this evening, only breaking for about an hour total. I have the blisters on the balls of my feet and the sleeping child to prove it!

And now, it's time to sleep! Hope everybody has a successful holiday weekend!

Hello,
I am on a new life plan. I am a diabetic. For eight years I was in denial.
I am no longer in denial... a series of events brought me here. I have for the first time in 8 years gotten my blood sugars under 100. I am managing my diabetes it is no longer managing me. I am following weight watchers and it is working pretty well. The pounds are trying to stay but little by little I know they will go. I had surgery 6 weeks ago on my neck. The doctor hasn't released me to do too much but I can walk and I do every day I am feeling good. I have lots to lose but so much to gain. I am glad this thread is out here. I will be checking in frequently.

Good news, sort of, I got on the scale this morning & weighed 178.5. I guess I'll take a .5 weight gain over a 3.5. My weight fluctuates so much it's crazy, I know it's not my scale because I have 2 scales, one normal & one digital and I weigh close to the same on both. I started back on my workout schedule yesterday so maybe I'll actually lose some weight this week. Wish me luck & good luck to everyone else.

So Back on April 2nd I started my journey and posted a picture of myself at my highest weight 184lbs and here I am now about 172lbs (gained some back)

I am not discouraged just more and more determined to drop some more weight!

You are awesome - I plan to look back at my pictures from last trip and compare them - I am only down 7 lbs but at 2 lbs a week, 4 weeks to go - I plan on being down about 15 lbs total. I would be satisfied with that - I ate out last night but I am back on track today. Hubby is home and I can't wait to get on the treadmill again. Also plan on buying Wii Active today.

Happy Memorial Day everyone

Be prepared for all the lunges. My legs ached all day yesterday. I could tell it was working.

Glad you had fun.
Please let us know when you get your TR up.
:woohoo:

Lisa congrats on your weight loss! Those 12 lbs. made a dramatic difference. It's probably all that dancing exercises that make such a difference! I've lost a total of 16 lbs. and while I notice my pants fitting a little looser, I don't notice a dramatic change like you!

I'm loosing weight from my legs and I see some change in my face....but not from my midsection!!!! What to do? I see all those ads that target belly fat but I had heard you can't really target weight loss like that. Anyone having luck with those "belly diet foods"?

Hi ALL:

Glad things are going well for everyone.
We've been at our small cottage on the water this weekend. And although I wasn't perfect I did watch what I ate.
I also when for a few walks and tried to stay active.

I am hoping I can make my goal by the end of the week and then I will post my weight IF i make my goal.

Happy Memorial Day

I am so glad I found this thread. We are going to dis in September and I would love to lose about 24 pounds. All for moral support!! Nothing like a slimmer me for those great pictures.

the diet that Prevention Magazine recommends? I think it is called the MUFA diet which stands for mono unsaturated fats. They say it really does target belly fat. You just have to work some of those MUFAs into every meal you eat. It looks easy if you are already eating healthy foods.:thumbsup2

Don't knock yourself - 12lbs is GREAT!!!
Keep up the good work. I do know that when you loose weight you can't control where it comes off but you can try and tone muscle in certain areas. Try doing some ab work outs and see if in 3 weeks you notice a difference.

Again GREAT JOB!!!!!!

I have been doing major cardio and some core exercises. Pointe is something I use to relax me and exercise. It just seem to go from there first ... my legs and arms are firmer but still measure the same.

And I only eat one regular meal a day the rest is Special Products....
Meal Bars
Snack Bars
Protein Water
Cereal

I count every calorie I eat and with Special K its super easy

I know what you mean, I have that problem too!!!! I actually can't see any difference yet, I have a LONG way to go and have only lost 9 pounds so far, but my pants feel a little looser and my friend, who I haven't seen in maybe a month, asked me 2 nights ago if I lost weight, so I guess that's a good sign! It's just so annoying, my HUGE problem area is my midsection, and that's the weight seems to come off of!

How has everyone been doing this Memorial Day weekend? I've been eating fairly well, but I haven't exercised since Thursday. :guilty: And last night I was enjoying a pina colada with one of my friends until I found out there are 200 calories in a cup of pina colada mix! :scared1: I quickly poured that down the drain! Today I'm planning on using my elliptical for as long as I can manage and hopefully I can convince my boyfriend to go for a walk on the beach later to make up for the last 3 days of inactivity!

Well, I have little motivation today.
I ate a bowl of popcorn (air-popped with that 'I can't belive it's not butter spray' and no it doesn't really taste that great) and a 100 calorie snack bar and three Starburst.
It's 12:20 and I am still in my bathrobe.....I just want to veg out all day....

I have just told myself I have the whole day off I HAVE to go to the gym no excuses and seeing Lisa's pics motivate me to get going....I don't want to look back at my pics and think, 'why didn't I try harder'...so as I sign off I am getting my clothes on and going to the gym.....

Eating this weekend is hard - I had 2 pieces of pizza Fri, restaurant chicken sandwich Sat, Chinese food last night - and people coming over for a picnic a little later.

I will stick to a hamburger, corn on the cob and water. On the plus side I exercised twice with Wii active yesterday (total og about 1 1/2 hrs) and walked in a 3 mile parade with my daughters Brownie troop today. I will do the Wii again tonight so I hope it will all balance out a little.
Also - went shopping for clothes yesterday and definately noticed that things fit me better and I am currently wearing a very cute pair of capri's that I could not have fit into three weeks ago SO - hang in there everyone it will be all be worth it when we reach our goals.
