Well, just back from Disney. I feel HUGE, got on the scale and BIG MISTAKE! it said I gained 5.8 pounds which honestly, I don't believe is true! I am very bloated and my fingers feel like sausages--i think I am having serious water weight gain since I am sure I ate a lot of food with high salt content. I figured I gained 2 or 3 tops so on Sunday, I am getting weighed again Sunday and starting back on track! This is the trip where I stayed the least amount of nights, ate less than I ever have before on a Dis trip( but trust me, I had the dole whip and mickey bars lol) and I have never gained more than 3 lbs. Today isnt helping, I took off from work as I got a phone call last night after midnight that my bag was found at the airport parking lot where we picked up our car! I didn't even realize it was missing...it had my wallet, cell phone etc in it. 5 hours after I got home, a worker found it sitting on a car! I think what happened was that I was looking for my parking voucher and had my bag in one of those rolly bags for around the airport with the little wheels on it. I checked thru my purse which was in that roll bag and put it back in there. I didn't zip up the roll bag and when I went into one of our suitcases that was already in the trunk the roll bag fell over. I guess I just grabbed it and got into the car not realizing my bag was on the ground! I had to go back to the airport this morning to retrieve it ( they notified me by calling me from my cell phone lol). I am so thankful that nothing was missing! The way I had my cash folded wasn't even touched. Thank God there are honest people in the world, as it could have been a big headache for sure! So ya know, it's been an eating day. Hard to get back on track after vacation but I will. Have a good day all!

Just checking in... I have been doing ok on my treadmill and I started some strength training today, sounds way more impressive than it is. Just felt I needed a bit of the other muscles to work other than my legs.

I got bloodwork done 2 weeks ago, and my numbers came back good on just about everything except my potassium level was still very low. So I got put on a potassium pill as my level is low enough to cause heart problems. I had to take a massive dose at first to hopefully kickstart my system and that just did me in. This also explains why I have felt so tired. I will need the level checked in about 2 weeks. I think the doctor just loves having me poked with alot of needles, :lmao:

I do feel like I will have decent stamina for our trip next month... I printed a few new Disney pics to keep me motivated.

Why can't I just wake up alot thinner, totally fit, and super healthy? :rotfl:

I've been doing pretty good this week...I've used my elliptical almost every night except last night because I took my kiddies on a long walk at work. Tomorrow is my 2nd weigh in for WW and I'm kind of nervous...it's that time of the month, so I'm not really looking forward to weighing myself! Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised! I'll let you all know what happens!

Good luck! :)

I gave up getting on the scale. Was weighing myself every single day for a while but then hit a brutal plateau. For the last 2 months, no lie, the scale hasn't moved one bit. It hasn't moved up either so I'm not complaining and truth be told I've been working out much harder than I've been dieting so as long as my clothing keeps fitting more and more loosely I guess I'm not complaining.

How is everyone doing? I did not go on the TM last night but I had done about 4 days in a row. Tonight I am looking forward to getting on it again. I am eating well and feel very committed to this. I have discovered RideMax and I have been staying up way too late planning my days in the park.

Hope you all have a great day - today is a nice light day for us in terms of after school activitied and that is always nice.

How is RIDEMAX?
Is it worth it. Can you explain what it is and how well it works?
Thanks

... I am even going to be teaching a Adult Dance Class and we are mostly gonna do fitness based dance and not only do I get to teach but I plan to do everything with them too ... :yay: It'll be so much fun

...

I wish I lived in your town, I would love to take a dance class like that!
It sounds like fun!

Good luck!

Today I got to the gym again, three times so far this week.
I am hoping I can sustain my weight and not gain anything this week.
Tomorrow I am going to a clambake for work, YUM and Saturday we are having friends over for an Adult night, basically just getting together with NO kids! Imagine a whole conversation with no interruptions:banana:, but I am sure I will have WAY to much wine and snacks.
The last time my DH and I got together with this group of friends without kids...I think was last spring....
Now that I think of it I am going to have A LOT of wine!!!!!
My DH is spending the night at my babysitters house, which will make for the second time she has ever stayed apart from us.

Have a great weekend all!:)

RideMax allows you to set up the attractions you want to see and it will give you a schedule that minimizes your time in lines. It is very personalized, meaning you enter in what time you are getting to the park , what time you are eating etc and it will set up the day.

I hear that it is very accurate but it seems amazing to me. I have never actually used it but I have read great reviews. It only costs $18 for 3 months access. I plan on using it in June and I will share how it goes.

I am so sorry for the loss of your pet.....

Have a great time at Disney!!!!

Thank you. He had cancer, so it was for the best. I just hate seeing anyone or anything in pain.

So when I weighed... same weight. Haven't budged. I know a couple others of you have mentioned this. I think mine's due to stress, change of sleep patterns (or lack thereof) and not eating what I've been eating of late - or translate that to eating some junk more often.

However, I do know that when you plateau, add calories to your diet. Sounds off, but what it does is get you metabolism off what it's gotten used to. Might be worth a try.

Looks like tonight is going to be one of those nights where I sleep very little. Have to get the house ready for the sitter and get all my crap done. Hope everyone has a wonderful week of being full, feeling healthy and happy and blessed, and losing weight! (weekend and week, since it'll be a bit before I can check in)

Weighed myself today...I lost 4 pounds!!! Yay! :woohoo: That's a grand total of 6 in 2 weeks! Pretty good, if I do say so myself! Hope I can stay on track like this all summer, I know once it gets really hot it's going to be hard to motivate myself to exercise! Next week I'm going to start doing some weights and crunches. I HATE doing weights, there is nothing more boring to me, but at least I can watch tv while I do it! :lmao:

Do you have any workout DVDs? What has been working for me is the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. There are three levels of workouts which are 20 minutes each (30 mins including warmup and cool down). She combines weights with cardio and ab training, it flies by, and it really works! All you need are hand weights (3lb, 5lb, 8lb, whatever works for you) and a mat for the floor work. I've seen some amazing results. :)

WOW! It's nice to hear that there are honest people out there!

Good luck getting back on track after your vaca.:yay::cheer2:

So my struggle with my weight made me hit an all time low. I was horribly upset about every aspect of my life but then I had an ah-ha moment and realized that I'm the only one in control of my life. I stopped feeling sorry for myself and I went and hired a personal trainer. I'm not working so that really was a big decision on my part. And of course, the lack of working leads into my stress/depression.....so here's hoping that I can drop some weight and feel better about myself. That would be amazing. I'll keep everybody updated. I start Monday.....not soon enough.

Today is Sat and I have been making my official weigh in on Saturdays.

Two weeks ago - 195.8 lbs

Last week - 192.6
Today - 190.4

Down 2.2 lbs this week - 5.4 lbs total in two weeks!

I am happy today. I do feel better. We went to a base ball game today and had to eat on the road on the way. I chose a grilled chicken sandwich at McD and ate less than 10 fries. But I did have some soda - I actually was not too tempted to eat a cheeseburger and TRUST ME that is a big favorite of mine. No treadmill today but did a lot of yardwork.

This week will be a big challenge. My husband is away for 7 whole days and I hate to cook when he is not home. Usually I eat a lot of junk. This week I am going to have to plan meals and grocery shopping tomorrow ( Sunday) I think I will stock up on some Lean Cuisines - they are good for when I make the kids hotdogs or chickend nuggets.

Hope you are all having a good weekend. I am down to about 35 more days before my trip.

Sorry for the back to back posts but I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND -

how did I gain 2 lbs in one day - yesterday 190 today 192 - i didn't eat that bad. This is the type of thing that gets me off track. And today I have to go to a family baptism and brunch. I do not plan to overeat and I will be on the treadmill tonight -

Try not to get discouraged and don't let this get you off track. You're doing great, keep it up. There are so many variables that make our weight fluctuate, this is one of the reasons I stopped getting on the scale every single day, the ups and downs were making me crazy.

Keep up the good work!

I just weighed myself this morning & I'm down to 178 after being stuck at 179.5-181 for two weeks!:woohoo:It may not seem like much, but when you're over 50 it's 50 times harder to lose. I had no trouble when I was in my 20's my weight ranged from 110-120. In my 30's it ranged 120-130 then the 40's hit and it soared from 130 to 198 at one point. I lost 50 lbs on a low carb diet then gained alot of it back as soon as I started eating normally. I have tried every diet out there and low carb is the only way I can lose anymore, I guess I'll have to stay on it the rest of my life if I want to get slim & stay there, but I like carbs too much.:guilty:

Yep, I've weighted (LOL) to the last minute for this! I ideally should lose about 80 lbs, however I know that won't happen by this trip. So, I'm looking to hopefully lose 10 (maybe more?) in 3 wks. What can I do? In my mid-20s, the way I lost alot was walking and then exercising for about 2 hrs a nite @ a gym, 5 days/wk, while taking a thermogenic thing from GNC. Man, I looked good  Don't know if that was quite the way to do it, but I felt like I was on a runway everytime I walked out my door!

How can I do this? About 2 yrs ago, I took an exercise/nutrition class @ the gym - 12 wk thing. Lost 10 lbs, but more in the inches than I thought I would. And that was working my butt off for an hr, 3 days/week, with a walk with the dog about 1/week. I work FT, am SuperMom (seriously - soccer coach, room mom, cook, household mgr, etc), and it's so hard to find the time to exercise. I know the right/wrong food to eat, portion sizes, etc., I think I just need to get the exercise thing in these days.

Wish me luck -

Thanks!

P.S.
Here's hoping everyone else is doing great in working towards their goals!

Dance is over till August so I finally get to take care of myself and enjoy a relaxing summer with just one adult dance class... So no more 10pm rehearsals for another year. Thank goodness :worship:!

Today I plan on working out on the Wii fit but also I plan on doing some of those Flab to Abs minus crunches workout ... Hope I don't fall off that big ball ... :lmao:...

I am also gonna lower my calories some since I will not be as active as before.

Hope everyone is doing well and working hard .... Welcome to all newbies any support, question, or just plan "venting" is welcome!
