Just wanted to pop in and say "hi". Newbie to the boards, but figured out how to sub to your PTR

We will be at Pop 12/4-12/11. DH, myself, and our 3 yo princess. Doing BBB the same day, only later. Also, doing H&V on Tuesday, but breakfast instead of lunch. Will be spending the rest of the day at HS and letting DH ride all his thrill rides!

Will definitely be following to see if you decide to do a Disboard meetup! What fun!

While I am (still) working on my day 2 plans so I can post them here, I thought I would add a few pictures from our Halloween fun so far. Last weekend we went to the local pumpkin festival and had a great time! Yesterday was pumpkin carving time and Olivia and I carved a Minnie pumpkin!

So, I'm officially majorly bummed and sad today It looks like no MVMCP for us. We were planning on going on the 9th and a good family friend who is like a second grandma to Olivia was going to buy the tickets for us as Olivia's birthday gift. Unfortunately, she is no longer able to this (L O N G story). The only way we could possibly make it work would be to give up the BBB, pick a pearl, and buying Olivia the Castle playset that's going to be a Christmas gift. I am thinking that we won't want to give all this up. I am waiting to tell Olivia until she wakes up from her nap, but I think she is going to be quite the sad little princess. We have been watching the planning DVD party scenes for over a month now, and each time she gets SUPER excited to see the characters in "Christmas clothes" and when it "snows". She also is excited to drink the "hot chocolate milk". I am thinking that I will just remind her of all the other fun stuff we will be doing and hope in her little 3 year old head it makes a bit of sense. So that is where I am at today, bummed and sad for my princess. I know it will be ok though...it just really sucks to be looking forward to something for so long and then have it fall through. At least we are still going to WDW though!

Bummer about MVMCP. You should still se characters in holiday outfits though. We went in January of 2007 and were able to see characters dressed seasonally. Not as many as MVMCP, but you should be able to find some.

Thanks for the pics! I didn't know that the characters were in holiday outfits. We didn't see any of them in the holiday get-up when we were there this past January-hopefully we just weren't observant!

We are also doing the Deluxe dining! Saying Nov 29-Dec9th. They are throwing in the standard dining free with our stay but elected for $300 more pp for the Deluxe dining.


We at first where thinking this is way too much food but we are doing many events that take 2 credits
-California grill
-Le Cellar "candle light processional package"
-Hoop Dee Doo Music Review
-Yachtsman Steakhouse
-Royal Table
-Narcoses

I am also learning they are including appetizers to this dinning plan!

On your list we are doing the 1900 park fare dinner, Ohana, Crystal palace, Garden Grill, California Grill, Le Cellar

Thanks! After hearing about this, I am pretty much over not going to the party, and excitedly planning on seeing the characters at AK (although now I need to do some adjusting on our only AK day to make sure we see them all)!

Yes, I have thought about it, and I think I am even more excited about the BBB!!!! I am thinking maybe we will go next year when she is older and will be able to stay up later.

Riding the carpets with Jasmine was definitely an awesome experience!

so sorry to hear about MVMCP. but you can see the costumed characters at camp minnie mickey like someone else said. and i also read a post on the theme park boards...........
someone booked a dinner at Liberty tree tavern for like 6:45pm on a party night. they did NOT have tickets. so by the time they got out of dinner, the party (this was the halloween one) was already going on. so they got to experience the atmosphere a bit as they strolled towards the exit. just as they got to the bridge, the CMs closed it down for the parade and told them to just stay and watch the parade even though they did not have tickets. that isn't typical, but if you have a late dinner ressie, maybe you could at least see the atmosphere of hte party as you exit? also, you can see snow at the osborne lights. my son loved it more there than he did on Main St!

Day 2: Monday December 6

Today is my most highly anticipated day of the trip, and I am so excited to share our plans...get ready, it's going to to be one BUSY day!

~Wake Up:
Me: 6:15
Toby & Olivia: 6:30

~We should be ready pretty quickly, especially when I tell Olivia what we will be doing today!

~The goal is to be at the bus stop by 7:00 (yes, even though we drive to WDW, we hate driving on vacation, and we love WDW transportation).

~We have a 7:45am ADR at:

Tonga Toast here I come!!!!

~I am hoping that since we have an early ADR, the bus will take us right to the Polynesian, if not we will take it to the MK and then take the monorail to the Poly.

~I am hoping that we will be done eating no later than 9:00 and then hop on the monorail to MK and get in a couple of rides:

~After our rides we will be heading over to Fantasy Land and:

~Olivia has a 9:55 appointment at the BBB, and I am REALLY hoping they are not too far behind (I do have a schedule to keep!) I plan on taking TONS of pics while we are here and I am putting Toby in charge of video! I have already decided to be a mean Mommy and I am not letting her choose her own hairstyle I am picking the Fairytale Princess style for this trip. I figure that when she goes again, she can choose, but this time I really want her to look like a "real" princess.

~After she is transformed into a princess, I am hoping we will have time to go over to the Castle Couture shop and do the photoshoot while she is still all clean and put together!

~When we finish the photoshoot, we will be heading to our 11:55 ADR at:

The Crystal Palace!! We LOVED this place when we had dinner here on our 9/09 trip! Here are a few pics from that night:

~I'm sure after all that fun, we will have worked up an appetite, which is good since we will be hopping on the monorail or the boat over to the Grand Floridian for our 5:00 ADR at:

How could I not let my new princess eat dinner with Cinderella?

~We are hoping dinner will be fairly quick since it a buffet. Why are we hoping it's quick you ask? Well, this is one of the few nights of our trip that there is no MVMCP going on at the MK so we will be hurrying back over there to watch the Main Street Electrical Parade at 7:00 and Wishes at 8:00! I love, love, love the MK fireworks and try not to miss them if at all possible!! Olivia and Toby are big fans as well. Toby has not seen the MSEP yet (Olivia and I saw it when we took a day trip last month), so it will be interesting to see what he thinks of it.

~After the fireworks there are EMH until 1:00am, and a possible DIS meet, so depending on how Olivia is doing at this point will determine our plans for the rest of the night. I hope she will be up for hanging out for a while so we can do the DIS meet!! I am so excited about getting the chance to meet other DISers!!!
